SHIELD THE PRESIDENCY FROM CONGRESSIONAL OVERREACH, REJECT AN UNJUST IMPEACHMENT TRIAL WHICH IS ALREADY MOOT. #EndTheTrial.

IMPEACHMENT ATTACHES TO THE OFFICE AND NOT THE PERSON OF THE PRESIDENT. IT IS MEANT TO SAVE THE OFFICE FROM THE PRESIDENT AND NOT THE OTHER WAY ROUND. IT IS ONLY REMEDIAL IN NATURE AND NOT PUNITIVE; AND SO, DOES NOT SURVIVE A PRESIDENT'S TERM IN OFFICE. 

NO PROVEN ISSUE IN CONTROVERSY: NO ADJUDICATION.

In any prosecutorial process, there is always a known crime, committed by the defendant, who is then indicted and tried for the crime followed by a conviction or acquittal and in some cases mistrial as a result of a hung jury. Upon conviction, there is a penalty or  punishment or fine. All the stages of the process are spelt out and in some cases codified to avoid any unjustifiable "making it up as you go" rules which might lead to persecution rather then prosecution because justice demands fairness. So, starting out, both the defense and the prosecution know exactly what the deal is. At any step in the process, whenever there is an intervention which will render the end result (verdict) impossible to reach the matter becomes a nolle resulting in discontinuance or dismissal. it is like a road block which makes further proceeding impossible. 

So yes the argument is not whether President Donald John Trump should be impeached because that threshold has already been crossed when the House of Representatives impeached the president last December 2020. The question is whether the process of his impeachment trial and conviction or acquittal in the Senate should continue now that he is no longer in office. To understand this, the test is whether impeachment trial survives the office of a president or terminates at the end of is term and to answer this, we have to ask ourselves  whether impeachment attaches to the office or the person of a president. The office is the res upon which impeachment anchors because removal of a president therefrom is the prescribed remedial measure of impeachment. It is to protect the presidency and not to punish a president that the sanction of impeachment exists. 

It is also important to note that you cannot ban a president from ever contesting for the office without first removing him from the office as the former is predicated on the later. Removal from office is the foundation upon which other sanctions are built on and without the first there cannot be the second. Since the president is no longer suffering any office there is no more office to remove him from upon conviction because he occupies none. Also there is no more office for him to remain in should he be acquitted. Therefore the process seeking either should and ought to be discontinued because it has become impossible to attain the objective. 

It is the case in every cause or matter that when the issue in controversy no longer exists or abates, the matter is automatically resolved because there is nothing more in disputation. The issue in controversy in impeachment trial is whether the president can remain in office or be removed from office. No such controversy presently exists, thus making the matter resolved and any matter resolved can no longer remain an issue needing a resolution by an arbiter. #EndTheCharade

IMPEACHMENT CHARADE: A PERSECUTION BY THE DEEP STATE, DISMISS IT NOW.

ICHEOKU says even our Lord and Master Jesus Christ did not receive it this badly in the hands of the Jews; at least they deferred his trial and conviction to Roman General Pontus Pilate. But unlike the Democrats who alleged the president committed an impeachable offense, impeached the president, charged the president, prosecuting the president and also sitting in judgment over the president's impeachment trial. How can any rational and reasonable person expect justice from such a kangaroo contraption. 

Yet some knuckleheads pretend that there is law and justice in America and you wonder how they can possibly explain away such a brazen  persecution of a president who was forced out of office through the machination of the electoral process. How can only one side to a matter be the accuser, the prosecutor and the judge in a case which factually no longer even exists; or is it no longer a trite rule of law that justice must not only be done but must be seen to be manifestly done. How can any person accept the injustice taking place, especially looking in from the outside, regardless of their dislike or hatred of the president. If they cannot subject themselves to such a skewed persecution, why then subject another fellow American, especially a president, to it.

Why are they doing this to any American talkless of a president. It is a scary day in America when such political gangsterism is tolerated, regardless of the color of it or the person currently under their vice hold. What is not right is not right and what is not fair is not fair. If it is President Donald John Trump today, who knows for who the bell shall toll tomorrow and many moons to come. At least the Democrats would have nominated an Independent Senator to preside over the trial but definitely not a Democrat in order to give it a semblance of fairness, since the Chief Justice's rebuke by recusing himself due to the illegality of what they are doing did not sink in through their cranial walls. It is simply unacceptable and portrays America in bad light as a land where anything goes and where persecution is tolerated provided it fits certain narrative and disguised under some coloration. 

