ANIMAL FARM STILL THRIVES, IS ALIVE AND WELL IN KENYA !

When one thinks that Nigerian Legislators are the real shake-down con-artists in Africa, bilking the country several millions of dollars in remunerations and allowances, here comes their Kenyan counterparts, racing to the top and making a serious claim to the title. Kenyan legislators, respectively, take home in just one week more than what an average Joe-Kenyan makes in an entire one year? It is true and this is not Ripley's believe it or not hoax; or any other make-believe story to rattle your intellect. 

Icheoku says this is a complete absurdity as only a none caring group of people could engage in who selfishly are milking the Kenyan State dry and without much to show for their time in parliament juxtaposed with the fat brigandage and looting which they are technically engaged in.  Worst still, these parliamentarians have so far refused or are refusing to pay their own fair share of income taxes on income received; such that out of 222 members only 2 are tax-compliant. According to the defense put up by these law makers in justification of their rather too high emoluments, their decision to pay themselves very high is to stem the temptations of corruption from creeping into parliament whereby parliamentarians may be vulnerable to easy compromise just to have enough money to meet body and soul's demand? As a result, they have to pay themselves like pirates in order to avoid being bought-over on every legislation. What a blackmail indeed?  Icheoku says this argument does not hold water as it is akin to a bank paying off an armed bank robber so that he would not rob them again? A corrupt person is a corrupt person and it does not matter the inducement provided to preclude his vulnerability, whenever the opportunity and time presents themselves for him to make extra bucks, he would always bite. It is the law of the fish - either out of hunger or curiosity, but they always get the bait inside their mouth? 

As if not bad enough, these law makers have elevated themselves above all Kenyans as they have refused to pay taxes too and it does not matter to these parliamentarians that even lowly street hustlers pay their own fair share of income taxes in Kenya? They make the law, so they reserve the legislative right to exclude themselves from such laws and its compliance or enforcement thereto?  In  a country where the average annual income is about $700 per year, these members of Parliament earn $9000 per month, yet they complain it is not enough? Are you still wondering now why the gap between the haves and the have-nots in Africa is so wide and the reason for the prevalence of dirt-poor people in the continent?  One of the most scornful argument these lawmakers put up was that they should not pay taxes since "they are traditionally expected to pass on some of their remuneration to their constituents in order for them to keep supporting them in every election? 

Now, is anyone still wondering the joke called democracy as being practiced in Africa where incumbents bribe voters to remain in power and new politicians and decent people are frustrated out of politics as they are denied every opportunity and attempt they make to break into governance. Poverty, poverty, poverty and for a few shillings these voters would sell their ballots and votes to people who but for their wealth and the crumbs that fall off their table, they would rather they did not represent them. These Kenyan mau-mau legislators even went to the extent of threatening to withhold state budget if their demands are not met? Icheoku says what a brigandage legislature at work in Kenya that will go to every and any extent to blackmail and shake down the people and government in Nairobi? And it does not help either to learn that one of these legislators, Harun John Mwau of Kilome DIstrict Kenya (pictured above), is a wanted drug baron; specifically so declared and wanted in the United States of America!

"THERE IS NO CORRUPT PERSON IN NIGERIA" - MOHAMMED ADOKE?

 

The former Attorney General and Minister for Justice, Mohammed Adoke SAN, has exonerated every past and present Nigerian leaders as not being corrupt but saintly; and not culpable in the various corrupt practices holding the country hostage. From Babangida to Obasanjo to Oladimeji Bankole to former governors, senators, bankers and other thieving public servants as well as future prospective criminals laying in wait to commit financial crimes against the people and state of Nigeria, all are without sin so says Mr Adoke? Mr. Adoke gave all of them a clean bill of health on corruption and you wonder whether it was a clever way of living the biblical injunction of he who is without sin should throw the first stone as the AG decided not to be otherwise holier than thou? 

Icheoku asks, if these people are truly not corrupt as the AG wants Nigeria to believe, then that very word "corrupt and/or corruption" must have lost its meaning or was wrongly defined in the dictionary; except of course Mr. Adoke has his own certain peculiarities. Icheoku asks, is anyone in Nigeria still wondering why successive governments and leaders try to out-steal their predecessors while in office - simply put, there is no consequences for their action!

GOVERNOR BLAGOJEVICH, NOT SO LUCKY THIS TIME.

 At last Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald has had his dues paid to him on the matter of Blago against the Feds as a Chicago jury believed his prosecutorial account of the criminal conduct of Mr Hair, former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich in trying to sell President Obama former senatorial seat and convicted him on 17 of 20 counts brought against him. 

It should be recalled that Blago was previously tried on these charges; however double jeopardy exclusionary rule would not apply in this instance because the jury in the former trial deadlocked. Double jeopardy requires that a verdict or decision be reached, one way or the other, in the previous trial before a defendant could invoke it as exculpatory weapon in any subsequent retrials based on same facts and evidence. 

Icheoku ponders whether Mr Hair would be able to maintain his hair while in the big house or as a good business decision, possibly lease his mane out to Donald Trump while his vacation lasted? Just asking or rather suggesting since The Donald could use some of Blago's mane.

25 MORE NIGERIANS KILLED BY BOKO HARAM, STILL RINGIM NEEDS MORE TIME?

Icheoku is worried sick by the inability and incapacity of President Goodluck Jonathan in being more decisive in the matter of IGP Hafiz Ringim continued stay in office. The IG's glaring inability to match Boko Haram criminals fire for fire is rather very disturbing and more disturbing is the president's refusal to let him go. 

The same president did not waste any time in firing the former IG Ogbonna Onovo due to continuing insecurity despite programs that were afoot to permanently address them. But look who is now accusing Nigerian Governors Forum that demanded for IG Ringim to be sacked as being too hasty and advocating for some time to be given to Mr Ringim to in his own words, tidy up the mess?" Icheoku says if tidying up the mess is to allow the murderous BKs (Boko Harams) to run loose in the land, then his time is since up and now is time out time for the woefully failed IG.  

