TIM KAINE: A SPANISH SPEAKER INSTEAD OF A SPANISH, SIMPLY AN INSULT ON SPANISH VOTERS.
Icheoku says once again Crooked Hillary Clinton has outfoxed herself in her usual clever by half dispositive political calculations. She wants Hispanic American voters to believe that she is on their side; but instead of choosing one of them as her vice presidential candidate to prove this, she settled for her fellow white person, a white male, who speaks Spanish. Query, is the rotten dirty lying Crooked One telling Hispanics that they are not good enough to make her ticket or that what they really want is someone who speaks their language but not one of their own? Is Crooked Hillary telling Hispanic voters that all they desire and deserve is someone who can speak the Spanish language; or that since they "don't" understand English language, someone who can translate English to Spanish is as good as they could get close to the White House?
Icheoku says pandering has never been this blatant and you wonder what the candidate was trying to prove in choosing a white man who speaks Spanish, instead of choosing a full blooded Spanish man who literally speaks English as a second language? They are plenty of these Spanish Americans, who not only understand and speak English, but also are eminently qualified for the position of the vice presidential candidate. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro comes readily to mind. He is photogenic, youthful, possessed of a very disarming smile, tall and handsome, educated and has been in politics for sometime. So why did Hillary Clinton not pick him as her vice presidential candidate, if indeed she actually cares and respects Spanish Americans and seriously courts their votes and support? Why is Julian Castro not good enough for Hillary Clinton to choose as her vice presidential candidate?
The answer is simple, she does not really care about them and is merely pandering in her usual lip service manner to a political bloc she would rather are too stupid to know any better. By her choice of a white male, Hillary Clinton telegraphed to Hispanics Americans that she would rather court her fellow white people, the white males, than "ordinary" Hispanics, who could be so easily led by the nose. Icheoku says this insult to the sensibilities of Hispanic Americans voters and Hispanics in general can only be responded to one way - their rejection of Hillary Clinton through their votes in November. Icheoku would have not bothered with who Hillary Clinton choose as her vice presidential candidate; but to push the information out that Tim Kaine speaks fluent Spanish got Icheoku started. It is very demeaning to the Spanish Americans that their interest was considered protected this way. They therefore must register their disaffection by sending her a resounding message that they can see through her charade by voting for the other guy.
Reliable sources also had it that President Obama's preferred candidate was Cory Booker; at least to pacify black Americans that one of their own would still be around in the White House long after he is gone. But Crooked Hillary Clinton rejected the idea as she preferred a fellow white person, a white male, to rather appeal to her fellow white Americans, their males, who are resolutely against her presidency or its likelihood. Query again, how does Hillary Clinton plan to pacify black Americans who are still mad at her for calling their males Super Predators? A woman who together with her husband, was instrumental to the Crimes Bill that decimated black American communities and sent hundreds of thousands of them to prison and still held there. Icheoku does not know how President Barack Obama could shamelessly still campaign for this woman after this slap in the face by the rejection of his preferred candidate? This means that black Americans will now go from being used to seeing a black president in the white House to seeing no black face at all in the White House?
Then the issue of Bernie Sanders and his coolaid drinking fanatical supporters, who were looking forward to a vice presidential slot compensation. Neither their Bernie nor the Pocahontas Elizabeth Warren was chosen by Hillary Clinton and now someone please tell Icheoku how these people, many of whom had previously sworn never Hillary, would now be cajoled and corralled back to supporting Hillary? How could a woman, who Bernie Sanders supporters accused of not being liberal enough, now go to the far right of the Democratic Party to chose a more conservative democrat than herself as her vice presidential candidate? What message, short of screw you, is she sending to these supporters who felt the buns of Bernie; that their eldorado is not within view or that their support and votes don't matter? How is even Bernie Sanders himself feeling at this hour with the choice of Tim Kaine and not one of his own extreme left ideological divide as Hillary Clinton's vice presidential candidate?