Why the Republican Party is still going along with the farce is beyond ICHEOKU, but suffice it to say that some of them are participants in the grand conspiracy to diminish the president and somehow cut his larger than life political stature. But they should understand that millions of American people who belong to MAGA family are not conservatives nor registered Republicans and are keenly watching the development. They will not reciprocate kindly to Republicans during subsequent elections if they continue to participate in the persecution of their dearly beloved president and not end it immediately. It is a case of the hand of Esau and the voice of Jacob as the Deep State is the force behind the Democrats who are running wild with such a meritless exercise. The impeachment trial should be immediately dismissed as a non "justiciable" issue which is now moot because the president is no longer in office. 

Many foreign countries will be wondering what has become of the much touted America's justice system based on rule of law, watching the aberration which is currently taking place in the Congress. How can they change the rule and conduct impeachment trial of a president who is no longer in office and for a made up crime of incitement when what he said to "peacefully and patriotically" march to the Capitol was loudly said and heard. It is also true that evidence since uncovered showed that plans for the melee were hatched long before the January 6th speech, yet they are telling the world that it was the president's speech that caused the riot. This should no longer be seen as only a Trump's problem because it is not; anybody could fall into such a jeopardy someday regardless of political party affiliation.

Even the lame precedent they are trying to cite about a 1876 Secretary of War is not congruent to the present impeachment case. The Secretary resigned in order to avoid being impeached; unlike the president who was already impeached while still in office, did not resign or run away nor took any other overt act to prevent either his impeachment or trial, but served out his term. For the current impeachment to be treated alike, it requires an active effort by the president to evade impeachment and trial but there was none of that; therefore it cannot be treated like the Secretary of War's case. The president's impeachment process began while the president was still in office when he was impeached (indicted) by the House of Representatives, but was not completed with a trial and conviction or acquittal in the Senate before he left office. 

The remainder of the process cannot continue nor be completed post his office because the impeachment process attaches to the office and not the person of the president. The process terminated upon his vacation of the office of the president and therefore calls for a discontinuance or dismissal or whatever else that brings such process to an automatic end because the matter is now moot. Impeachment is attached to the office of president because it is a remedial measure used to check presidential excesses which requires removal from office upon trial and conviction; but it is not a punitive or penal instrument of war used to haunt down and punish a president post term. SEVENTH TIME IS SIMPLY MAGICAL: CONGRATULATIONS TOM BRADY.

ICHEOKU says congratulations to the greatest of all time quarterback in American football championship history. He is now Quarterback General Tom Brady. Well done TB and his Tampa Bay Buccaneers on their 31-9 victory over Kansas City Chiefs led Patrick Mahones in Super Bowl LV. 

SUPER BOWL LV: CONGRATULATIONS TO THE GENERAL.

ICHEOKU says although the odds favored his side but ICHEOKU had wished that the newer guy would miraculously triumph. However, he once again proved himself the GOAT quarterback as he led his Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a solid 31 - 9 points victory over Kansas City Chiefs. ICHEOKU says congratulations to Tom Brady and his Bucs for their victory while wishing Patrick Mahones better luck next time. 

The Bucs were just a better side, they outplayed and outflanked the Chiefs every where in all departments. The Chiefs could not effectively protect their Quarterback to enable him do his magic and it reflected in the wide margin of score recorded. 

But whether Tom Brady will retire following this latest victory or give it one more shot depends on him actually, as he has nothing else to prove to both naysayers and loving fans as being the greatest quarterback ever lived. With this he has led whichever franchise he played with to the Super Bowl and won the championship seven times. But, it is Tom Brady and he might go for another shot just to cement his record in Tampa Bay. ICHEOKU calls him the General, Quarterbacking General Tom Brady that is, as he has proved one again that no one is better than him with leading a football team to championships and this win shows that he can do it with just any team. Well done TB, a shared initials between him and his victorious Tampa Bucs.

SUPER BOWL LV: BATTLE BETWEEN VETERAN AND INSURGENT QUARTERBACKS.

ICHEOKU says either way history will be made by the untiring warhorse bringing home his seventh Super Bowl ring or the risen superstar dethroning the veteran and making history as the giant killer. Super Bowl 55th will be a good game and ICHEOKu roots for the underdog Quarterback Patrick Mahoney and his Kansas City Chiefs to beat Tom Brady's led Tampa Bay Buccaneers plus minus 7 points. Overall, may the better side win as ICHEOKU looks forward to watching a good game which matters to many fans most except of course Kansas and Tampa Bay fellas. 