If it were MASSOB embarking on a peaceful procession, the IG would have raised a battalion of fully armed anti-riot policemen to go and wreck havoc on defenseless innocent citizens merely exercising their freedom of assembly and speech. But not these BK anarchists. Several weeks after they took their war of terror directly to the IG's doorsteps at the police headquarters, following his boast that Boko Haram would within two weeks be a thing of the past, those animals have struck yet again and in their trail left 25 Nigerians dead at Dala Alamderi Beer Gardens, Dala Ward, Maiduguri, Bornu State. Icheoku asks President Jonathan, hasn't the Inspector General of Police Ringim had enough or sufficient "time to tidy up the mess" in the land, but has failed in his mission? Is Mr President waiting for a much calamitous mayhem to be carried out by these Islamic murderers before he can kick the incompetent IG Ringim in his rear-end?  What manner of a president would be this passive while watching a country supposedly entrusted to his care go to hell in a hands basket and now another twenty-five Nigerians have also been murdered by these Islamic terrorists and icheoku hears someone advocating for some more time to be given to the IG to tidy up what? 

Icheoku says whatever private/secret oath (Alusi-Okija) that the president and the IG may have taken to protect each other's office is simply not worth the current sacrifice Nigerians are being forced to make daily both of their blood and treasure. It has reached to such a saturating point that at this stage, even both Mr President and the IG resigning their respective offices would be a welcome decision.  Both men quitting their jobs should be a preferred option to be considered than the current insecurity in the land which is bleeding Nigeria and gradually turning it into an unprofitable and unstable Islamic Republic. Mr President, Icheoku says the Nigerian Governors Forum are not being hasty in their call for you to fire the IGP; rather it is you Mr President who is wish-washy and very indecisive in matters of state security and governance. Once again, Icheoku hereby calls and demands that IGP Hafiz Ringim be fired for incompetence and his job let another take; or what further evidence is Mr President waiting to understand that Ringim is not equal to the task of policing Nigeria and Boko Haram in particular. Enough of this your cult-like tolerance of the incompetent Ringim as Nigerians are dying daily, being killed by the Islamic Boko Haram while Ringim stands and watches helplessly!

'TIME UP FOR BOKO HARAM' - PRESIDENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN.

Icheoku says, now Aso Rock is included in the list of places Boko Haram will likely bomb as they do not take lightly to threats and uses preemptive action to upstage their perceived enemies. IG Ringim threatened them and they bombed his headquarters; the army has also called them cowards and Nigerians are waiting for Boko Haram to blow up the army headquarters in like manner? Now that President Jonathan has read them the riot act, Icheoku asks, will they blow up Aso Rock too?

What a pitiful Northern Nigeria Islamic terrorist group that so cowardly terrorizes Nigerians. Icheoku says it is about time this problem is solved decisively; we hope that President Jonathan is not just blowing his usual hot air, but is also resolved to back his words with action this time around. Regrettably though, Icheoku does not believe that the president has what it takes - the raw guts, needed to frontally take on this fanatical Islamic sect in like manner as was done with the Maitasine sect of the late eighties. The president appears too wish-washy and some times, too pandering and very indecisive to be sword-tip effective.

What a jerk these murderous mallams are that are spilling the blood of innocent Nigerians with impunity and shall Icheoku add that the failed Inspector General of Police Hafiz Ringim is still in office and only President Jonathan knows why! President Jonathan, please fire the darn IG Ringim now for his failure to follow through with his boast that the Boko Haram was going to be a thing of the past, several weeks ago! His office let another take as an incompetent IG does not deserve to remain in office, not one day longer not one day more!

HUMA ABEDIN, STANDING OR RATHER SITTING BY HER MAN?

 The also husband-tortured and husband-disappointed wife of former New York 9th district Congress man and frat-boy Anthony Weiner seems to have learnt effectively from her mistress Hillary Clinton on how not to abandon ship at its hour of listing? Huma Abedin appears to be hanging in there despite the odium and disgrace of being married to the phallus-flashing Mr Anthony Weiner. 

The woman whose husband was forced out of Congress because of his recent Frat-boy behavior, was sighted dinning with her disgraced husband at La Bottega in Chelsea's Maritime Hotel Manhattan, NYC; but they were more strangers than pals in their scripted act of being seen together having a normal life? But it appears that Mr Weiner has not learnt his lesson as he has refused to part ways with his smart phone that led to his downfall. In this picture, taken as they waited for for their meals, the disgraced former Congressman seems to be back in his game - "sextexting his manhood to another female porn star somewhere?" or at least checking something of such great interest that he could care less if his mad as hell wife was sitting next across to him? Icheoku says, may be this former Congressman needs to spend additional time at the rehab!

NEWT GINGRICH IS NOT THAT TYPE OF GUY.

And I think the program this morning was totally irresponsible, and personally reprehensible, and the kind of thing that makes it hard to get decent people to run for public office." - Newt Gingrich in defense of his wife, Calista accused of being the lightening rod which led to the mass resignation of his campaign staffers prelude to his ill-fated presidential nomination campaign impending fizzling out. Icheoku says, regrettably, Newt Gingrich is not that type of decent person envisaged in his statement as any human-being who could abandon his cancer-stricken wife on a hospital bed and elope with his mistress, Calista, who he later married, is anything but decent. Therefore the punishment fits the crime and Newt should quit whining and concentrate on securing his party's presidential nomination ticket!

Lesbians,Gays, Bisexual and Transgenders all roads leads to NY as Governor Cuomo has shown the way on what California and Governor Jerry Brown ought to be doing - championing equality for all. Icheoku says marriage is a union and it does not matter with what or who anyone chooses to unite; just leave the people alone. They were born that way and it is not a choice! ISLAMIC BANKING IN A SECULAR SOCIETY, AN AFFRONT TO NON MUSLIMS!