Icheoku says the good news however is that Crooked Hillary Clinton, who has been severally accused of having bad judgment and making bad decisions, has once again proved this school of thought right, with her choice of Tim Kaine as her vice presidential candidate. What exactly does she want to achieve or prove with this choice of Virginian Tim Kaine? What other thing is Tim Kaine bringing to the ticket or supposed to bring to the ticket which is different from what Hillary Clinton already brings along? For the left of the Democratic Party, the Bernie Sanders bloc of Socialists Democrats, Hillary Clinton is already too far right and extremely hawkish. So how exactly would a vice presidential candidate who is considered to be to the right of Hillary Clinton appear then in the eyes of these Bernie voters and supporters?
How would they see this slap on their face that Hillary Clinton bluffed them and has total disregard for their free bees and expectation of partying like 1999 by choosing someone from outside their bloc? At the end of the day, Hillary Clinton failed woefully to consolidate the Democratic Party by reining in those Bernie buns and this will be a costly mistake she will regret and lament come November. Further, a wiser political tactician in Hillary Clinton's shoes, would have looked to Ohio and chosen someone like Sherrod Brown to consolidate Ohio and swing it to her side. But again, her very bad judgment was in the way and she chose as she did; thus greatly hurting her chances with Ohio voters. A people who want jobs and jobs and more jobs and there is a candidate who is promising many more jobs and is stronger on jobs creation cannot be otherwise persuaded without one of their own on the ticket.
Finally, the choice of Tim Kaine by Hillary Clinton, regardless of his qualifications for the position, does not additionally bring anything of much value to the ticket. Rather it frees up blacks, Hispanics and other minorities voters for either party to have a field day with. Instead of securely locking these bloc of voters on her side with a calculated smart pick, Crooked Hillary once again proved that she has a very bad judgment by blowing such a wonderful golden opportunity. Her choice also throws up Ohio for either party to grab and fortunately enough, Ohioans are pleased with jobs, jobs and more jobs message they are hearing from the other guy; and this will most likely swing the state to that other guy. Moreso the other vice presidential candidate is from an adjacent state to Ohio and it might rub off in deciding the election. Overall, Icheoku is not impressed by the pick of Tim Kaine and Icheoku is somewhat happier that Hillary Clinton failed woefully to lock in some of these political advantages. Now everything is fair game and let the campaign begin and begin seriously.

TRUMP SPOKE AND AMERICANS ARE FIRED UP, READY TO VOTE.
Icheoku says Republican Party's presidential nominee spoke to Americans. Americans heard what needs to be done to reposition their country on a free fall and are ready to show him they heard him loud and clear. Icheoku, like millions of Americans, are delighted that Donald Trump is a born fighter and he will fight mightily for the American people. Go Trump, Vote Trump and help make American proud again.

'DONALD TRUMP GETS IT, HE IS THE GENUINE ARTICLE' - MIKE PENCE
"You have nominated a man for president who never quits, never backs down, a fighter, a winner. Until now he's done it all by himself, against all odds. But this week with this united party, he's got backup!"
"Donald Trump gets it. He's the genuine article. He's a doer in a game usually reserved for talkers; and when Donald Trump does his talking, he doesn't tiptoe around the thousand new rules of political correctness. He's his own man, distinctly American. Where else would an independent spirit like his find a following than in the land of the free and the home of the brave?" - Mike Pence.
Icheoku says what a great speech rendered by Vice Presidential nominee Mike Pence, who confirmed that he rightfully earned his selection. It was indeed a powerful speech and he successfully sold the Trump-Pence ticket to Americans. Icheoku says congratulations to MP on a successful defense of his position and let the fireworks now begin to usher the next president and vice president Donald TArump and Mike Pence.

HILLARY CLINTON, CONVICTED!
Icheoku says when FBI director James Comy challenged any reasonable prosecutor to prosecute Hillary Clinton for her email-gate scandal crimes, little did he know that a seasoned Federal Prosecutor named Governor Chris Christie will take him up on the challenge.