AOC OWES US HIS NAME, HER ASSAULTER THAT IS.

ICHEOKU says Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio Cortez should name the person who sexually assaulted her in the name of full disclosure and as is the practice of #MeToo movement. It does not matter if the crime was committed by her father, brother, uncle, friend or a total stranger, in which last case she could be excused if she does not know his name. Although ICHEOKU believes her story as every woman should be believed except when the woman is named Tara Reade and the accused is Joe Biden, but some people are dubious of her story with some even suggesting that she made it up for sympathy and in order to draw more attention to whatever experience she possibly had during the January 6th melee at the Capitol. 

Therefore in order to lay every doubt to rest and shame all those doubters who are questioning  the veracity of her story, AOC should publicly disclose the identity of her attacker and whether there was police involvement or even a prosecution. It will also shame the perv and make him a publicly known predator which will help protect other could be future victims by affixing them with awareness. Tara Reade did it with respect to Joe Biden and so did all the other women who suffered similar harm in the hand of Harry Weinstein. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio Cortez should courageously and bravely follow suit as she owes it to the public. Such a public disclosure will also help debunk all the insinuations that she possibly made the story up. #WhoAssaultedAOC.

DOMESTIC EXTREMISM: BEWARE OF WHAT YOU WISH FOR AMERICA!

ICHEOKU says those who have never seen war call it fighting and anyone wishing America an internal extremism has never seen or understood what extremism can do to a country. All it takes is to push these people being wrongly accused to the wall and with nothing else to lose, turn them into killer beasts on a murderous mission. Timothy McVeigh was definitely not born that way but was triggered into committing one of the worst acts of attack inside America. Now imagine what will happen to America it thousands of patriotic Americans are triggered into a Timothy McVeigh by the constant attacks on their patriotism and love for their country. 

Regrettably, many Americans do not know that Somalia, Yemen and Afghanistan were once functional societies different from the desolate places which they have become. With the readily available weaponry in America, the destruction which America will witness, God forbid, these constantly maligned people decided that enough is enough and that they have nothing to live for anymore. It will be very detrimental and calls for the lowering of the current temperature in the country to enable things calm down. These accused patriots have no other country to call theirs and their anxiety will only tip over if they feel backed into a corner from which they cannot retreat nor recover. Please America, stop shoving it down their throats otherwise we might inadvertently get the wish fulfilled. Help reunite Americans, end the harsh divisive rhetoric.

SAVE AMERICA FROM FREE FALLING: REINTRODUCE MILITARY DRAFT.

ICHEOKU says it always befuddles me when the liberal far left disparages and/or questions the patriotism of the military. Military of volunteers who are prepared to die for the country and you ask yourself how else can any person be patriotic than willing to lay down their life for a country they love so dearly. How can any rational human being, no matter their politics or philosophy, accuse the men and women in uniform of hating their country such that they are going to destroy the same country which they swore to die, defending. 

But unfortunately these people do not know what it takes to serve one's country, the reason they recklessly run their mouth too often in such condescending manner in condemnation of real people who indeed actually served and protected the country and are still doing so till date and selflessly. 

These ingrates' latest theatrics is urging a purge of the military to get rid of service men and women who they consider of having possible ties to "domestic terrorist" groups. Meanwhile there is no stipulation or existing black and white lettered law on who a domestic terrorist is and how they will go about making this weeding. These are real men and women whose patriotism have been tested and tried; some of who took various daring risks, some jumping off from airplanes in the middle of the night and mounting improbable raids which to an untrained mind is the stuff only envisaged in movies. These are the people now being targeted as "domestic terrorists" simply because the value they placed on their country is somewhat different from those who would rather stand aside and watch the country go into ruins. 

So many of these people who badmouth the military do not even have international passports to have traveled anywhere outside America to in fact see the conditions people live in; the reason the military always risks it all to ensure that they are never deprived to the extent that their lives become comparable to what obtains in some places overseas. They also have little knowledge about the conditions in which the military execute their assigned foreign missions and what it actually takes to keep America great. They should have been pitied except that they come off as knowledgeable of facts which they know little about and should instead earn our general scorn. These people who attack or question members of the military are the worst human debris walking the grounds in America as their action is driving a bad sword of disunity in the body fabric of the military whose cohesion is necessary to remain the fighting force of reckon. 

