VLADIMIR PUTIN RETAINS POWER: RE-ELECTED FOR A SIXTH TERM.
ICHEOKU says even Saddam Hussein once won so many re-elections in his hey days as the strong man of Baghdad until fate met him and dealt him a cruel blow. Like with every despot the world over, their day of reckoning is usually shadowing them and before too long Tsar Vladimir Putin will also similarly meet the fate of his peer-dictators. It might take longer than the others because of the peculiar powers of the Russian State which somehow shields it from any external invasion, but surely his reign will also come to an end someday, as well.
A man who ascended to power in 1999 is today in 2018 shamelessly claiming victory and proclaiming that he was "re-elected" again by his Russian people and you wonder what manner of a man is he indeed. When all is said and done, he will find out that his actions only ruined Russia more than it helped it; because when his ultimate end finally comes or he decides to relinquish power, there will be no apparent successor to mount the saddle of leadership in Russia Then it will down on him that there is no one groomed for a leadership position in his Russia, who could easily succeed him, resulting in descent into chaos and anarchy; which might not bode well for the greater welfare and political integrity of the Russian Federation. Whether Vladimir Putin knows it or not, or wants to admit it or not, his actions have inadvertently, negatively impacted Russia. Instead of midwifing Russia into a functioning federation where institutions are healthy and strong, Russia is now revolving around Vladimir Putin and gradually turning into a third world country under the thumb of one petty dictator.
ICHEOKU refuses to congratulate Vladimir Putin nor his Russian people for the charade of an election that is tantamount to giving their seal of approval and blessing on the foist dictatorship on Mother Russia. It is bad and it is condemnable and it is hereby condemned by ICHEOKU into to as unbecoming of any supposedly civilized society, especially an European society for that matter. Regardless of whatever achievements his 18 long years in power might have brought to Mother Russia and the Russian people, it is not enough reason to institute dictatorship over Russia, because someday Russian will be forced to move on without Vladimir Putin. He is a mortal and all mortals have an assured date with death and when the day eventually comes, Russia will rudely find out that they did not prepare themselves for a Russia without Vladimir Putin; and then will the unravelling of their country begin.
Most good leaders use their opportunity in power to groom their successors and they make way for them to learn on the job while they watch and give necessary helping instruction and advise on the sideline as retired statesmen. But when a power hungry and power obsessed little man refuses to see the big picture and places his personal interest above that of his country, then there is certainly something wrong with such a despot. Vladimir Putin is not doing his country any good by refusing to surrender the presidency; rather he is selfishly, albeit unwittingly running Russia down the tunnel of ruinous disaster. What would a post Putin's Russia look like and be like. This is the sixty four thousand dollar question which any Russia loving person should be worried himself or herself sick with.
Vladimir Putin, ICHEOKU says, please think about the greater good of Russia and what will become of Russia the day after you ceases to exist; and use this opportunity to help groom a successor who could easily step in and fill the shoes which is gradually becoming too big for any single Russian to fill. Vladimir Putin, enough of the suffocating sit tight dictatorship, embellished as re-elections and please learn to let Russia exhale. What a charade, another six years of despotism whitewashed as a re-election. It is a SAD day in Russia as there is nothing to celebrate with an assured election outcome.
