ELECTION 2015, JONATHAN'S COMPARATIVE ADVANTAGE?

Icheoku says President Goodluck Jonathan goes into Election 2015 with a huge leg up over Muhammadu Buhari. In addition to power of incumbency and limitless cash base, Buhari's North is too fragmented to mount any serious challenge with a bloc vote. There is the Boko Haram North? There is the Hausa/Fulani North? There is the Cattle rearers North that has been killing the other Norths? There is the Christian North? There is the different Islamic sects' North? There is the Progressive New North? There is the Conservative Old North? There is NEC North? There is NEF North? There is the Almajiri/Talakawa North and of course there is the perpetually oppressed and ever marginalized Middle Belt North. Icheoku says galvanizing all these Norths into a united one North for Muhammadu Buhari, to serve as a bull walk against Jonathan, might be an unattainable uphill task.

But unlike the fragmentation problem Buhari will be facing in the North, President Jonathan for most part, does not face similar "to your tents Oh Israel" problem in the South? So, aside of the Bola Tinubu showboat shenanigan, the South is united in their desire to continue to drive the narrative on the future of Nigeria. The South, although not openly mouthed in some quarters, is proud that finally an educated person is at the helm of affairs after such a long time of ill-educated "itinerant do or die" leaders of the past, including the semi-illiterate army personnel Muhammadu Buhari. So when the chips are down, the South would come together and overwhelmingly cast their lot with Jonathan as opposed to Buhari whose antecedent is of a general knowledge. Equally in the South, both Christians and Muslims as well as animists and none believers are getting along very well and are not killing themselves. As a result there is no seething bad blood to create any wide chasm of suspicion and/or political insecurity between the disparate Southerners to result in an antagonistic anti-Jonathan voters' outrage. But please tell Icheoku which true son or daughter of Plateau or Benue State that would vote for Miyetti Islam to continue pillaging, destroying their farmlands, maiming and killing their people?

It is also worth noting that many Nigerians would, mindful of the ever restive Niger Delta terrorists who have mellowed down lately, vote for Jonathan in the interest of their-insured relative peace continuing. That way, it will be safe for everyone and anyone coming after the Niger Delta South-south has completed their term, as they will no longer have any reason to turn off the spigots. This Election 2015, Icheoku predicts that President Jonathan will trump Buhari and if the Hausa/Fulani do not like the outcome, let Nigerians revisit the Gideon Orkar manifesto. Say no to Buhari and please let Bola Tinubu know that Nigerians say "baa bu Buhari." Never again for this Buhari whose medicine Nigerians have tasted before and not in the lifetime of this Nigeria as is presently constituted and still trudging on. Icheoku reiterates that Muhammadu Buhari is so yesterday and the future of Nigeria cannot be safely anchored in his  arthritis ravaged phalanges. At 75 years, the septuagenarian has nothing to offer Nigerians as his brain has begun the process of calcification and their neurons are no longer firing optimally. Icheoku says instead of Aso Rock, Nigerians should send Buhari to a senior care facility to live out his sunset years in peace! AWAY WITH BUHARI!

I WILL BAN QUOTA SYSTEM - BUHARI?

Icheoku says when one thinks he has heard it all from Buhari, the veteran presidential candidate, now on his fourth attempt to hoodwink Nigerians and sneak back into Aso Rock, has thrown the mother of all statements. Muhammadu Buhari said he will abolish 'QUOTA SYSTEM' and 'FEDERAL CHARACTER' policies of the Federal Government of  Nigeria! Icheoku says Nigerians should either believe this guy at the pain of a future disappointment or just treat it for what it is - another blow hot political pandering of a desperate politician? Apparently, to say that Buhari is desperate for the office is understating his near exasperation as the man from Daura is near psychotic in his desire to re-assume the presidency of Nigeria. As a result, whatever he could say or do that brings Aso Rock's doorway nearer, is a good gambit and the man is deploying them in quantum-loads.

Muhammadu Buhari is now morphing into everything and anything to everybody depending on what moves the needle of their politics. Just tell Buhari what it is about him that you disagree with or which you are against and Buhari will magically appear on its opposite side as its campaigner and advocate in chief? Such has become his forte these days that the proverbial throwing of everything including the kitchen sink is now his strategy in order to sway Nigerians' opinion to swing favorably towards him. Icheoku asks should such a man be trusted and why should Nigerians believe him that he is going to follow through with all these promises when it is legendary that he listens to no one? Who is going to hold him accountable if he does not follow through since he will not be seeking a reelection as promised and therefore has no incentive to do the promised in order to secure a second term? But who is even trusting that an elected Buhari would honor his promised one term only in office, after all he did not keep his promise not to run for office again?

Icheoku says Buhari is deploying various strategies to help him get him elected. It is a trait common with the  Hausa/Fulani - deploying cheating, lying, deceiving, pretending,  maiming and even killing in order to achieve an objective. Now to the litany of promises and flip flopping of Buhari thus far. To those anti-coup Nigerians who stand unshakably against his candidacy because of his overthrow of President Shehu Shagari's democratically elected government, Buhari in currying their favor, completely disassociated himself from the coup and instead blamed Ibrahim Babangida and Sani Abacha for the putsch?  According to his tale, after the boys risked their necks to pull off the criminal act of a military coup de tat, they collectively "stepped aside" for him to reap where he did not sow? Icheoku says believe that on your own sanity question.  To those Nigerians who said he was too despotic, he said, hell no, it was my second in command Tunde Idiagbon who was an unrepentant viciousness incarnate. Unfortunately Idiagbon, who was poisoned in Aso Rock, is no longer alive to defend himself; but anyone believing this Buhari's tale, must first have to check his head for some misfiring neurons.

