ICHEOKU says the weight of the pressure was simply too much for Madam Speaker to continue to bear and she threw her hands up in the air in surrender. The Squad wins and once again proves who is in effective control of Congress, despite a Speaker in name only. But why does madam Speaker Nancy Pelosi fear this quartet of rabble rousers this much.
Just one tweet from Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez chiding the Democratic Party leaders for their inability to impeach Trump; blaming them rather than the president, for the recurring situation in Washington. That was all it took, as nothing changed from President Donald John Trump of today and the President Donald John Trump of since the last Midterm election of last November 2018.
So, to prove herself tough enough and to curry AOC and her Squad's favor, Madam Pelosi finally did what she had previously said that she would not do, baring the establishment of factual evidence of wrong doing by the president. To say that this evidence is still no where to be established is simply over-flogging the issue. Imagine what just a few words can force somebody to do, somersault and declare a previously tabooed subject, now a fair discussion subject. Impeach the president for what - where are the high crimes and where are the misdemeanors.
But with this capitulation by Madam Speaker, what next would the restive four anti Trump women in the Congress force her to do; and fearing the erosion of her power hold, will readily oblige them. All it took was just one AOC's tweet and Nancy came around; because the same circumstance of no fact which existed since 2016 still exists till today in 2019 and you wonder why the sudden change of tone.
ICHEOKU says by the time the whole nonsensical Witch Hunt 2.0 concludes, the first being the Russian Hoax, whether or not the president is impeached, the exercise will be known as the only legislative achievement of the 116th Congress under Madam Speaker. But the sudden about-turn shows that when Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez sneezes, Madam Speaker Nancy Pelosi catches cold. Isn't it rather unfortunate and sad that this wild eyed crazed out four daughters of Eve have hijacked the Democratic Party and remade it in their own likeness.
