LOVE-JINXED JENNIFER LOPEZ AND SICKLY-LOOKING MARC ANTHONY, CALLS IT QUITS!
Icheoku once again wonders why so many people fall victim to society's conceited ploy to keep everybody unhappy, enslaved and trapped in the bondage called marriage. Marriage does not work, it never worked and will not in the future work. We are all individuals and it is utterly difficult to truly make the needed sacrifices required to accommodate another person called spouse. If there is anybody out there who truly thinks or believes otherwise, please let Icheoku know what foundational basis forms your position.
Icheoku was discussing the subject in a forum just recently and one of the guests, a woman, analogised the only way marriage works is to develop the relationship between a dog owner and a dog whereby the man(husband) is 'dog-fied' with the woman(wife) owning him with absolute, total, unquestionable control and slavery obedience on the part of the man. Icheoku quipped, but is that not what leads to situations where some women complain that "he is not man-enough for me;" to which she responded -that is is the plan as that will enable her to run circles around so many men in her lifetime. So objectively speaking, it is ok to conclude that marriage does not truly work, except in some strange settings such as where the couples adopt Will Smith and Jada type of open relationship and are living thousands of miles apart and seeing each other may be once a month or even a year? If it works so well why do spouses cheat, complain, run away and sometimes get physical and in some extreme cases, take the life of one other?
Anyway, as the girl from the block goes through yet another Adam, Icheoku asks when would Jennifer Lopez do what it takes to stay with a man or is she trying to out-do the late Liz Taylor who went through several men in her lifetime? From Ojani Noa to P-Diddy to Ben Affleck to Chris Judd and then to the now ex Marc Anthony, the girl from the block has truly proved that she was raised on the street; and who knows what value is now left of such a woman to attract any other reasonable and responsible man, except of course her money becomes the bait? 40 plus old Jenny Lopez from the block is no longer a spring chicken and regardless of what sent her to Splitville this time around, her record with men is no longer a laughing matter. Icheoku believes the other Jennifer, Aniston that is, now truly has a companion and co-traveler in the love-forlorn lalaland of "People Jinxed in Love."
In Jennifer and Anthony's statement announcing their separation - euphemism for working out our divorce-terms, the ex-couple said "We have decided to end our marriage. This was a very difficult decision. We have come to amicable conclusion on all matters. It is a painful time for all involved, and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time." Icheoku asks Jenny and Marc, if it was all that "painful and difficult decision," why then did they make it; why not just keep on keeping on with all the facade and pretended happily married couple they have been parading around since 2004 when they tied the knot? They should have continued the deceit - torturing themselves knowing fully well that they were not made for each other.
The truth of the matter is that the girl from the block was only once truly happy in love when she was dating P-Diddy and that is where her heart still lies; and until she swallows the bitters and goes back to Sean Combs, she will continue to live a lie and pine away. Both of them were perfect couple made in heaven and Icheoku advises Jenny from the block to find out if P-Diddy is waiting for her, the reason he has refused to marry anybody ever since including his baby-mama. As for the twins Jenny had by Anthony, Max and Emme; they have now joined the club of millions of American children whose parents never sacrificed enough to keep their marriage alive; but who choose the quick road to Splitville. It is so good to be free; if it does not work, just take a walk - it is fulfilling!