To those Nigerians who assailed him for murdering those three innocent Nigerians based on a retroactive death decree, Buhari denied complicity and indeed blamed Supreme Military Council for insisting that those Nigerians be murdered? Icheoku says really? To those Nigerians who blamed Buhari for decree 4 and for the imprisonment of Tunde Thompson and Nduka Irabor, Buhari said his government was only protecting civil servants in order to create a conducive atmosphere for them to function properly? Icheoku says what a tale by the moonlight except that Nduka Irabor and Tunde Thompson seem to have been 'settled', the Nigerian way; as they have maintained sealed lips on the Buhari question thus far.

Muhammadu Buhari also denied that he is not an Islamic fanatical zealot by pointing at Chuba Okadigbo, Edwin Umezoke and Pastor Tunde Bakare as all Christians he has ran for office of the presidency with over the years? Except that he did not go further to explain why he supported the introduction of SHARIA in Northwestern Nigeria and similarly prohibited the drinking of beer before 5.00pm during his first time in power throughout Nigeria including Christian Southern Nigeria? Buhari has also not explained why he forced his wife into a life in Purdah as Nigerians wonder in the event of his win, who will serve as Nigeria's First Lady, unless he plans to also proscribe the office?

Now to the latest of his bombshell, meant as red meat for all those overachieving Nigerians who are anti quota system and federal character, Buhari promised to go hard on those almajiris Northerners who are demanding equal opportunity when they are not as qualified? Icheoku says to Buhari, please tell that to the marines as we are not buying into the tale and anyone who believes that Buhari will see this promise through might as well believe in snake oil salesmen. Listen to Muhammadu Buhari on the issue of quota system and federal character catchment policy of the Federal Government of Nigeria. Policies which routinely sacrifices merit on the alter of trying to carry Northerners along, resulting in over qualified Southern students not getting placements in Universities and colleges in order to make room for mediocre Northern students and which deny appointments to over qualified Southerners for beginner Northerners. Hear Muhammdu Buhari now in his own words:-

"I think it is important in the federation when you come to the centre, it is better for people to feel that they too are participating at the centre. But it must not be at the expense of standards. Any geopolitical zone or state, if they want their people to participate at the centre, must ensure they can compete professionally. You can't take somebody who did not go to school or who said he went to the university but cannot write a two-page memo, to become a permanent secretary. How will he do it? How can he articulate policies that will be taken to executive council to be debated by ministers? We really have a problem. We have to remove sentiments and not excite or provoke our constituencies that they have to participate. You can only participate if you develop the capacity to participate." - Muhammadu Buhari, APC Presidential candidate contender (The Cable Interview).

Icheoku says those are Buhari's own exact words as he claims he will stop unqualified and under qualified, as well as incompetent Hausa/Fulani Northerners from getting special 'handicapped' treatment in Nigeria. By this, Buhari has promised to ban the skewed 'quota system and federal character' policies and replace it with an all comers, open season, qualified, competency and ability test. Icheoku says of all that Buhari has so far said and promised, this sounds most far reaching and encouraging; except that in silly season of politics, politicians would promise to even raise one's dead mother in order to get one's vote. Nigerians, like every other peoples in other democracies know better that politicians, the lying scoundrels of society they are, readily forget they ever made some promises once the election has come and gone until the next episode.

Icheoku says to hell with Buhari and his truckload of promises as his second coming can only drag Nigerians thirty something odd years back. Who wants Nigeria to go back to the time when there was still 'Union of Socialists Soviet Republics; who wants to continue the ding dong one step forward, two steps backwards that has been Nigeria's modus operandi for sometime? Definitely not Icheoku and not anyone seriously interested in a new dawn for Nigeria. Nigerians please reject Buhari and let Bola Tinubu know that Nigerians do not want a Buhari flying the APC presidential candidate flag this 2015.

BUHARI RULED NIGERIA WHEN REAGAN WAS PRESIDENT?

In Buhari's own words:-
"Secondly the American president then, Ronald Reagan, sent his friend, General Walters, to me saying we should accept the IMF program." - Muhammadu Buhari, APC presidential candidate wanna be.

Icheoku says since Ronald Reagan first term, America has had four years of his second term, four years of George Bush Sr, eight years of Bill Clinton, eight years of George Bush Jr and now six years of President Barack Obama. That is a total of thirty two long years, yet the man who ruled Nigeria then, when Ronald Reagan  of America and Margret Thatcher of Britain held sway in the world wants to rule Nigeria again? Query, what manner of a banana republic country would readily rehabilitate such a 'centurion' back into their policy chair as the wonk in chief? Please Nigerians, you can do better by doing away with this great grandfather as your president. Say no to Buhari, tell Bola Tinubu that Nigerians will not accept a Muhammadu Buhari's presidential candidacy of the APC.

WAKE ME UP WHEN JONATHAN WINS - OBASANJO?