Boy, was Governor Christie one heck of a good prosecutor; as he successfully presented his case and convinced a jury of her peers, the American people, that Crooked Hillary Clinton is guilty as charged and they agreed with him and convicted her. Icheoku says now instead of the White House, straight to prison off she goes. Crooked Hilalry Clinton is a rotten dirty liar who cannot be trusted with keeping America safe. She cannot keep America's secret, secret and is disqualified to seek the highest office of the land. Simply put, Crooked Hillary Clinton is a risky business, too grave a risk for America to take and therefore must be dumped. Say no to Hillary; Go Trump; Vote Trump and help put Hillary Clinton away for good.

RNC CONVENTION CLEVELAND 2016, OFF TO A GOOD START.
Icheoku says so far so good as the naysayers have now been silenced with the successful take off of the Republican National Convention in Cleveland Ohio, today July 18th, 2016. All the speakers so far have been stellar; admitted Mayor Rudy Giuliani hit a home run as the advocate in chief for Donald Trump. Icheoku loves the passion and eloquence as well as the delivery he brought to his speech. Donald Trump's wife Melania was good too, being the person closest to Donald and who peradventure knows him best and most intimately. Overall, it was a good start and Icheoku wishes the Convention the best of the remaining days. Go Trump; Vote Trump and together help make America safe in addition to making it great again.

GAVIN LONG: BATON ROUGE POLICE KILLER, AMERICA WE HAVE A PROBLEM.
Icheoku says it appears America is in denial, trying always to explain away certain things that happen, instead of seeing them for what they are - real problems requiring real urgent solutions; and trying to find lasting solutions to solving these problems. Like NASA astronauts would say, Houston, we have a problem; Icheoku says America, we have a problem and that problem is that so many disaffected and disillusioned Americans are tired of what is and cannot take it anymore.
The issue has now taken a completely scary direction that should give everybody serious concern because of the calibre of people now voluntarily sacrificing their lives to register their disenchantment. First we had the Dallas shooter, a former US army; and now the Baton Rouge shooter, another former US Marine and you wonder what indeed is really going on? Icheoku says dismissing these people as mere lone wolves and disgruntled Americans, is not the answer; but finding out why they did what they did towards preventing such future happenstance is the key here.
They are increasingly exacting some serious tolls on police officers, who are merely doing their job, but who these avengers see as representing those institutions which had shortchanged them for so many years and continues to shaft them till this day. These uniformed police officers provide them with readily available easy targets for their vengeance. In Dallas five police officers were killed and the gun man lost his life, blown up by a robot bomb. Again in Baton Rouge three police officers have been dispatched to the world beyond with the gun man also dead. So on the average, as to eight police officers killed and two gunmen killed, these killers are having the upper hands and this statistics is not what America should live with nor tolerate.
Enough of this madness; it is about time a long lasting solution is found to the plague that is ravaging the country. One death is far too many, talkless of eight or ten as the case may be. Icheoku says it is a frightening scenario when people, looking so lovingly as the Dallas shooter as well as the Baton Rouge shooter, go all out in this manner to register their disgust at a system many consider unfair and unjust and you wonder where are we headed to as a country?
The other fear is that there are possibly thousands of these people still lurking around and contemplating whether or not to follow in their footsteps and wrought their own terror at the opportune time. Possibly these folks have given up, having decided that living should not just be only about waking up every day. They wanted more and they desired more; especially after serving their country at the risk to their lives only to come back to a country that does not fully accept or acknowledged them as genuine or full citizens. It is frightening as it is gut wrenching that former military officials are now the instrument of death of police officials and somebody is trying to explain this development away?
Icheoku says a state of despondency is the worst place for anyone to ever be because it leads to such catastrophic consequences as we have seen just within the past few several days. It should give every one some concern and provoke in each American the need to show cause in actually and truly making everyone feel inclusive of the society in whatever little way they can help. We are all in it together and the Baton Rouge nightmare shows that it is not just only white people or their police officers that is at risk; one of the three killed was a black police officer.
