ICHEOKU says apparently the season of suicide as less than a week after Kate Spade took her own life in her New York apartment, celebrity traveling foodie, host of CNN's Parts Unknown, Anthony Bourdain, has also killed himself. His body was discovered in a luxury hotel room in Kaysersberg village, near Strasbourg, Alsace region of Northeast France, where he was filming an episode of the 5 years running television series. Anthony was 61 years old.
Like Kate Spade, he also hung himself; but unlike Kate Spade who used her scarf to hang herself, Anthony Bourdain used his own belt instead. Also like Kate Spade who left behind a daughter who is 13 years old, Anthony Bourdain similarly left behind a daughter too, but his own is just 11 years old. Both suicides have no spouse at the time of their death as Kate Spade was separated from her husband who had filed for divorce, while Anthony Bourdain had divorced his wife. So technically, they were both lonely and alone, despite all their razzmatazz, camera, lights and action life of the rich and famous; thus begging the question, do the rich also cry?
ICHEOKU says he probably ate too much food over the years, from so many cultures and in so many parts of the world, from the slimy to the totally strangely absurd, and his body couldn’t handle it, not any more. He was a trained chef and it is on record that chefs commit suicide too often and you wonder what could be behind this. ICHEOKU says it is another cry for help that yet went unanswered and hopefully his demons will now leave him alone, now that he has done the unthinkable. Simply put, there are just too many dead people walking around and wearing a false plastic smile and struggling to mask what is eating them from the inside out. Often times, their demons get the upper hand after so many tormented years of battling them, goading them, pushing them, prompting them and urging them to jump off the deep end. So SAD that another victim has fallen to this monster before he could be extricated. Rest In Peace Mr Foodie. Adieu Mr Parts Unknown, Anthony Bourdain.