ICHEOKU says the solution is to restore discipline in America by mandating every eligible American boy and girl to enlist in the military and give at least four years of service to the fatherland. This will help change their perception of the military and motivate their appreciation of what the military do to make their lives livable. But as long as these leftist spoilt carefree  Americans are allowed to live their life of privilege without service or sacrifice, where everything is readily made available to them, without a need for them to fight for their lives, including the opportunity to go to school through a GI bill, that long will their primary concern remain sex, alcohol and drug without any serious sense of duty to their fatherland. And because they don't know any better, they will continue to spend their energy casting aspersion on the military and by extension rev their attacks on other security outfits, including their infantile defund the police madness. 

It is strange but true that some of these Americans who do not even know how the steak makes it to the grocery store or how cheese comes about and who have a very skewed strange world view which they desire to apply to America, constitute majority of these anti military loudmouths. They cannot even keep and maintain their often times chosen lifestyle of sex, alcohol and drugs without the sacrifices of these men and women in uniform who they now want to brand "domestic terrorists" and punish simply for being fervent with their love for country. What a bunch of ungrateful louts they are. 

The panacea is to reintroduce the draft in military recruitment and help imbibe needed discipline in these people. Such will also help reduce the penchant for Washington DC to dispatch the military to every hot flashpoint in the world without a care about the hurt it exacts on families and friends of dead and wounded warriors. But if their own children and wards are part of the military which a draft will ensure, they will think twice before sending their fellow Americans into harm's way. #ReinventThem.

NANCY PELOSI: SO FULL OF IT, SHE ACTS LIKE A QUEEN SPEAKER.

ICHEOKU says why does Speaker Nancy Pelosi always act like Her Imperial Majesty by determining what questions she answers and how long her pressers last. With just a wave of her hand she tells the media "That's it" or "This is the last I will say on this" and such other dismissive reactions which she often makes. She did it with the Hair scandal; she did it with the tearing of State of the Union speech and she did it again with the Majorie Taylor Greene removal from House committees. Were she a Republican or President Donald John Trump, the media would have held her to account for being such a QUEEN but she never gets any pushback or bad commentary for her behavior bordering on rudeness. Why does she think that she is above reproach and that nobody should ferret answers from her and that only what she wants to say should suffice and nothing more. It is sad. 

MAJORIE GREENE'S REMOVAL: DEMOCRATS HAVE OPENED ANOTHER PANDORA'S BOX.

ICHEOKU says Democrats have opened another front in their attempt to diminish standards in America and make everything now subject to the whims and caprices of which ever party is in power as opposed to the preservation of what makes America, America. The bad news is that the things which they are doing now will someday come back to haunt them when the Republican Party takes back power. As everyone knows, power shift in Washington DC is encircle, so Democrats must not be deluded that they have finally seized power for good. It will someday shift and there will be a payback.

It happened before when former Democratic Party leader Harry Reid bent the filibuster rule requiring 60 senators' votes for confirmation of judges and justices simply because he can as the then party in power. When Republicans eventually took back power, they also used Harry Reid's precedent to have their way with confirming many judges and justices. It is bad to set a bad precedent because unintended consequences usually follows it. Now, it is removing of a fellow duly elected member of Congress from the House committees for views which she held and expressed when she was not an elected official that the Democrats have introduced as their latest ploy in the United States House of Representatives. It will bite them in due course. 

Just like Joe Biden is currently on a demolition derby course against President Donald John Trump's legacy in retaliation for President Trump doing same to Barack Obama's own legacy, so shall another president bulldoze whatever Joe Biden is currently doing with his executive order pen. To issue and sign over 47 such orders just within two weeks of his moving into the White House is unprecedented and he is acting as if executive orders will soon go out of fashion. The victim is the American people whose lives are now dependent on the feeling of whosoever is in the White House or who is leading the House of Representatives and no longer what is in the overall general best interest and benefit of the American people. 

Such a toying with the general destiny of the American people is anathema to the growth, health and unity of the country and should be condemned totally and without reservation. How can you punish somebody for holding  past opinions which were not illegal and when she was not a member of the Congress, assuming her opinion offends some members of Congress. So what if she is cuckoo in the eye of some people but does that now make her not a full member of Congress by denying her legitimate membership of House committees to which she is entitled to as a member of Congress representing her district in Georgia. She is not the first person to ever hold opinions considered not too kosher by some people but that does not make her ineligible to serve her people. Moreso, nobody should dictate to American people who to send to Washington DC from their district to represent them.