 

Icheoku is highly alarmed by the decision of Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi's controlled Central Bank of Nigeria to venture into Islamic Banking, so called? What is the need one may ask, of setting up a parallel Islamic banking system in a country that is supposedly secular and already operating a world standardized banking policy; and at this time of great turmoil in the land with Boko Haram murderously trying to forcefully Islamize the whole Nigeria, with other disparate nationalities within the geographical entity vociferously agitating for separatism. It is crass stupidity except that this particular man is not stupid but had carefully chosen this very opportune time to impose his Islamic agenda and/or banking policy on Nigerians for maximum impact. 

Icheoku is convinced that this is yet another smart by half ploy by Northern Nigerian Islamists to impose their way of life on the rest of the country, and to them it does not matter whether or not other non Muslims Nigerians like it. The previous Arabic words on the Naira having been successfully removed therefrom, this Imam serving as governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, on behalf of his fellow Northern Nigeria Islamists, is now trying to smuggle Islamic influences on our monetary policies and on a grander scale. Icheoku queries, why have an Islamic parallel banking system when there is no Christian Banking system or one designed specifically for Atheists and other denominations, including non-denominational Nigerians. 

Millions of Nigerians would like to know who the sponsors of this religious banking system are and why President Jonathan is still keeping quiet over such a highly sensitive case. Our suspicion is that it is the usual Islam propagating suspect, Saudi Arabia, that is behind this latest attempt by the Muslims of Northern Nigeria to force an Islamic Banking system on a country which is not an Islamic Republic. Were Icheoku President Jonathan, this arrant nonsense of a parallel Islamic banking system would not have see the daylight but nipped in the bud earlier. If Mallam Imam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi does not like it or says or thinks anything otherwise, just fire the SOB. Admitted he could still be fired for trivializing his office and using it to pursue a sectional and parochial Islamic religious agenda against the general interest of all Nigerians irrespective of their religious inclinations or lack thereof. 

President Jonathan should speak up now and call his Central Bank governor to order or strip him of the position for deviating from the course of what is normal for a secular country. If Islamic Banking was that so good, why did Somalia economy fail? Why is it not solely practiced in Islamic Pakistan, Indonesia. Iran as well as other Islamic republics. Icheoku concludes that the introduction of Islamic banking in Nigeria is ominous and would be used as a conduit for both money laundering operations for religious propaganda and manipulation of the Nigerian economy by the Middle East. 

Central Bank Governor of Nigeria, Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, should resign now or be fired for playing religious politics with his office, mixing banking with religion. If Sanusi wants to become an Imam, so be it; but he must first resign his office as governor of Central Bank of Nigeria and desist from the control and management of Nigeria's secular financial system. But to continue to insult our general sensibilities, using the instrumentality of the state as governor of Central Bank to pursue a parochial Islamic agenda in Nigeria is highly unacceptable. His job is a regulator of Nigeria's fiscal and monetary policy but not an advocate or campaigner for Islamic causes including the establishment of an Islamic parallel monetary policy in a secular Nigeria. Icheoku calls on Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi to just quit the office now as he has wandered off the reservation! 

DAZED AND CONFUSED, PRESIDENT JONATHAN SETS UP YET ANOTHER PANEL?

Apparently lost as to what to do about the intractable security breakdown in the country, the president groping in the dark, sets up yet another panel to "get to the root of the matter?" Icheoku says, for what and for what purpose is this latest panel when recommendations made by similar previous panels, have never been implemented or acted upon? 

There was the Jos crisis Panel, there was Abuja first-bombing panel, there was Niger Delta panel as well as so many other panels set up to "get to the root of the matters" under their respective advisement; but regrettably no action has been taken by the government in furtherance of these recommendations. Now another bomb has gone off in Abuja, at the very heart of the Nigerian Police service - their headquarters, and what action did the president take but to set yet another panel to "get to the root of the matter?" Icheoku says another exercise in futility by a president who is ill-prepared to lead a country as diverse and as complicated as Nigeria. A rudderless president, lacking in raw courage to do what is needed at this material time, sought refuge in setting up panels to once again "get to the root of the matter" that Icheoku ponders whether a destination of conclusive resolution would ever be in the sight of this president? 

Instead of wielding the big stick and breaking some shanks, particularly that of IGP Hafiz Ringim, over the embarrassing catastrophic security breach at the police headquarters, the uninspiring president is setting up another panel to "confirm whether or not Boko Haram is indeed a terrorist organisation and whether they are indeed behind the current anarchy spreading in the land?" Icheoku asks what is the use of this panel when the perpetrators are not in doubt since they have owned up to their atrocity. A decisive president would have instead, declared a full-throttled earth-scorch campaign against these lunatics and respond to their acts of war in kind. It is called reciprocity, period! But this knee-jerk half measures would be interpreted by Boko Haram as once did the other terrorists of Niger Delta as government unpreparedness to meet their challenge. 

At a time like this, admitted it is a very bitter and hard pill to swallow, an Olusegun Obasanjo presidency is seriously being missed; as that was all that would be needed for these Boko Haram scumbags to hike out of town into oblivion. Icheoku knows that no panel's recommendation in Nigeria ever sees the daylight and this current Boko Haram panel will not be otherwise. Mr President, instead of all these useless distracting panels you have formed the habit of setting up, is it not better for you to just throw in the towel if you suddenly found out that the office is not really the cake-walk you expected it to be? If the heavy-lifting is beyond your ability, just let another man try. What a rudderless, confused, lost in the wilderness and possibly very stiff-scared president, Nigeria is witnessing. A man who cannot even call the bluff of lobbyists and name his ministers, several months after his own inauguration. But why can't President Jonathan put a call to his godfather that never sleeps, OBJ, for some help - even if the Odi or Zaki Ibiam option?

JUSTICE NDEM EMOLE DIES IN USA, AN OBITUARY.

 

    LATE JUSTICE NDEM EMOLE

The Ndem-Emole Family of Abiriba community, Abia State, Nigeria, announces with great sadness but a total submission to the will of God, the passing away of their beloved father, husband, grandfather, uncle and brother, Justice Ndem Emole - a retired High Court Judge of Abia State.  Justice Emole died in Virgina Beach, Virginia, USA following old age related infirmities on May 23rd, 2011; surrounded by his loving wife, children and friends.