People see these officers as representing something that is frightful and in the words of Gavin Long, bullish. The times are not good and it is about time, Americans wake up to the reality of the now and start doing something about the things that are rubbing people off so wrongly to decide that life is not worth living anymore. Preemptive and proactive steps are needed now more than ever before to nip the root cause of these disillusionment in the bud; rather than trying to disavow such actors as loonies or disgruntled strays of the society. Just like President Obama said last week in Dallas that it will not be the last time police people are shot and killed in America, no one knew it was going to be this soon.
Further, driving these people underground by hunting them down or becoming more repressive will not solve the problem. What is going on is terrible and it did not start today and the many years of protests and peaceful agitation do not seem to resolve things and the lackadaisical attitude seem to fan this disillusioned minds into acting out. Icheoku says we all need to come together and start being the best neighbor we can be to one another and try to share what we have as Americans with each other and not just a few getting alright while many others are left wallowing in abject depravity and feeling of not wanted. Who knows for whom the bell tolls and may God protect his children and keep them safe; may God grant the departed some repose.

BLACK LIVES MATTER IS NOT RACIST, RUDY GIULIAN GOT IT ALL WRONG.
Icheoku says the only reason some white people are raising hell about Black Lives Matter is that they have lost the narrative over the persistent racism in America as the world now truly captures what it means to be a black person in America. Previously their white only controlled media only projects the image of a honky dory America where everything is okay; while shutting off everything that actually showcased the actual oddity that is black American's life of segregation and subjugation in America.
But thanks to new media, information as well as real time images and videos of inhuman treatment of black people can now be globally seen, and timely as they happen, and the world is beginning to seriously ask insightful questions about the hypocrisy of a United America. This is churning the stomachs of some white people, who wished for the good old days when nobody heard nor saw what they did not want anybody to hear and see, and they are now trying to silence and quieten folks trying to throw light on a horrible experience. They are chorusing Black Lives Matter is racist, a blackmail of some sort, to see if anyone bites the bait to enable them shut Black Lives Matter down; but Icheoku says not this time. They did it with past black Americans attempt to bring to light their life situation in America, hunted people down, killed off some and ran many underground.
Icheoku says it is this mindset that led former cross-dressing Mayor of New York, a man whose political fortunes were waning until 9/11 gave him a booster shot in the arm and he shot back to some new relevance. Now Mayor Rudy Giulian had the effrontery to call BLM racists and you ask yourself what is racist about or in a group merely trying to draw attention to a people who have called America home for over 500 years still being regarded and treated as half humans and in some cases, worse than animals, not deserving of full rights as equal citizens of America and as enjoyed by their white counterparts?
Icheoku asks what is racist or wrong in human beings desiring to be accorded some honor, respect and every decency, deserving of rights as human beings? Moreso BLM is not disparaging other races nor asking that other races be made inferior or treated unfairly and are nor advocating that other lives do not matter. They are instead alerting Americans that their own lives should and do matter as well, period. The unofficial policy has over the years remained if no one hears about it, it does not exist; and now people are hearing it and shaming these pepertrators and they are beginning to complain.
Icheoku says all this anti-BLM will make sense if Giuliani could point to that aspect of life in America that is not racially tinged? And then by the same token, point to what BLM has done to make them racist? This makes it practically impossible for the police who are themselves products of a racist society to grow out of what they knew growing up and which is still prevalent in the society. The police are not saints nor were they descended from heaven and cannot simply be wished to be above the failings of human beings who are inherently biased. We all have our biases as we tend to treat our own more kindly than others, who we consider competitors that must be contained. So fighting back or pushing back this should not be regarded as racist; rather equality fighters, period.
Police violence and reactions to it is simply a reflection of two agitating opposites of an American society that is broiled in a storied racist past, which continues till today in one form or the other and another which is trying to improve the situation and make things better. A more embolden black youths have risen to organize themselves into activist pressure group, who are now poised to say enough is enough, not under their watch and not anymore; leading to the birth of Black Lives Matter. They are ready to point the searchlight on wrongs of the America society and their objective is to institute a level playing field for everybody's benefit. They want every American, regardless of their pigmentation to feel the bun of America; but has rejected and has refused to accept the statues-quo as the only possible option in America.