Icheoku says "Wake me up when Jonathan wins" might have been a better caption since Baba Iyabo who now cavorts with the APC seems to have over-played his hand? With no acceptable formidable presidential candidate for the APC, who could stand national muster, yet in the offing, Baba Iyabo decided on a 'wait and see or rather sleep' strategy? Now instead of laughing, Baba dey snooze! Icheoku asks how about that Nigerians for those who lead you and this picture was taken at an important conference.

BUHARI IS TONE DEAF - OBASANJO

Icheoku once again finds himself agreeing with the man, whose thought alone causes me serious internal convulsion and  repulsion, in opposing the arrant nonsense that is Muhammadu Buhari's declared disposition towards running with a fellow Muslim, as both presidential and vice presidential candidate of the APC, in the forthcoming 2015 election. Icheoku says Muhammadu Buhari might as well run with a fellow Northerner, possibly El Zaki Zaki, as his vice presidential candidate since he does not seem to find anything wrong in so flagrantly defying certain sensibilities in Nigeria?

Icheoku says the contemplated running of a Muslim-Muslim ticket is as good as running an all Northern Nigerians ticket for crying out loud. But hopefully, voices of reason in the APC, who still mean well for a one united, multi-cultural and multi-religious Nigeria, will help Buhari to see reason on why his position is fraught with all manners of dangerous permutations and connotations. Buhari did it with Idiagbon but no one elected them; Abiola and Kingibe were both Muslims both they were neither fanatical zealots nor was the religious climate as ominous then as it is now. Icheoku says neither Muhammadu Buhari nor anyone else could pull off that same-adherents' candidacy wool over the eyes of now sensitized, primed and ever-watchful Nigerians and expect to get way with it. Icheoku says not this time and not in the life of Nigeria as is presently constituted and still existing.

Fortunately, Baba Iyabo has now added his voice to all those calling on Muhammadu Buhari to tone down his religious fanaticism and begin to understand that Nigeria is bigger than just Daura, Katsina and the entire Islamic Northeastern Sharia states. Icheoku recalls when Niger State Governor Babangida Aliyu was forced to remind Buhari that there are other parts of component Nigeria that did not vote for him in 2007; so he should stop believing that just because he won election in the core Muslim North means he was elected president of Nigeria. Anyway, now that Olusegun Obasanjo has told Muhammadu Buhari to check his religious excesses and tone deafness, Icheoku hopes that Buhari would listen and learn henceforth how to indeed by truly a centrist Nigerian and without unmitigated bias to Muslim Northeast Nigeria.

Here below find Olusegun Obasanjo's admonition to Muhammadu Buhari against any attempt to carry out his threat to run an all Islamic presidential ticket in 2015 :-

"Sensitivity is a necessary ingredient for enhancement of peace, security and stability at this point in the political discourse and arrangement for Nigeria and for encouraging confidence and trust. It will be insensitive to the point of absurdity for any leader, or any political party to be toying with Muslim-Muslim or Christian-Christian ticket at this juncture. Nigeria cannot at this stage raise the specter and fear of Islamization or Christianization. The idea of proselytization in any form is a grave danger that must not be contemplated by any serious-minded politician at this delicate  situation in Nigeria, as this time is different from any other time. Therefore, disregarding the fact that there are fears that need to be allayed at this point, will amount not only to insensitivity of the highest order but will also amount to very bad politics indeed."

TRANSFORMATION, NOT SYNONYMOUS WITH CHANGE - OYEGUN

"Let me assure you that transformation is different from change. They said they have transformed the economy but there are no jobs. They said they have transformed energy but there is no light.  They said they have transformed security but the Northeast is almost gone and they said that have transformed education but out universities are shut down." John Odigie-Oyegun, Chairman APC.

Icheoku says a very beautiful campaign liner indeed, except that the APC is backing a wrong, untamed bronco in Muhammadu Buhari. Icheoku says with such an Islamic agenda fundamentalist record as Buhari's, Buhari does not stand a winnable chance in a national referendum about who will preside over a multi tribal, multi cultural and multi religious country like Nigeria. Icheoku says Buhari also does  not stand a chance among thinking Nigerians, especially those whose "stomach infrastructure" has been fully laid. Icheoku says Buhari does not also stand a chance among those Nigerians old enough to have lived through the nightmare and survived his gulag-themed first military adventure in Nigeria's governance. Icheoku says Buhari does not stand a chance among those Nigerians who treasure their liberties and who do not want the abolition of alcohol or the chopping off of body parts because of a little infraction like stealing a chicken. So like a beautiful golden casket does not change the fact of its dead content, so also will a well thought out sloganeering not help a politically damaged Buhari.

Icheoku says the fear of imposition of Sharia in Nigeria is real and pervades the polity like an un-lifting dark-cloudy fog. Icheoku says the fear of Buhari canceling everything in the pipeline including the few working policies of the present government, like he cancelled the Jakande era Lagos Metro project, is also real. Icheoku says the fear of a vengeful Buhari going amok with vendetta against his real and imaginary enemies is also real. Icheoku says the rule number one of survival is to not help bring about the threatening ominous opportunity, hence Nigerians will avoid like Ebola, any situation that will expose them to such detrimental possibilities through a Buhari's coming to power again. With Buhari's antecedent, every Nigerian know what the deal is, so why poke danger in the eye by giving him power to destroy people he disagrees with?  So, believing that the man who owns, runs and dictates to everyone in the APC, Bola Tinubu, is fully aware of all these shortcomings of candidate Muhammadu Buhari, Icheoku  says please Bola Tinubu, DO NOT SCREW this 2015 opportunity to have a truly competitive national election in Nigeria.