Justice Ndem Emole was 80 years old and until his death held the traditional title of Okwu Akachi 1 of Abiriba. He was born to the Late Ogbuwa and Oiediya Emole family of Abiriba and was an avid gardener by hobby. Justice Ndem Emole was survived by wife, Alice Emole, four daughters and two sons, five grand-children, one step-brother and two sons in law. His remains will depart Family Choice Funeral Home, Virginia Beach, Virginia USA for its onward journey back to Nigeria at a date to be announced by the family for his funeral and interment according to the traditions of his Abiriba community. 

A Northern California United States of America Wake-keeping for Justice Ndem Emole will be held on Saturday, June 25th, 2011 at The Emole’s California Residence, 1965 White Mountain Court, Antioch California 94531 by 6.00pm. 


At this time of great loss, the Emole Family finds solace in 2Timothy 4:7-8 which states, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now, there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who longed for his appearance.” The family believes that our dearly departed, Justice Ndem Emole, fell within the category of people contemplated by this verse and shall accordingly be rewarded for the good fight which he fought while his journey on this earth lasted, Amen. Adieu Pa.

JOHN McCAIN SAYS TO MITT ROMNEY, WHAT ABOUT FRANCE?

He is back, the lovable mavericky Senator John Sidney McCain and he is as truthful as whenever he wants to be. Icheoku did not like it when he denied being a maverick during his last campaign for political survival as a senator from the State of Arizona; however he gets a pass now for once again rising above partisan fray to point out certain absurdities of the Republican Party. This time, Senator McCain took it directly to sleek Mitt Romney, a man who America have come to loathe for his quicksand-like shifting positions on issues. To this cunning fox and former governor of Massachusetts, it could be daytime or nighttime any time depending on whatever  points or advantage he wants to score and he is shameless about it. According to the double-faced Janus and Republican Party's presidential nominee wanna-be, Mitt Romney, "Our troops should not go off and fight a war of independence for another country. Only the Afghanis can win Afghanistan's independence from the Taliban." 

For this Mitt Romney's ignorance of US foreign policy objective in the use and deployment of our troops, Senator John McCain reacted in disbelief, saying "If Reagan were around, he would be saying: That's not the Republican Party of the 20th century, and now the 21st century. That is not the Republican Party that has been willing to stand up for freedom for people for all over the world." And to those other Republicans in the House of Representatives taken hostage by the Tea Party fanatics, now threatening to cut military funding for the Libyan operations, McCain added, "I would say to my Republican friends: If this were a Republican president, would you be trying to impose these same conditions?" Icheoku says definitely not, they will not be imposing those conditions on a White Republican President; but since they have sworn an oath to make President Obama  a one-term president, if it means sabotaging US national security objectives to accomplish their mission, they won't care a hoot as according to them, the end justifies the means and that includes any end.  However, Icheoku commends Senator John McCain for braving it to speak up against a Rush Limbaugh and Tea Party controlled Republican Party's presidential candidate wanna-bes and Congress. Finally let the truth be spoken that it does not matter what President Barack Hussein Obama does to move America forward, provided he is still a blackman, those lunatics who do not see a president in President Obama but a blackman occupying "their" White House would still oppose it. 

Suddenly the Republicans known for years as the party of national security have suddenly somersaulted just because President Obama is so strong on National Security as they swore that President Obama can never do anything right by them. Regrettably too, Mitt Romney had to re-write history of our troops deployment just to meet the template of "nothing ever good can come out of President Obama" and forgot the Normandy landing that liberated France and much of Europe during World War 1 and 2. The bifurcated-tongued fake, Mitt Romney, also forgot that just recently, President GW Bush charged into Baghdad to liberate Iraqis and give them their freedom. A man so full of it, Mitt Romney, was prepared to suffer amnesia over the first President HW Bush first Gulf War when he sent in troops to liberate Kuwait from Saddam Hussein's invasion and ephemeral colonisation or should Icheoku say, annexation? Should Icheoku continue to enumerate our troops mission statement except that the Mitt Romneys of the Republican Party fringe have deliberately chosen for their brains to go into a sleep-mode on anything that shines good light on President Barack Hussein Obama and his presidency. 

Were Mitt Romney to be an honest person, he would have known that the purpose of the United States military, as an instrument of US foreign policy objective, is solely to bring freedom to freedom loving peoples of the world, anywhere and everywhere as it may be deemed fit and proper by the president. But it would seem that foreign policy is not Mitt Romney's strong suit and even his supposed economic feather seem to have fallen off when he stated that he would not have bailed out the Detroit Auto Industry while distancing himself from Romneycare which he sponsored and signed into law as governor of the State of Massachusetts. Icheoku says could somebody please advert this Mitt Romney to the statement by Nobel Laurette Professor Wole Soyinka that "history matters, records are not kept simply to assist the weakness of memory, but to operate as guides for the future" and see if he could safely wake up from his delusional shifting positions. 

There is simply no need wasting time laboring to make some race-blinded bigots see the light or accept the truth; otherwise how could any sane person explain that some of them claimed credit for Osama Bin Laden's killing; and bold-facedly stated that the honor of landing terrorism most coveted trophy should go to former President George Bush? Needless to add that these lunatics suffered selective loss of memory not to remember that the same GW had eight long years to nab Bin Laden but failed. Anyway, these group of people who would lie and mislead just to score cheap political points, such as Mitt Romeny and his co-travelers to presidency in their dreamland, are the real problem with America; but thankfully their mask has been removed and Americans know who not to trust with power. Imagine Mitt Romney and his Romneycare baggage, now jumping off into the deep end on foreign policy just to pretend he is what he is not. Thank you Senator McCain for calling Mitt Romney out on this and thereby holding him accountable; so please Americans, do not let this fluke called Mitt Romney beguile you; just say NO TO MITT ROMNEY, the MORMON; or did Icheoku hear he is now denying ever being one? 

GAY RIGHTS ARE NOT "A GUINEA PIG OF POLICIES THAT CANNOT BE IMPLEMENTED, NIGERIA!