Our Lord and Master Jesus Christ said he who is without sin should cast the first stone but Democrats are acting the holier than thou script by not heeding this time tested admonition that all have sinned and fallen short of glory with their current attack against a fellow member of Congress. Is there anybody who has never said something which they later regretted and wished they never said. Who among all those people currently haranguing the brash Congresswomen from Georgia that can beat their chest and say they without blemish. So, why single out the Congresswoman for some intrusive examination of what she said in the past before she became a member of Congress. Such selective righteous indignation based punishment is not fair nor just and is the stuff despotism is made of. 

It is not fair and absent a general across the board condemnation of everyone who ever expressed an opinion considered by some others to be unacceptable speak or a stipulation of acceptable opinions for ordinary American citizen,  then she should not and does not deserve to be specifically scapegoated. How can she be held to account for things which she said when she was an ordinary citizen and not a member of Congress nor dreaming of ever joining the body. Does that mean that any American citizen who has ever held an opinion considered unacceptable will be sanctioned any time they ever get elected to Congress? Such looks too intrusive a punishment and should not be tolerated or allowed in a supposedly free country where the only speech code presently available is the First Amendment which guarantees every American citizen the freedom of expression. It would have been a different thing if she made those statements as a member of Congress and provided there is an existing speech code guiding members of Congress against such statements and she violated them, then any move against her would have been germane. 

But such an overreach as questions every speech and statement ever uttered by an American citizen, particularly one who never knew or dreamt of ever being elected to Congress is rather too broad an overkill and indeed an overreach. Which law did Congresswoman Majorie Taylor Greene break which Congresswoman Ilhan Omar have not when judged before some American people who find some of her utterances very unpatriotic. Ditto Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, Thalib, Maxine Watters, Kamala Harris and even Madam Speaker Nancy Pelosi, depending on who is making the subjective determination. But none of them was called out or punished for saying what they said but now it is Georgia's Congresswoman Majorie Taylor Greene that is being specifically called out, tried and convicted as an escape goat, really? America has certainly stepped on a slippery slope which will not do anyone any good with people now being judged and punished for mere opinions which they expressed in the past and which were not criminal, either then or presently. It is a sad precedent. #BadPrecedent. 

MITCH MCCONNELL HAS SIGNED OFF FROM THE REPUBLICAN PARTY.

ICHEOKU says there is no other rational way to explain Mitch McConnell's current attitude on matters involving the survival of the Republican Party as one formidable conservative party than to say he does not seem to care any more. He has completely changed from the conservative values loving Republican who used to hold the ideals of the party aloft to a now a shifty politician who takes it to members of the Republican Party.  

He attacked President Donald John Trump, accused him of being responsible for the January 6th melee at the Capitol and there is no evidence of the president's involvement. He has now has set his bile-sight on the Congresswoman from Georgia Majorie Greene and accused her of being a cuckoo; and you wonder which side is he now really on when members of the Republican Party have become his new chosen targets. Were Majorie a democrat, Charles Schumer and Nancy Pelosi would have shrugged it off and at best quip that it is for her congressional district to decide who they send to Washington DC. Needless to add that he also defended Liz Cheney on her attack on MAGA nation by voting to impeach President Donald John Trump. 

It is sad and regrettable that such a man who has benefitted handsomely from the Republican Party is now its arch nemesis. What manner of man is he anyway when this is what he has turned into despite being the leader of the Republican Congress and at his very advanced old age when he should be preparing new party faithfuls to assume leadership of the party by eventually turning power over to them. If a party leader could be this antagonistic to members of his own party, what does he or anyone else expect from the other party or even junior members of the Republican Party. But no, instead of being the mother hen of his party members he is rather more interested in currying the favor of Washington DC Deep State establishment and at the expense of the Republican Party's general overall wellness. 

The leadership of the Democratic Party never condemns their members or their foot soldiers; including the latest Eric Swalwell's sex scandal involving a Chinese honey pot spy. The Democratic Party leaders never condemned the Black Lives Matter and/or ANTIFA during their rampage and hostage taking of America last summer. But Mitch McConnell readily vents his pent-up anger on members of the Republican Party as well as the party's base and foot soldiers as represented in MAGA nation. Unlike the Democratic Party leaders who always show up to encourage their foot soldiers each time they protest, Mitch McConnell never shows up to say a word of encouragement when MAGA makes a stand. He also did not help the president during the last election including not passing the supplementary coronavirus economic aid which the president wanted for American people, the refusal of which partly cost the Republican Party the two Georgia's Senate seats. 