Icheoku truthfully speaking, indeed believe that a good opposition candidate would give President Jonathan a run for his money as his performance in office is near mediocre;  BUT maintains that such candidate must not be or have a Buhari as his last name. Say no to Buhari, say no to taking Nigeria three decades back. Nigerians, forward ever and  backward never. Please Nigerians you don't have to vote because you like Jonathan, just vote against and in order to stop the train wreck that is a Buhari's second coming. It is only banana republics that goes so way back to find a near senile washed-out ex-leader to lead them. The last time Icheoku checked, it is not all that bad in Nigeria in terms of finding a viable effective leader to propel the country forward.

Image is still about almost everything, so why settle for a barely-literate army man for someone who has a PhD, admitted in Zoology. But do not take Icheoku's word for it, just do some googling yourself to see the prestige involved in "The president of my country has a PhD" as opposed to "The president of my country has a pfi and is a former army coup plotter who desecrated the institution of democracy in Nigeria. How about that friends for motivation. So please  Nigerians get involved today in anyway whatsoever in helping to educate those still undecidedly quivering on the fence as to why Muhammadu Buhari is a wrong candidate for the APC and a flawed choice for Nigeria. Nigeria is moving forward and going back is not and should not be an option in 2015. Say no to Buhari and please let Bola Tinubu know that Nigerians say NO to a BUHARI's second coming. Icheoku says John Oyegun, please find an acceptable candidate to market to Nigerians in 2015v with this beautiful campaign sloganeering. Icheoku likes it but without candidate Muhammadu Buhari.

DOMINIC ADESANYA, NIGERIAN WHITEHOUSE JUMPER?

Icheoku says give it up to Nigerians and the things they do? Just  when the Ebola Virus Disease fame or rather notoriety was beginning to die down, here comes a Nigerian jumping over the White House fence? Luckily he was not shot dead owing to the numerous breaches of that perimeter fence which have put the Secret Service on trigger-edge and the fact that President Obama was in residence at the time of the incident.

Dominic Adesanya, a 23 year old son of a Nigerian father, scaled the fence of the White House in his attempt to have a personal audience with President Barack Obama? Icheoku says possibly the young Adesanya thought that since the president looks like him or rather like his father, he reserved the right of an audience with the president? Except that he went about it in a wrong manner,  trespassing a restricted area, otherwise nothing in fact stops Mr Adesanya from holding court with the president provided he observed required protocols? Anyway, mental illness is to blame; a sickness which appears to be on the increase in America as this guy allegedly was hearing voices and wanted to let the president in on some of the things he felt would help the president succeed, one might add?

Dominic Adesanya, the latest addition to this now growing numbers of White House jumpers, has since been charged to court with misdemeanor trespassing of a restricted building and for injuring a Secret Service dog; and if convicted might be imprisoned for up to one year on each count. Icheoku says except this young man needs treatment and not incarceration as no sane person would, fully aware of the implications and consequences of jumping the White House fence, embark on it anyway. According to his father, Dominic's problem is in his head and Icheoku agrees he manifested someone without full control of his faculties. Icheoku says like Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the underwear bomber, Dominic Adesanya, another Nigerian, has suddenly become world famous but for the wrong reason. Icheoku says it is quite unfortunate it happened.

JONATHAN, STILL GOVERNING - EZEIFE.

"Those who said they would make Nigeria ungovernable have failed. Nigeria is still governable and Jonathan is governing it.” - Ezeife, Okwadike N'Igboukwu.

GUMI WRITES BUHARI, A DO NOT RUN LETTER.