Icheoku condemns the vote by Nigeria against the granting of human rights to gays, lesbians, transgenders and bisexuals as a religious driven bigotry that has no place in today's world. What the United Nations resolution seeks to do and will do is to protect the rights of individuals who were born that way and does not require countries to do much other than to treat these folks as persons and not some abstraction. So when a Nigerian foreign policy statement derides an effort to respect the rights of God's fellow creatures as "guinea pig of policies that cannot be implemented", Icheoku says it is indeed troubling. 

Nigeria, which could not even secure its police headquarters from miscreant Boko Haram terrorists and should use all the help it can get whether from gay or straight investors, is now busy urging discrimination against a people or group of people who are simply different in their sexual preferences. It is not a good foreign policy decision as the world have since moved on from being religion-controlled state-hoods to a much modern societies where every God's children, irrespective of religion, creed, sexual orientation etc are accepted as one enterprising one-world family and Nigeria should not be seen not to embrace such modernity of freedom for all God's children. What a pity this anti-rights vote by Nigeria is and another retroactive black-eye on Nigeria's not so stellar image; now to be known as a nation which discriminates against certain people who are different. Icheoku asks Nigeria, were the rights about racial equality would their votes have been any different and if yes or no; how about the present anti-discrimination resolution based on sexual preferences which passed without their input? 

Regrettably, these Nigerian foreign policy wonks forgot that so many LGBTs are multi-millionaire investors and directors in fortune 500 companies world-wide and will not be easily disposed to put their money in such clime that discriminates against people who are different. Icheoku asks Nigeria, how about now being known as an anti-gay country for attracting that mouth-watering foreign investments? A smart foreign policy position would have rather been to absent or abstain from voting, rather than acquiring the latest additional negative badge of a bigoted country that is not gay-friendly.

PRESIDENT JONATHAN SAYS NOT TO PANIC, TALK IS CHEAP!

 "This terrorist act should not be viewed as an attack on the police, but on the entire nation. I don't think the IG was the target of the explosion. Terrorism is a global phenomenon not peculiar to Nigeria. All over the world nobody is free as everyone is a target for them, but Nigerians should not panic; the security agencies will contain the situation. Let us be calm, we will get to the root of the matter" - President Goodluck Ebelesimi Jonathan. 

Icheoku says the president once again fumbled, in a manner reminiscent to when he prematurely absolved those Niger Delta MEND from the first Abuja bombing, on who the target of the latest second Abuja bombing was; as Boko Haram expressly stated that the IGP was their primary target. Secondly the president appears to want to excuse the ineptitude of his security team in failing to nip this terrorist incident in the bud by stating that terrorism is a global phenomenon not peculiar to Nigeria? Icheoku says if this president does not understand that his primary responsibility as the chief executive of Nigeria Plc is to protect and safeguard Nigerians; then he has a wrong job and no amount of passing the buck or trying to explain the inexplicable shall suffice as Nigerians demand a solution to the now intractable Boko Haram menacing terror in Northern Nigeria! 

instead of the usual pontification and photo-up visits to the hospital to see the wounded, President Jonathan should have done what any reasonable man in charge of affairs ought to do faced with similar circumstances - FIRE THE DAMN IGP HAFIZ RINGIM for incompetence, period! But no, instead, the president is being conducted around the bomb blast site by the same IGP Ringim, whose failure in this incident is so glaring that every Nigerian should demand his exit and NOW! How can the IGP explain that a terrorist found his way into his police headquarters and detonated his deadly cargo without being stopped or arrested earlier on his approach? If it is "wetin you carry egunje" harassment of innocent Nigerians going about their business by the Nigerian police, his police would have perfected their game; but stop a terrorist before he blew the police headquarters up in smoke, the police could not do anything to stop it. Icheoku wonders what else the Nigerian police is capable of doing if they cannot protect their own personal turf - their headquarters? 

Icheoku reaffirms that Nigerians have heard such a hollow assurances to get to the root of the matter and punish the culprits from the president in the past. Over two years has since past when the same president empaneled an investigative committee on Jos Plateau State security disturbances and several years has equally passed since the committee delivered their findings; yet President Jonathan is to make good his promise to bring the culprits to book no matter how highly placed they may be. Now he is assuring Nigerians as has become his stock in trade and should Icheoku say that those who killed the NYSC people have not been apprehended nor prosecuted yet? So a man who could not deliver on his promises and who could not constitute his cabinet, one month after his inauguration, might as well be incapable of doing anything holistic to arrest the insecurity situation in the country. The president appears to be full on promises but short on delivering or fulfilling them

May be President Goodluck Ebelesimi Jonathan should himself even consider resigning his office since he does not seem to be equal to the task of governing Nigeria and providing security for its citizens. Icheoku calls on Nigerians to stop passing the buck elsewhere but to leave it squarely on the president's desk as the chief executive officer of Nigeria Plc. If Mr. President cannot select a competent and well qualified officer to head and provide leadership for the police to do their job of providing security, then let the president take the blame for these security lapses. A man who failed as AIG in charge of Zone 6 when Abia State became inhabitable because of hoodlums was elevated to the IGP by President Jonathan and Icheoku wonders whether the president rewards mediocrity instead? Anyway, the choice is the president to make - either he fires the Inspector General of Police Hafiz Ringim for a colossal failure of security or he himself throws in the towel and vacate Aso Rock for men with balls to run things the way it should be. Mr President, whatever you decide to do, please do it fast as Nigeria must not be allowed to metamorphose into the Pakistan of Africa with bombs going off at every nook and cranny of the country. Please not under your watch, President Jonathan;  - hopefully IGP Ringim was pointing at his exit in the picture?

EKWEREMADU OPPOSES CABINET NOMINEE, PREFERS NEW COMER?

Icheoku says it is very laughable that a beneficiary in chief of recycling of political office holders syndrome in Enugu State Nigeria is now standing against another similarly situated politician from being reappointed as a minister? Never has the saying let the bridge collapse after I have crossed it, been more a truism than the present posturing by the Nigerian deputy senate president, Ike Ekweremadu, regarding the ministerial nominee from Enugu State, Fidelia Njeze. 