Now, he will sit in Washington DC and watch helplessly as Charles Schumer will deliver the same economic stimulus aid package for Joe Biden which he denied President Donald John Trump and you wonder where this fella's loyalty really lies when he cannot help the Republican Party win elections. It is sad that he is doing this now, believing that he is on his last and final term in office and does not need the party for any future election anymore; sort of used, abused  and now FINALLY dumped the party. Congresswoman Ilhan Omar dismissed the 9/11 attack as some people did something yet her party did not condemn her. Eric Swalwell did what he did with the Chinese spy, yet his party did not condemn him. Dianne Feinstein had a spy Chinese driver for over twenty years, yet her party did not condemn her. But not Mitch McConnell and you ask yourself how will posterity eventually weigh his actions as leader of the Republican Party. It is sad.

AOC PLAYING VICTIMHOOD?

WHY DOES SHE THINK THAT THE PERV'S ANONYMITY IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN PROTECTING THOSE WOMEN WHO HE MIGHT ATTACK IN THE FUTURE, WHO WILL OTHERWISE BE PROTECTED IF THEY KNOW WHO TO AVOID BY KNOWING HIS IDENTITY. CONGRESSWOMAN ALEXANDRIA OCASIO CORTEZ MUST PUT UP OR SHUT UP BY REVEALING THE IDENTITY OF HER ATTACKER OR THE SCHOOL OF THOUGHT WHICH CLAIMS THAT SHE MADE UP THE STORY WILL HOLD SWAY. #WhoAttackedAOC.

JANUARY 6TH CAPITOL MELEE: WAS IT REALLY AN INSURRECTION?

ICHEOKU says if according to the definition of an insurrection, the citizens of a country or society rise up against their government, why then is President Donald John Trump being accused of inciting an insurrection since his government was the only government in place in America on January 6th 2021. This begs the question can a president rise up against himself or his own government and if yes, who did he want to overthrow by doing so and from who did he want to take over control of the country? A government is one entity despite having three branches and only a simultaneous attack on the three entities would qualify as an attack on the government but not just on one branch of it. The judiciary and the executive were left unscathed and could still have carried on with their respective governmental functions had the attack on the legislative branch, Congress, been successful. 

This defeats the tagging of the melee on the Capitol of January 6th as an insurrection because it was not standing alone by itself. Even if it had been successful, it could not have been able to overthrow the United States government headed by President Donald John Trump. At best it was an exuberant unruliness that went too far and resulted into some unintended consequences. At worst, the president could be accused of delivering a fiery speech but definitely not inciting insurrection or sedition; and the first amendment shields every citizen of the United States of America from prosecution for freely expressing their thoughts no matter how passionately. A matter made even better because the president qualified his statement with "peacefully and patriotically" and there are no antecedents of him ever inciting violence against his government or any branch of it. 

Anyway, we shall see how the Senate impeachment trial goes but it sure will go no where all the circumstances considered, including the fact that the president is no longer in office as impeachment is meant for the removal of a president from office upon conviction. And yes, although the impeachment commenced when the president was in office with his impeachment in the House of Representatives, but its trial in the Senate automatically became moot once he left office and should be discharged. It is akin to a matter which was once illegal and later became legal which automatically also bars any further prosecution of people who were involved in it when it was illegal or would be involved with it going forward. 

It is unfortunate that the Congress filled with many lawyers and some judges are deliberately playing a game with what they should hold sacred, the sanctity of the constitution. There was no insurrection and even there was the president did not incite it and even if he did and was impeached for it, he can no longer be tried in the Senate because he is no longer in office and the prescribed punishment of removal from office is no longer feasible. A motion to dismiss will be in order because there is nothing before the Senate to try. Laws are spelt out for a reason, to spell out the dos and don'ts, in order to specifically narrow the road of conformity which the citizens must walk on to avoid any contravention. It is not left to the whims and caprices of the Congress or the Nancy Pelosi of America to choose and pick who to punish or what is punishable. Enough of the witch hunt; let President Donald John Trump be. #SayNoToUnjustImpeachment.