So as Giuliani tries to wax philosophical about what he knows in his heart of hearts to be untrue, that a people merely asking to be treated and respected as bona fide full citizens of the United States of America, are racists; Icheoku says only the truth will set everyone free. Black Lives Matter is not racist by any dint of imagination or interpretation of that word, but are merely contemporaneously demanding that other lives outside white lives should and do also matter. They just want to be included in the lives considered genuine and germane in America. They have reasons to despair and protest as continued subjugation is a fact of their lives in America and it cuts across the board.
It is not just the police that is being complained about by black Americans. It includes a justice system that is skewed against them with more convictions rates and longer prison terms. It includes a penal system that punishes lower black crimes more harshly than higher white crimes. It includes job opportunities thats not readily there. It includes their white counterpart getting probationary reprimands while they get mandatory prison terms just to stigmatize them. it includes punishing crack cocaine more harshly than snow white cocaine. It includes policies and economy that isolates blacks in certain deprived neighborhoods and communities. It extends and encompasses different areas of life in America without any exception; so the police is not the problem, the society is.
Icheoku's only prayer is that white Americans will not succeed in muscling and silencing this avenue of letting off steam; because if they do, no one knows what other outlet these black people might resort to. With what is happening in France, Belgium and other countries where their citizens are taking to terrorism and disturbing society's peace and cohesiveness, who knows what will become of America in the event black people are forced into such a desperate hateful situation. Icheoku hopes it will never get to that darkest point where black Americans will resort to terrorism to drive their point home. Any rational American will agree that protests is a much more preferred option than terrorism and every person or group of persons who wants to peacefully protest anything should freely do so without being branded racist.
It is an absurdity of a situation that several centuries after white people came to Africa and kidnapped the forebears of these black Americans from the jungles of Africa and forcibly shipped them to America to till their lands and water their crops, that they are still being segregated in their own communities, schools, jobs, neighborhoods, etc; and you wonder what then was achieved with all the civil rights acts as well as abolition. Black lives should matter as well or shouldn't they and why not? Instead of making amends and restitutions, these white people are doubling down and trying to paint BLM in bad light as a racist organization and you wonder how racist could an organization be that is simply asking to be respected and treated fairly? They did not say that other lives do not matter or should not matter or should be disregarded. So why give a dog a bad name just to hang it?
Icheoku says that 33 million black Americans might be too many people to either completely kill off or totally silenced? Also when one factors in that only about 3 million people are imprisoned in the United States of America, it becomes simply obsfucating proposition how Americans plan to house 33 million black Americans in prisons if that becomes the option. It will require increasing the current facilities and manpower ten fold to achieve the feat. Finally, choosing to kill them all off will not be that easy either nor will it be without consequences. This is no longer the fifties or way back in the days of slavery where the black man does not own weapons nor knew how to use them. If they feel hunted down and facing extinction in America, they will fight back. Like the Buffalo soldiers and Tuskegee airmen, they will stand their grounds and will also prove their mettle; and definitely will take a lot of white people along with them on their way out and as they make their exit from this world.
These scenarios are frighteningly unpalatable, so the better option is for both sides of the argument to tamper down their rhetorics and work out an acceptable middle of the road solution, instead of the very far positions each has assumed. Both should realize that we all are in it together and it is either we survive together or we perish together. There is no other acceptable way out. Instead of shouting at each other, we all should start talking and listening to one another. Instead of pointing accusatory fingers at each other, we all should start beckoning each other into a warm embrace. That way, it will be much easier to find out meeting grounds both as to how to palliate the hurting black Americans who are angry and also the scared white Americans who are afraid of losing it all.
That black Americans are hurting from experiences of the past which continues till this date is a fact. That white Americans are scared stiff that they are losing their country is equally a fact. To ignore either concerns is an unacceptable position for any of the sides to take or dismiss each other's fear as unfounded or none existent. But in any other event, white Americans must endeavor not to radicalize black Americans because keeping track of 33 million radicals or even terrorists might prove such a daunting task that will be too much to handle. There will be no greater enemy of America as we know it and which can successfully unravel it than a radicalized black American population, who having decided they have nothing to live for nor anything to lose, will go all out to register their displeasure.