According to inside sources, the deputy senate president is not favorably disposed to the returning of current Enugu State ministerial candidate, Fidelia Njeze, as a minister in the new President Jonathan's soon to be constituted cabinet because he would rather have a new person step forward for the position and not a person who has been there for quite some time. Icheoku says it appears that Ike Ekweremadu suddenly had an epiphany and now the act of recycling of political candidates in Nigeria, particularly in Enugu State is no longer good nor acceptable to him;  as he has vowed to derail Njeze's re-nomination. Icheoku asks, why didn't the deputy senate president remember this ongoing political atrophy when he got himself rigged back to the senate and for the third time; or were there no other candidate from Enugu State that signified interest in being a senator? 

Anyway, that is atypical Nigerian factor now on steroids, that similarly saw President Jonathan breach the PDP's zoning arrangement only to later pontificate on the need for the House of Representatives to respect the sanctity of the party's zoning arrangement. Icheoku asks, are these politicians being the biblical Pharisee or are they simply suffering the hallucinatory effects of some substance that adversely impact their memory and reasoning that force their act to precede their thought? Imagine what a fool power makes of mortals that these people speak with their foot in their mouths? Icheoku admonishes Senator Ike Ekweremadu to better watch his mouth as he should have showed leadership by example by recusing himself from another senatorial term for a better spread of the political honey throughout his senatorial district? But no, he kept quiet and got himself in and suddenly there is a need to spread the appointments? Senator Ekweremadu should also remember that he who lives in a glass house does not throw stones or is it a case of the proverbial kettle calling the pot black? Icheoku is emphatic that Senator Ike Ekweremadu has benefited most as the longest lasting recycled politician in Enugu and should not be mad when another person gets close to his set records. As Enugu State's biggest beneficiary of recycled politicians syndrome, Senator Ike Ekweremadu has served in various capacities since 1999 - as head of service, chief of staff, senator for eight years and now on his third term as a continuing senator. Icheoku asks, can a man with such a trailer load of sins in terms of political recycling now be the one throwing the biblical first stone?

BOKO HARAM, AL-QUEIDA IN NIGERIA, BLOWS UP FORCE HEAQUARTERS!

Icheoku hereby and without any equivocation or mincing of words, call on Nigeria Inspector General of Police Hafiz Ringim to do the honorable thing under the circumstance - fall on his sword. He has failed in his primary duty and responsibility both to the president and the Nigerian people to provide security and protect them from harm and as a result his office let another take. Former Inspector General Ogbonnaya Onovo was dismissed or forced to retire because according to the government of President Goodluck Jonathan, he failed to stop the incessant kidnapping then afflicting the country. Now the current IGP Ringim has failed to stop the Northern Nigeria terrorist organisation, Boko Haram, from continuously maiming and killing innocent Nigerians and destroying properties on a scale never before seen; and should therefore resign or be forced out of service. 

There is simply no other option; especially with the latest brazen attack on the very turf of the IGP, the Nigerian Police Headquarters in Abuja. Icheoku says if this Al-Queida franchise in Northern Nigeria could be so audacious as to take their war of terror to the very doorsteps of the IGP himself - his own force's headquarters, then no Nigerian including President Jonathan is safe from the reach of this terrorist organisation. It therefore will be foolhardy for the government to wait for Boko Haram to assassinate a very prominent top official or inflict a monumental catastrophy before it showed the IGP the exit door in order to make way for a more capable and competent hand to take over the reigns and eradicate this terrorist organisation. Increasingly, it has been shown repeatedly that IGP Hafiz Ringim cannot secure the country, hence there is no business having him still at the helm of the Nigerian police force. He should go or be forced to go; either way, IGP Hafiz Ringim is not the right man for the job and this is the problem with Nigeria where patronage as opposed to competence dictates who gets what appointment. 

Enough is enough President Jonathan - either you lead with the best or just get out of the way for a real man to take the reins. This time calls for President Jonathan to man up and show his resolute-resolve that he is the real Commander in Chief and that every federal government official including the IGP works at his pleasure. Icheoku maintains that all circumstances considered, there is no longer any pleasure for Mr President in keeping IGP Ringim in office as he has failed in his primary responsibility to provide and ensure security for Nigerians and other nationalities living or visiting Nigeria. Ironically, the IGP recently proclaimed that the days of Al-Queida in Northern Nigeria is numbered and in response the same Al-Queida took the war of terror directly to him, at his head-office, to prove that they are not going anywhere soon and by necessary implication seem to suggest that if anyone's days are numbered, it is the IGP's? Icheoku wonders if the IGP is tough enough for the job and has what it really takes to punch back at those madmen who nearly took his headquarters down. Icheoku says if revenge would ever be so good, now is it; and it does not have to wait to be served cold - just as hot as the bombing and NOW!

Unfortunately, Nigeria is fast becoming the Pakistan of Africa in its failure to provide security for the people and properties therein; and the promise of Northern Nigeria Elders Forum to make Nigeria ungovernable should President Jonathan win the election does not help matters either. This makes it highly suggestive that the present apparent near-total security breakdown and anarchy in the country may be somewhat connected or is with the tacit support and approval of some very high-up Northern Nigerian politicians and military officials both retired and serving. Icheoku says President Jonathan must do all he can and should not also be too proud to beg or accept the American government's offer to assist in getting rid of these blood-thirsty mongrels. Admitted Al-Queida in Northern Nigeria learnt from President Jonathan's kiths and kins in the Niger Delta, but they seem to have learnt too much and must be stopped NOW before they plunge the country into another avoidable civil war of all civil wars that might well serve as the last straw. Enough!

ANTHONY WEINER, THE FRAT-BOY CONGRESSMAN FROM NEW YORK, RESIGNS!

Icheoku says it was about time the nudist former congressman woke up to the truth that there was no surviving the college-stupidity that he indulged in; and we had earlier called for his resignation. Our beef was not necessarily in what was done but in who did it as it was beneath the office of a United States congressman and then he insulted our intelligence by lying about it. Anyway, there is no need flogging a dead horse; the former unthinking congressman has resigned and owes us no more duty or explanation any longer. Whatever is left now is between him and his wife as purely their private matter; and whether they still remained married or not is also their prerogative. 