Assalamu Alaikum
The Humble People’s General.
I know I have access to you privately but this is meant for others to learn also.
The Prophet -peace be upon him- told one of the most honest and truthful of his companions, Abu Zar Algafary: “Oh Abu Zar, I truly love for you what I love for myself. I indeed see that you are weak so never accept to lead even two people and never accept safekeeping of the orphans wealth.”
An honest and candid advice from the prophet that is still valid today for any leader whose weakness borders on leadership qualities.
The reason for Abu Zar’s weakness has nothing to do with his credibility or truthfulness. Never! The prophet was narrated as saying: “there is nobody under the shadows of trees or bare sun that is more honest in speech than Abu Zar”.
Abu Zar – May Allah be pleased with him- is ascetic and inmaterialistic. Abu Zar is incorruptible. And yet he is not suitable for leadership.
I am not claiming to be even by an atom’s weight anything close to our noble prophet, yet I am encouraged to give you these same advice by the virtue that you are not also close to Abu Zar in piety. We are living in a time of great tribulations and fitnah especially for this Ummah because of our collective iniquities, ignorance of religious instructions and the love of Dunyah.
Sir, your weakness is not in your past impeccable record of accountability of public wealth and the fight against corruption and indiscipline. Your weakness is in your inability to control men compounded further by your strict and obsessive rejection of corruption.
Don’t be surprised. You may need to understand that Islam being a pragmatic religion allows the use of Zakkat and public wealth as an instrument to pacify and lure influential people for the sake of righteousness, peace and stability. In modern governance today it translate to security vote.
Thus men are also controlled by money. So if your policy of governance is obsessibly centered on sealing tight the use of money, you will have great problem with men. An Arab poet said: “A fool cannot be the leader of his people but the true leader of the people must feign foolishness”.
It’s convenient for your ardent supporters to quote copiously from the annals of history your great achievements but when your failures and weaknesses were pointed out they say that was in the past. Is the lessons of past history only good for the positive achievements? Doesn’t that also explains our incessant failures?
Your Excellency, good intentions are never enough. In the past, because of your clean records and straightforwardness you were lured by men who want only the vanities Dunya to uproot a young democracy on the caprices of fighting corruption. Corruption is no doubt an evil but there is a more monstrous evil than corruption. That is turmoil and insecurity. Peace and stability are the most important part of governance that no price is to high for them.
The lack of peace, stability and security is the major predicament of this nation since independence. So when you were naively used by men to derail one, that is the greatest disservice you committed to the nation the ills of which we are yet to recover from.
Do you truly believe Allah is still not in cognizance of that? You were led to uproot a duly elected leader and incarcerate him for close to two years knowing fully well that he has no charge of even the corruption that was labeled against him. Yes, Shagari was the leader and therefore he bears all the responsibility of misdeeds in his government, so also you were a leader and you should bear all the responsibility of derailing the peace and stability of governance in this country as a consequence of that putsch.
Your weakness in control of men became evident when the very people that used you to revolt against a constituted authority came back to uproot you from the seat of power. Your own kinsmen. Without a gun cocked in your defence.
Today the corruption you were deceived to fight against has reached unimaginable level coupled with the worst state of insecurity and peace in the nation. There was just recently an attempt on your life like many of us.
All this because you the honest people that are given the privilege of strengthening the Armed forces left it to meddle in politics. We thus lost everything. Neither the power nor the security.
A believer is not stung from the same hole twice. Men used your innocence before to get power and dump you. Please be sensible today. Some other men still want to use you to get power and surely they will dump you again. You don’t share the same philosophy at all. Even though as I explained later, your obsession and philosophy of fighting corruption is not the priority of Nigeria today. What Nigeria needs utmost now is peace and stability? This can only be achieved when the religious ethnic and regional divide is tamed. And you can only tame it with people without much precedence. People without much following. Yet people that are constructive and have the ability to control men.
If Sardauna today is alive in your situation he will never contest for the presidential seat because of his deep understanding of what the nation needs. He will step down for a more acceptable younger person. It’s on record that Sardauna even at the age of under 60 said he was not going to contest again, preparing his only house in Rabah for retirement.
I’ll give you a similitude to buttress my point of priority. A person seriously injured and fractured from a road traffic accident when brought to the emergency room, the first priority of the doctors is to secure an intravenous line. Meaning get a drip set working into his veins to protect his vital organs like the heart and kidneys from the effects of shock and loss of blood. The fractures, even though serious and the source of the blood loss, may take days and weeks before they are even attended to beside the superficial dressings.
Nigeria now needs peace and stability first. Then we talk of good governance later even though it’s the source of the predicament we are facing.
The present government has already charged the situation and played the religious divide to its advantage. It’s in circulation now, a SW pastor calling on Christians and the church to vote Jonathan as their only Saviour. This religious card will be used to cover his deficiency in governance.
Your Excellency, you should understand too, that many, if not most of your supporters, are also looking up to you to protect them from the onslaught on their religion and region. This also the Christian will never believe the otherwise.
Therefore the stage is set for religious confrontation which is the least the nation needs.
What we need as a priority is peace and stability.
From my view, if APC can support as an example Ameachi or Okorocha/Kwankwaso or El-Rufai or Tambuwwal ticket and the PDP will have Akpabio/Muazu or Ribadu or Shekaru, the next four years will. – insha Allah – witness stability both in the north and south. And the electoral body will get the necessary infrastructure that subsequently the next election will be free and fair and the true reflection of Nigerians.
If you may ask, why can’t this same peace be achieved with you and another Christian running mate?
Gen. you have antagonist, and they are many and also as ardent as your supporters. Your supporters have the biggest proportion of the underprivileged of the society which is the petrol that can be easily ignited by the slightest spark. The spark will be when you’re declared the loser. And you know you can very well lose if the Christians follow their church -and why not in this era of mediocrity.
On the other hand if Jonathan comes back. BH will be real not the political one we see. The turmoil will engulf the whole country not only the north. That is why I also call on PDP to present some other candidates.
My brother in Islam, please listen to the words of wisdom. And don’t follow the whims of the riffraff. Before they used you the first time to disrupt the second republic, my father advised you against it. Today I am also advising you against contesting in the 2015 presidential election because you will be used to ignite the nation -a dream well orchestered several years ago- and also be used by bad people as a ladder to grab regional and local powers.
I rest my case here.
My best regards and condolence for your recent loss.
May Allah guide you and protect you from the evil men and the jinn. Amin.

LIKE EBOLA LIKE BUHARI, HELP STOP HIM TOO.