In event of this unfortunate nightmarish situation ever evolving, America's downfall will accelerate faster than the Particles Accelerator in Switzerland. May God never allow the ever effervescing distrust to degenerate into that armageddon. May God help us all and may God keep his people safe and united; may God bless America, may God bless every American, including white people, black people, hispanic people, Asian people, native Americans, as well as every other people who call America home. If only Mayor Rudy Giuliani could rise above self and realize the gaffe he made and apologize for calling Black Lives Matter a racist organization, it will be a good starting point for the needed healing in America.
But thanks to new media, information as well as real time images and videos of inhuman treatment of black people can now be globally seen, and timely as they happen, and the world is beginning to seriously ask insightful questions about the hypocrisy of a United America. FRANCE UNDER SIEGE OF ISLAMIC TERRORISM, HOLLANDE CANNOT PROTECT THE FRENCH PEOPLE AND SHOULD RESIGN.
Icheoku says why French President Francois Hollande has not resigned his office yet for the triple terrorists attacks that have claimed so many French peoples' lives and destroyed so much in properties and psyche is beyond Icheoku's imagination.
The first job of any leader such as a president is to protect the lives and properties of the people he or she is leading; therefore a salt that has lost its taste is no longer salt and must as a matter of cause be dumped and thrown away. This is exactly what the French president owe to the people of France as these terrorism strikes in France is now three times three many. If he does not want to go by resignation, the parliament should impeach and remove him from office so that another leader who is equal to the task can step in and clean house, do the needful and save the French people from further deaths, trauma and agonies.
Icheoku refuses to accept that world citizens, particularly those who call France home, have now accepted Islamist terrorism and the frequency of ease with which they occur, destroying lives and properties, as their new normal. France could, for all intent and purpose, now easily pass for a proving grounds of Islamist terrorism, having suffered three deadly such strikes within a relatively very short period of time; that many are wondering whether the French president and his security team are indeed equal to the task of protecting the French people.
One attack is too many and three attacks of course are three times triple many; and must be brought to a swift end. Enough is and should be enough or have the French people given up on solving this problem that is continuously taking a toll on the French people. Icheoku says anything short of President Francois Hollande's resignation to make way for a fresh set of eyes and mindset to look into the problem and think out a solution should be unacceptable to the French people. Icheoku heretofore, once again, call on President Francois Hollande of France to resign his office forthwith and save France from all these embarrassments.
First was Charlie Hebdo; then followed by Bataclan concert venue massacre and now this Bastille day celebration massacre in Nice. Icheoku says another 84 French people dead, with several others wounded in just one day is rather too much to add to the toll which is already being exacted by Islamic terrorism on the French people, whose psyche must be greatly distorted by now. Extending the state of emergency is not the answer and will not solve the problem. An entirely new different approach is desired and is desirable at this stage and only the exit of the president would facilitate this and therefore President Francois Hollande has to go.
A more preemptory approach is needed which will meaningfully engage all Muslim countries in the fight against Islamic terrorism. These countries should be shamed into taking some responsibility for the lunacy of islamist terrorism, which is giving their religion a bad name. They should be ashamed that these hooligans have hijacked their religion and are wrecking havoc in their religion's name. At least they should be made to forcefully condemn these acts as they occur and align themselves to every effort being made to defeat it. But again, President Hollande has to go first before any meaningful solution-driven approach would effectively take roots. Enough of all these sanctimonious "Juis Charlie" or "Juis Bataclan" or now "Juis Nice"; time to do something to and that will end this madness is now. To the French people in Nice, Icheoku says our sympathies.

BRITAIN HAS A NEW PRIME MINISTER THERESA MARY MAY, HURRAY.