So one good decision was finally reached by this pervert, who molested us all by indecently exposing himself to all of us; so his resignation is a welcome relief, admitted it came a little bit too late. Shalom Weiner; but one last thing before Icheoku signs off, you might try your luck with CNN as they are in the habit of rehabilitating your ilks if you know what I mean - Elliot Spitzer has a gig there and you might also try getting one too!

THOSE TRAILING EYES APPEAR HIGHLY SUGGESTIVE?

Icheoku does not know about you or what you may otherwise think about the way those pair of eyes were trained on Mr. President. At least it they convey a common-on and an invitation to approach message, assuming you understand the language of Adam and Eve. Now the prevarications over, Icheoku asks, is there any romantic relationship between President Goodluck Ebelesimi Jonathan and that woman, Diezani Allison-Madueke, the former Nigerian Petroleum Minister? Just asking; but boy, those eyes are capable of pulling off an Anthony Weiner from Mr. President; admitted his dow demeanor doesn't seem to betray what his mind was possibly thinking and fantasizing about, except that any of such attempt will cause Dame Patience to go totally ballistic on her man, president or no president!

PDP ZONING MELTDOWN, BLAME IT ON PRESIDENT JONATHAN!

Icheoku says no other single person bears the greatest responsibility for the unraveling of the zoning arrangement of the Peoples Democratic Party than President Goodluck Ebelesimi Jonathan himself; who threw the spanner in the works of zoning when he defiantly ran and won the presidency despite the fact that it was not yet the turn of his South South zone to produce the president. There and then, did the PDP zoning-cookies crumble; so President Goodluck Jonathan should look no further at Speaker Tambuwal or any other person as the culprit; but should take a good look in the mirror to see the man who actually caused all the current zoning wahallah (confusion) eyeballing him! Icheoku says as the president points one accusing finger to some person elsewhere, he should know that his four other fingers are redirecting the accusation at him. 

Therefore to effectively solve the zoning problem, the president has to resign his office and hand over to North Western Namadi Sambo so that the zoning wheels can once again begin to spin effortlessly. Until then, the hot-air being blown about zoning shall remain a hocus-pocus without any meaningful end game in sight. Put in another more blunter way, President Jonathan killed ZONING in the PDP and henceforth, Nigerians should all feel free to aspire to any position regardless of the wishes of the PDP and/or even President Jonathan.

STREAKER WEINER SEEKS MEDICAL LEAVE OF ABSENCE?

 Icheoku asks for what and from what. The frat-boy Congressman should know that there is no sickness called "flashing your weenie" for which a treatment exists. What Congressman Anthony Weiner should do is the honorable thing, fall on his sword - R E S I G N ! 

That way he can make way for the healing to really begin; but as long as he strings it out, that long shall the world and the people of America want to know why he did what he did; and why his disgraceful conduct should be any different than the others who were forced to resign in the past.

ANTHONY WEINER, THE WANKING CONGRESSMAN FROM NEW YORK!

Icheoku asks is this Congressman specifically addicted to touching himself or doesn't he get enough from his wife that forces his weenie into jack-off mode constantly? Yet he is a Congressman representing New York 9th congressional district and you ask yourself what manner of men and women populate Congress if one of them spends much of his legislative time just fondling his weenie.

It is indeed regrettable that this pervert is a Congressman; more so, his refusal to resign his office thus far. Icheoku asks what moral lesson is Congressman Anthony Weiner impacting to our young ones or is it now okay to misbehave and still remain a congressman? 

Icheoku once again reiterate that the United States Congress could use less of the distraction of the nuisance being created by a Frat-boy Congressman, Anthony Weiner; it is about time he vacated the scene or is he waiting for the pressure to be mounted on his wife before he removes himself from the Congress. What a pity that this is the kind of man representing New York district 9 in the United States House of Representatives - a hyper-sexual addicted personality engaged in online sexual perversion of the highest order!

DALLAS MAVERICKS NBA CHAMPIONSHIP AND A $90,000 CHAMPAGNE!

 Comedian extra-ordinaire Chris Rock once explained the difference between being rich and being wealthy. According to this comedian, many black athletes are rich while those white men who cut their paychecks are wealthy. Dallas Mavericks owner and the man who cuts the players paychecks, Mark Cuban, falls into the later category of white men/boys who are wealthy. 

To celebrate his teams first NBA championship win, the ever affable and vivacious Cuban bought a bottle of champagne, Ace of the Spades, for ninety thousand dollars. On top of that, he left 22% tip for the waitress staff at the club. 

Icheoku says this is what being rich and able to afford things really looks like; but hey when your net worth is in excess of $2 billion, you can do whatever gives you joy and as fan number one, Mark Cuban just did that. Congratulations Dallas Mavericks for your championship win; admitted Icheoku wanted Miami Heats to win the championship so that the King can finally get his crown. Anyway, lets hope that the trio will still be bunched up together next year to just do that for Lebron; and provided the James alleged NBA curse is not true. Way to go Mark!

GORINESS ATTAINS NEW HEIGHTS, GIRL HOLDS MOM'S HEAD AS DAD SAWS IT OFF!

 

Unbelievable but true story as is usually reserved for Hollywood horror movies; a Tennessee man who stabbed his wife to death with a kitchen knife, forced his daughter to hold her dead mother's head as he severs it from the body and then dismembers the rest of the body. Pictured is Memphis Tennessee USA man, James Hawkins, 33, found guilty of killing and dismemberment of his 28-year-old wife, Charlene Gaither and could be sentenced to death. It is also noteworthy that the same psycho has been having incestuous sexual relationship with his daughter, who he forced to partake of the bloody dismemberment of her mother. Icheoku says this is the height of man's inhumanity to another being; and no amount of death sentence could wipe away such devastating memory.

NEWT GINGRICH CAMPAIGN SUFFERS MASSIVE CONVULSION!

