ICHEOKU says remember the old saying as California goes so goes America and you wonder whether the government at the center in Washington DC will put the entire country under a complete lockdown now that the trailblazing pacesetter State of California has put its 40 million residents under a complete total lockdown or as the government would rather say, shelter in.
California governor Gavin Newsom announced the development today as he ordered residents to stay at home and only venture out for food, medicine and other life essentials. ICHEOKU says ponders what comes next and whether the upwardly mobile Californians will comply and adapt to a life they are not used to or will simply resist the order to do time for an offense which they did not commit, by staying home and not going out to indulge in their behavioral habits including dinning out, hanging out, doing neighborhood strolls and going to beaches.
ICHEOKU says no matter what happens, anything that will help bring the rampaging Chinese Wuhan disease under control will be good for Californians; as a short lockdown now is definitely a better and preferred inconvenience than a long agony of so many infections and likely deaths later. Italy, China, South Korea and Iran have shown what happens when a society is indifferent and rather reluctant to act swiftly to wrestle the Wuhan Coronavirus immediately. Let's hope that it will not be as that bad with Californians as well as the rest of the country; a hope which is somewhat suspenseful because the governor also added that more than 56% of Californians might be infected by the disease and many of them will likely succumb to it.
ICHEOKU wishes and prays for the best possible outcome; and says if the government at the center in Washington DC will follow suit, that they do so immediately so that the whole country can come out of the lockdown at the same time to begin the rebuilding process simultaneously. The Coronavirus has shown that we are not really as in control of things as we arrogantly think of ourselves. Imagine the United States of America tumbling down from its booming life is good times just a few short weeks ago, to where it is reeling now under the weight of Coronavirus, invisible microscopic organism. How the mighty American has suddenly buckled, succumbed to an enemy that is not even visible to the naked eyes, is a lesson in humility. But from the ashes of the expected devastation, America will rise again, stronger than ever. May God continue to bless America and save it from the Chinese Wuhan Coronavirus invasion.