Icheoku says Operation Stop Buhari (OSB) is a task that must be done. It is already full steam and full throttle, are you game? Stopping Buhari is a patriotic duty for every concerned Nigerian, are you? Join the effort today. Buhari has blood of three innocent Nigerians on his hands and must not be rewarded with Nigeria's presidency which he denied President Shehu Shagari.  Icheoku says Nigerians must not waiver or dither until there is 'mission accomplished' on this Project Stop Buhari. Say no to Buhari, Never again Buhari, Not this time and not at any future time. Say 'Ba abuu' Buhari!

Just take a good look at this two faces Nigerians and please tell Icheoku you will be comfortable with both men running affairs of Nigeria? Please do the NEEDFUL, join the effort now to stop this marauder and prevent him from torturing Nigerians again. Say never again Buhari, say NO to Buhari. On February 14, 2015 VITE GEJ.

NIGERIA IS EBOLA-FREE, HURRAY!

Icheoku says congratulations to the government of President Jonathan Goodluck of Nigeria for successfully checkmating Patrick Sawyer and his minders's attempt to destroy the country with the dreaded Ebola Virus Disease.  Thanks to their dogged effort, Nigeria is now adjudged completely free of the disease as the World Health Organization today officially certified.  For this reason, every Nigerian, their friends and well wishers should indeed be proud that, finally, something spectacularly uplifting and heartwarming, was checked by the world to Nigeria's credit column. Who knew that Africa's most populous country could so decisively protect her citizenry and economy from Ebola, despite all the naysayers projections that it was going to be a gargantuan disaster that will completely decimate her population and economy? But look at who laughs last, President Jonathan and her over 160 million citizens and residents alike. Icheoku says well-done on a job done well Mr President.

Icheoku will also extend our gratitude to the then Health Minister Chukwu for excellently succeeding in the task that was his ministry's to tackle the Ebola Virus Disease. Icheoku also prays that all other ministries in Nigeria as well as government parastatals and agencies would so effectively tackle various problems bedeviling the country which falls within their respective ministries' primary responsibility; and this immediately calls to mind the Ministry of Power and its lack of traction in solving Nigeria's endemic power problem.

Icheoku also thanks the governments of Lagos, Rivers and Enugu States whose states were directly impacted by the Ebola Virus Disease for gallantry putting up with the challenge of wrestling Ebola to a conclusive end. Icheoku also congratulates all the first responders and health care professionals, immigration and border enforcement agencies as well as other security personnel who provided care and service and also maintained order throughout this near epicurean crisis. As the first line of defense in this successful war against Ebola, they put up a stellar performance and Nigerians owe them their gratitude. Icheoku also recognizes  the staff and management of First Foundation Consultants, whose Dr. Adadevoh sacrificed herself, diagnosing Patrick Sawyer of the disease and quarantining him immediately to avoid further infestation of the general populace.

Icheoku rejoices that today is Nigeria's day of glory as the country is recognized throughout the world as having successfully accomplished something of great note and significance. The world is not usually very favorably disposed towards Africa in general and particularly Nigeria, so for its agency WHO, to have acknowledged Nigeria as having done brilliantly well in the fight against Ebola Virus Disease, is something for Nigerians to celebrate and indeed be proud of. Nigeria is now the reference point in the fight against EVD as even the United States of America have adopted Nigeria's winning strategy as they grapple with their own Ebola invasion. Icheoku says some bubblies and high fives on this occasion would not be an unmerited gloating.  The Ebola success story goes to show what is indeed possible in the country should all its disparate people come together as one to help lift the country up. Icheoku once again says congratulations Nigeria and may the Ebola Virus Disease response become the new benchmark for problem-solving in the country. Way to go Nigeria!

BUHARI, THE N27 MILLION BORROWED?

Icheoku says Muhammadu Buhari has been deceiving Nigerians, pretending to be who he is not and falsely putting up a facade of a church rat who has nothing but the clothes on his back? Icheoku says give me a break. It is just a mere populist image he has been trying to build over the many years since he was forced out of office, leaving Nigerians little time to indeed see who this man is? But judging from the plundering of the State by his two lieutenants Babangida and Abacha, little doubt is left that were Buhari to have stayed longer, he possibly would have been as bad if not worst after all he was praised Abacha as the best leader Nigeria ever had despite the fact of Abacha's looting of the treasury to the tune of 7billion dollars?

Icheoku strongly suspects that Buhari, if he passes the crucibles  of both his party's nomination and goes on to win the presidential election, might out-loot Obasanjo in his second coming. After all Obasanjo did not steal enough during his first coming and came back and made out like bandit? So who knows what actually is driving Buhari's desperation for return to power. As the only former head of state without an imperial mansion on a hill, who knows if he wants to outdo both Babangida and Obasanjo with a Duara Hilltop mansion should he win? But Nigerians have an idea of what a Buhari's presidency would mean, having lived through his despotism before and are not ready for an encore. icheoku is emphatic that a deja vu Buhari is not in the future of Nigeria, not in 2015 and not at any further time in the life of Nigeria and Nigerians.

Icheoku asks Nigerians to  put on their thinking hat for a moment and ask themselves why all of a sudden is this man telling the whole world that he "borrowed" the twenty seven million Naira nomination form fee? If a presidential candidate does not have "ordinary" N27 million to purchase his nomination form, what in the hell is he doing running for the office that will probably gulp billions of Naira to see through? Who is going to foot the bill of the presidential campaign and would it be a quid pro quo arrangement where his sponsors will descend on the treasury to feed themselves fat? if yes, how then does he plan to prosecute his proverbial war on corruption? There are simply too many complications with this alleged "borrowing" of 27million Naira nomination form fees that does not add up and further makes the story unbelievable.