 The fight is mine said the Lord; so all those ganging up against the Lord's anointed one are bound to fail - falling by the way side, one wanna-be at a time. If only these charlatan wanna be presidential candidates had listened to the Oracle of Republican politics, Karl Rove, who said that there is no vacancy in the White House 2012 for the republicans to fill, may be all these pretenders to the presidency may have saved themselves the embarrassment of their premature withdrawals. 

But no, their bloated personal egos were simply too big that it momentarily forced them out to the stage, such that even some of them who ordinarily could not be elected as Mayor of their cities, are now angling for the Republican Party's presidential nomination. However it appears that the man who abandoned his dying wife in a hospital bed and eloped with his mistress, Newt Gingrich, would soon follow these early back-out candidates as his entire presidential campaign team have given up on him and resigned en-mass in protest of his continuing as a possible candidate. So can a masquerade go to the village square without its retinue of minstrels? Icheoku hopes the heartless Newt will read the handwriting on the wall and withdraw from the race now before being disgraced at the Republican Party's presidential candidate nomination convention by a Tea Party-backed candidate. If he wisely do withdraw as expected, it will make it the fourth Republican wanna-be to throw in the towels; chickening out of the 2012 presidential campaign before it started for fear of practically being decimated by a much better positioned incumbent, President Barack Hussein Obama. 

Newt Gingrich would then join the other cowards, Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels, Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and Mister Loud-mouth Donald Trump; presidential candidate dwarfs who turned tail because of the formidable opponent they will face for the White House rather than any other thing. Newt Gingrich, Icheoku asks, when is the formal announcement of your withdrawal coming or is it not over until Callista says so?

CONGRESSMAN WEINER'S SNAKE, NOT THAT BIG AFTERALL?

Icheoku had previously reported that based on the pictured bulging briefs that nudist pervert Anthony Weiner of New York was well endowed. Icheoku was duped as it appears the Congressman exaggerated his equipment by adding artificial phallus therein. Now that the naked thing has been revealed, it does not seem to be of any meaningful size afterall; and since size matters, the Congressman must be feeling awfully so shortchanged by his creator. Judging from the latest nude picture of his equipment, the actual size should be about 3.5inches by 1inch; which is ridiculously tiny for an average honk who is well hung. Pictures does not lie, so take a good look at the naked picture of Congressman Anthony Weiner of New York 9th's phallus and be the judge for yourself.

OLADIMEJI BANKOLE'S CORRUPTION TRIAL, A HUGE JOKE?

Icheoku says imagine the camaraderie between the accused former Speaker Bankole and his prosecutors, the EFCC; and inside a courthouse? Icheoku says if Bankole could exhibit this much indifference to his travail publicly, then imagine how much have gone behind closed walls to imbue him with such confidence that nothing will happen to him? 

Icheoku says that Bankole's indictment is just another chapter in the drama playing itself out in Nigeria's ever intriguing political theatre otherwise how does anyone explain the too relaxed attitude at display during the arraignment as he laughs at a huge joke. Icheoku bets that former Speaker Bankole Oladimeji will not be convicted and will be acquitted on all charges and a due apology tendered to him for the little inconvenience of an indictment. Former PDP chairman Vincent Ogbulafor is still walking the grounds a freeman despite mouth-watering corruption charges; so why would Bankole's case be any different. So instead of asking, what's so funny that Bankole and his prosecutors are laughing about; ask, why is he not treating this case with some seriousness. 

PDP'S OBJECTION TO SPEAKER TAMBUWAL, VERY RUDE AND UNDEMOCRATIC!

Icheoku says it is regrettable that the Peoples Democratic Party is frowning at the election of Barrister Aminu Waziri Tambuwal as the speaker of Nigeria's House of Representatives and wonders what happened to the internal democracy being preached by the party? Or is the PDP's making a Pharisee-styled preaching which ensconces only "do what I say but not what I do?" So if the House of Representatives freely elected who they want to lead them, wherein did they get it wrong or in anyway had democracy trampled upon? Icheoku says for even entertaining this objection at all, the ruling party, PDP, has now metamorphosed into the Pharisees of our times,

The PDP high-ups are crying bloody murder that their purely internal affair and arrangement of zoning political offices among the various six zones in Nigeria has been messed up with the election of the North-western Tambuwal instead of their anointed South-Westerner. Icheoku queries since when has an internal private arrangement take precedent over a constitutional democracy which enshrined the right to choose? Icheoku asks, why didn't the same PDP top-shots cry with the same despair when President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan ran and was elected to the presidency, despite his action being anti-zoning arrangement of the PDP which pre-zoned the office to the North as the rightful zone to produce the president in 2011? All of a sudden, President Jonathan had crossed the bridge of no-zoning and here once again comes the road-block of zoning against all others? Icheoku says, somebody should drag the PDP and President Jonathan to court to explain to Nigerians how such could be possible? It is indeed very unfortunate the type of Yes-men and Yes-women Nigeria is saturated with; men and women who would sell their conscience just for a pot of porridge and cannot brave it to speak up when it mattered; but suddenly now it has once again become convenient for them to chorus zoning. 

Finally, Icheoku says Speaker Aminu Waziri Tambuwal is well qualified both in academic training and his experience as a long time incumbent legislator to lead the House and the House reserves the right to choose whomever it pleases to lead them. They have chosen Tambuwal and he is well qualified to do the job, so case closed PDP; so live with it. If you did not or could not stop Jonathan from going against the grain of zoning himself, why do you think Tambuwal will be an easy prey to chew and spit out. Icheoku says PDP should join Nigerians and say YES to real democracy; they should also support the House revolutionary vote for a speaker of their choice instead of towing the wishes of the PDP to rubber-stamp a supposed "rightful" candidate. Unfortunately, the PDP forgot that the House has other party's members therein and that it is not the place of the PDP to dictate to such diverse population as to who shall lead them. Congratulations Nigeria House of Representatives for being real democrats and showing the way forward on the art of separation of powers and that you will not be anybody's toy! Icheoku says if the presidency disturbs you one more time about your choice of your speaker Tambuwal, you may consider bringing articles of impeachment to keep them in check - it is your prerogative!