Icheoku says life has a way of playing tricks with mankind; and so it is that less than four decades after, there is likely an encore with Britain having a female Prime Minister alongside America with a strong president. In 1979 to 1990, late Baroness Margaret Hilda Thatcher held sway in Britain as Prime Minister while Ronald Wilson Reagan was America's president within the same period from 1981 to 1989. That situation worked quite well for both countries as well as the world which witnessed a sure-footed leadership provided by both leaders.
Today with the emergence of Theresa Mary May as British Prime Minister and the very likelihood that Donald John Trump will be elected the next America's president, it seems the circle has now gone full cycle. Britain and America will both have leaders that will help the world find its footing. Icheoku congratulates Prime Minister Theresa Mary May and looks forward to a Donald Trump's presidency that will help provide PM Theresa May the necessary American muscle to back her up and the two will help with necessary restructuring and reestablishment of a new world. Congratulations Britain on your new Prime Minister.

Obama Full Remarks at Dallas Memorial Service
Icheoku says overall a good speech; admitted the president lost Icheoku the day his government refused to sell Nigeria weapons with which to fight Boko Haram Islamist terrorists under some inexplicable reasons.

BOLA TINUBU, THE POLITICAL JUGGERNAUT OF NOW NIGERIA.
Icheoku says love his politics or not, one thing nobody would take away from Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu is that he is formidable and gets it. His a master in the art of politicking and navigating the fine labyrinths of politics. A political life which started a short years ago and has blossomed into a national following that is to say the least phenomenal.
He shot into the national limelight as a senator, then governor, morphed into regional organizer, king maker, astute opposition and crowned his effort recently when he defeated a sitting president and made another president through his political dexterity and sagacious maneuvering. He is courageous, foresighted, has terrific organizing ability and fearless, taking on Abacha through NADECO, Obasanjo as governor of Lagos State and Jonathan when they fell out. But he succeeded at the end of the day and today is the man sitting on top of Nigerian politics. Today, no one is more powerful in Nigeria political firmament that Ahmed Bola TInubu and they don't make his like any more, at least not many.
His diminutive rise not withstanding, he practically midwifed the current party in power in Nigeria APC, an amalgam of his AC and CPC as well as other mushroom parties. He fought off the government of President Jonathan and successfully led the effort that threw it out of Aso Rock. He single handily enthroned President Muhammad Buhari as the party's flag bearer, quashing all challenges the president had to emerge as a consensus sole candidate. He selected the vice president Bayo Osinbajo without any input from anybody. He choose several of current ministers including Minister of Finance whom he seconded from Ogun State to head Abuja money ministry.
People who tried to cross him did not fair very well afterwards and the current Minister for Power, Housing and Works could attest that it took his full prostration surrounded by several peacemaker before Asiwaju could forgive him after making him governor of Lagos State and the man thought that he has now grown enough wings to challenge his mentor. That Buhari's cabinet was delayed for nearly six months was a result of his unwillingness to forgive Fashola and Buhari wanted Fashole in his cabinet. The list goes on of people he has helped place in positions including the latest promotion of his erstwhile Commissioner of Finance Ben Akabueze who was promoted to Director of Budget in Abuja.

This leads to the issue being articulated here, the loyalty he shows to his trusted and loyal followers, the disciples of Tinubu school of politicking. Icheoku says the man certainly know how to cultivate following and maintain it.He also knows how to reward loyalty and has consistently shown it these past decades. Unlike his other contemporaries of the 1999 school of democratic politics in Nigeria, many of who have since become persona non grata even in their communities, Bola Tinubu walks tall and commanding because he is not too selfish not to take care of his foot soldiers and it always pays off handsomely.
Bola Tinubu, simply put, is a larger than life political colossus of present day Nigerian. Regardless of the not so far good results of the government he helped instal, and in as much as many Nigerians are now saying buyer beware and regretting the decision they made listening to Bola Tinubu and his change mantra, the man from Osun Stateremains what he is, big political player. Icheoku says congratulations to a man who identifies political talents and uses them successfully. He knows how to cultivate power and maintaining it; and nothing more needs to be said except that Nigeria requires many more souls like him. Asiwaju, Icheoku says this one is for you.