Icheoku asks why did it take Buhari four unsuccessful previous runs for the same office to now tell Nigerians that he borrows all the money he uses and is now even too broke to afford his nomination form fees? But lets just for the heck of discussion play the devil's advocate and assume that Buhari told the truth that he borrowed the 27 million Naira nomination form fee? Query, how does he plan to repay back the borrowed money and under what terms and conditions was the facility extended to him? If on lenient terms and not strictly in conformance to banking practices, is it not corruption that he used his position to an undue advantage and at the same time project the image of an incorruptible corruption crusader coming to fix all that is broken in Nigeria? If he indeed he borrowed the money, from where is he going to repay it since his salary as president, in the unforeseen nightmarish event he wins, would be far below twenty seven million Naira?

Icheoku queries from who did Buhari also "borrow" the billions his previous four attempts running for the presidency cost him? May be from his also anonymous faceless secret banker or his Islamic bank-rollers in Riyadh?  That late Moummar Ghaddafi also chipped in his previous campaigns is in the public domain too? The Americans have a saying that 'if you follow the money it will lead you to the source of either the crime or its cover up', so Icheoku calls on Nigeria security apparatchiks to try and unravel the source of Buhari's campaign funding and see if Buhari has already mortgaged Nigeria's future interest and is only bidding his time before signing over Nigeria to some foreign interests?

Further, if Muhammadu Buhari actually borrowed the 27million Naira, who co-signed it since according to him his net worth is not substantial enough to guarantee such a huge amount of loan? With what securities or assets or cd was the sum secured or collateralized? Was due process of verification of assets followed or was it just a mere walk through by reason of who he is? Was the loan smooched over simply because as an expected future president, so many juicy business deals will be possible as a result of this facility in a quid pro quo fashion?

Icheoku says until Muhammadu Buhari comes clean with this N27 million he allegedly borrowed to pay for his nomination form and gives full detailed information of the transaction to enable Nigerians determine if it was transparent, Nigerians will continue to second-guess his veracity for truth when he said he borrowed the sum in question. Icheoku says if Buhari borrowed the nomination form fee, what else is he going to borrow before he becomes the president of Nigeria, in his dreams though? What a ruse, what a deceitful, conniving and contriving Cassius this man is, that no longer finds anything questionable in Bola Tinubu's wealth and who unlike Nuhu Ribadu is yet to keep his distance from that corruption personified ABT. Icheoku says Nigerians can no longer be deceived, not by Buhari and not be his austere facade. Icheoku says enough of this holier than thou, make believe show Buhari calculatedly always puts up for effect. Say no to Buhari, say no to taking Nigeria back. Buhari belongs to the old way of doing things and Nigeria has since moved on without him.

BUHARI HAS NOTHING NEW TO OFFER - VANGUARD.