CORONAVIRUS: WHY SOUTH AFRICAN VARIANT?

ICHEOKU says where is the justification for identifying the new variant of the dread coronavirus disease as a South African variant when we were told that calling the coronavirus a Wuhan coronavirus is racist and that it will stigmatize Wuhan and Chinese people. Why is calling the new coronavirus a South African variant acceptable and not similarly frowned at since it can also stigmatize South Africa and its people. A matter made worse because the same variant of coronavirus has been found in two Americans in South Carolina, people who have never been to South Africa nor ever traveled outside America and the people don't even know themselves nor  ever met each other. 

If this new coronavirus is a South African variant, how then did it infect this two Americans in South Carolina? How did the South African variant transport from South Africa to infect this two fellas in South Carolina? Is it not possible that the new variant is just a new variant and that it did not specifically originate from South Africa. ICHEOKU says the proper name identification therefore should be a new coronavirus variant and not a South African variant.  The same standard of protection from stigmatization which was applied to Wuhan should also apply to South Africa because what is good for Wuhan China should also be good for South Africa.

GOVERNING BY EXECUTIVE ORDERS: SHOULD WE JUST CANCEL CONGRESS.

ICHEOKU says when salt loses its taste it is no longer salt but sand and it is dumped, thrown away. By the same token, when an arm of the government tasked with legislation abdicates from its function, forcing the other arm, the executive, to legislate through issuance of orders, it questions the continuing relevance of that arm of government which abandoned its function. 

Democracy is about the battling of ideas where the superior one usually prevails but the current political environment in the United States of America has made it difficult for this trite democracy imperative to continue to thrive. There is no more healthy debates and agreements on issues in the Congress, hence reaching a bipartisan understanding on anything is often very difficult if not impossible. This impasse have led to stalled law making in the Congress to the extent that they are now nearly redundant and wasteful as an institution to warrant their continued existence.  

The two main political parties in America now see each other as foes with irreconcilable differences instead of the opposition parties which they are supposed to be and which fights to win the battle of superiority of ideas. This paralysis in legislation is not what American people want nor deserve or bargained from their legislative body. Also nature abhors of vacuum and this inadvertently created vacuum is what has been filled by presidential executive orders and you ask yourself what then is the use of having an arm of the government which function has been subsumed by another arm of the government. 

The most devastating effect of such making of law through executive orders is that the "law" fluctuates and varies every four years depending on who is in the White House, thus making a nonsense of everything which America stands for and represents, including viability and stability and a place where investments could be safely made without fear of it being rubbished overnight. But when every president uses executive orders to cancel out a previous president's executive orders, it makes law fluidly and dependent on the whims of the president in power. It does not bode well for continuity and does not encourage investments and treaties between countries.

This executive order anomaly is exploited by both parties, almost uniformly and equally, which leads to a president always wiping out every executive order which was issued by the president  it succeeded. The latest of this legislating by the executive have seen Joe Biden issue over 27 of such orders within a few weeks of taking power, which is targeted at canceling everything which President Donald John Trump brought about. It is also important to note that President Donald John Trump's executive orders similarly targeted former President Barack Obama's own executive orders and sought to wipe them out completely. ICHEOKU says for how long will this seesaw, back and forth cancelations of a former president's executive orders by a succeeding president continue in America. 

For how long will investors and other countries continue to live on the edge over what an incoming administration might do to their investments in America. Imagine what those who invested in the Keystone XL pipeline project as well as the Southern border wall will be thinking right now over what became the fate of their investments. Imagine what those Arab neighbors of Israel will be thinking now after signing peace treaties with Israel only to now have a new American administration in Washington DC which thinks differently. How about those companies which invested in fracking who are now left hanging in the balance regarding the business decisions which they made by investing in fracking just because an anti oil administration is now in the White House. 

All these turpsy turvy in governance would have been avoided had Congress lived up to its primary obligation and effectively legislated on these matters and made them law. But no, the the Congress is busy with members fighting each other while relegating their duty which brought about this executive orders and the whole country is suffering as a result. Why must American people's lives be run by executive orders on a four to four years basis. Why is Congress no longer doing their job of legislating?  Is there still any relevance for the continued existence of Congress if they won't do the job for which they exist as one of the three arms of government. It calls for a review of their relevance and to an extent, whether it is still wise and productive to keep the Congress or should it just be canceled. #CancelCongress.