On Wednesday, October 15, 2014, former military head of state, retired Major General Muhammadu Buhari, made his much awaited declaration to run for the presidency on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, at the Eagle Square, Abuja. It was the fourth time since 2003 when he broke into the quadrennial vocation of seeking to rule Nigeria again.
As usual, the crowds were there, in large numbers, most of them from Arewa North, confirming the well-known fact that he has a cult following in the Muslim section of Northern Nigeria. Buhari has taken his place along with the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo and Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu as a great Nigerian beloved at the level of fanaticism by people of his ethno-religious section. All three ran for president of Nigeria several times but failed to make it because they could not manage to extend their charismatic appeal beyond their primordial bounds.
Buhari has contested against three Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidates. In 2003, he made his debut against an incumbent, President Olusegun Obasanjo, who was seeking re-election. In 2007, he went against Governor Umaru Yar’Adua, his fellow Katsina indigene. And in 2011, he was up against an ethnic Minority candidate, Dr Goodluck Jonathan, who was also an incumbent trying his hands for the first time in a nationwide presidential run. Already, the PDP has unanimously okayed President Jonathan for a second term. Buhari is hoping to be nominated from his APC party to square up to the president.
So, what is new from Buhari, you may ask? The APC is a much more formidable political party than all the platforms that Buhari has used in the past. It currently has 14 states under its belt, the highest the opposition has ever got. But the ruling PDP still has 21 states with Anambra, under a strong PDP ally, the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, making the 22th, with the possibility of more states joining before the next election. The veteran presidential aspirant is someone we all know, for his “good, bad and ugly” attributes.
The question: “What is new” is paramount both for Buhari and his co-contestant for the APC ticket, former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, who has also been a presidential candidate on two previous occasions. The same will not apply to newbies, Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso and (if he will run)and  Aminu Tambuwal.
Unfortunately, Buhari and his handlers did not address the issue of “what is new” during his declaration. He merely reeled off his usual coup day-like speech, accusing the president he wants to replace of “election rigging”, running down the economy, inability to fix the power situation, dividing the polity, inability to provide security and presiding over a corrupt regime.
Then, he proceeded to list, equally in an intellectually lazy manner, things he hopes to accomplish if he gets our mandate: protection of lives and property, pursuing an economic policy that would promote prosperity and employment, quality education, agricultural productivity for food security, reviving the industries, developing the solid minerals sector and restoring integrity in governance by fighting corruption.
I call it intellectually lazy because anyone can sit down and produce this speech within 30 minutes and use it to campaign in India, Pakistan, Russia, Afghanistan, Algeria, Uganda Nigeria, almost everywhere. Very little was done to analyse each of the sectors and proffer fresh ideas that will inspire uncommitted members of the APC (and Nigerians at large) to see Buhari as a better choice than the others. Perhaps, his supporters will argue that this was a mere declaration for president and the details will come later when the main show begins. That had better be so.
The APC and its candidates must be ready to tackle the PDP and its candidates with superior intellectual engagement way beyond Alhaji Lai Mohammed’s trite market woman-like name-calling propaganda. The late Chief Awolowo produced superior opposition throughout his political career by investing so much in brainpower and periodically analysing the political, social and economic situations of the country.
He made “predictions” and they came true, thus earning him the title of “sage” which his admirers still call him. Many people opposed Awo till he died, but even his most ardent political opponents respected his depth. Chief Odumegwu Ojukwu described him as “the best president Nigeria never had”. It was not a mockery. It will take a lot more than empty name-calling to bring down a sitting Nigerian president like Jonathan.
And make no mistakes about it: President Jonathan and his party, having run the country for slightly more than four years, now have unlike in 2011,figures and facts with which they will try to woo the uncommitted voter to vote for continuity rather than change. They don’t even need to engage Lai Mohammed in street verbal exchanges. The incumbency factor will be heavy on their side. For the opposition to stand any chance, it must be ready to engage the achievements and failures of the Jonathan administration TRUTHFULLY and show how they would do it better if given a chance. Obvious lies or deceptive postulations may backfire.
For instance, Buhari got it wrong when he said the economy is “going down”. This flies in the face of known facts. The economy is actually “going up”, based on figures from the Central Bank of Nigeria, the National Bureau of Statistics, the World Bank, International Monetary Fund and the various international rating agencies.
It is no longer news that Nigeria is now the largest economy in Africa and the 26th largest in the world; and that the economy is growing at a much faster and higher rate than Buhari left it in 1994, thanks to a strong team of world class technocrats powering that sector. Buhari actually ran an economy in which there were no essential goods in the shops to buy!
But it can also be argued that the dividends of economic growth are not yet being felt by the generality of Nigerians. Jonathan had better tell us how he intends to make the people feel the growth in 2015 and beyond when the campaigns begin.
A sound opposition party and candidate will tell us how they will grow the economy at even faster rate, while getting the people to feel its impact. It will not dispute the fact that the economy is growing just to demonise the sitting regime and score cheap points to deceive those who are ignorant.
Buhari knows better than to say power generation in Nigeria was 4,000 megawatts in 1999. That was a needless lie! It was less than 2,000 megawatts. In 16 years, the PDP Federal Government took it to nearly 5,000 megawatts after reportedly spending some $20 billion or so. Is that satisfactory? I say NO. But why lie when the truth will do? Is that how you will fight corruption?
Elections have gotten better under President Jonathan both at state and federal levels, and election winners have been sworn-in irrespective of their political parties. Our democracy has grown. Someone who has lost elections three times in a row may not admit that. He may justify himself by complaining of “rigging”.
Buhari needs to change tactics. He must come out of the North because North and West alone cannot give him victory. If he proceeds to 2015 with the old tactics of the three lost elections, the result should be obvious even before the election holds.

BUHARI DECLARES, BUT LEFT MUCH UNDECLARED?

"I humbly wish to present myself before you, before all of Nigeria and before God, seeking to be elected (nominated) as  APC's  presidential candidate." - Muhammadu Buhari. With those words, Muhammadu Buhari threw his hat in the ring to contest for the nomination as APC presidential candidate and by extension the right to challenge President Jonathan for Aso Rock's occupancy in 2015. Icheoku says thankfully dreamy fantasies do not often materialize into reality, as this man once again embarks on a strangely now much familiar travel, on a road that is eerily familiar and which does not and will not lead him into Aso Rock. Not this time, not any future time and not in the lifetime of Nigerians, especially those who are old enough to remember the disgusting taste of the dishes he served to them between 1983 and 1985. Icheoku joins Nigerians in vociferously rejecting this particular APC candidate Buhari, and in saying NEVER AGAIN, NEVER AGAIN this BUHARI, we know too well and know better to avoid like leprosy.

Icheoku says having formally joined the race for Aso Rock and for the umpteenth time, it is now safe to examine and reexamine his eligibility and electability for the office of Nigeria's presidency. Icheoku is towing this line of action because, judging by the number of Bola Tinubu's surrogates that attended Buhari's declaration, including his wife Oluremi, it is safe to conclude that apparently Bola Tinubu has signed off on Buhari as  APC's putative presidential candidate. This means that Abubakar Atiku has once again been effectively checkmated by Baba Iyabo, who strongly counseled Bola Tinubu against providing Atiku with APC's platform to run for president. Icheoku says the naiveté of Atiku in thinking that he would be allowed to reap where he did not sow, jumping from one party to another and to another and yet to another, has fully bubbled up to the surface. Who knows when he will be returning back to the PD, except that this time, his welcome might be rather lukewarm, if ever.

So with Muhammadu Buhari practically for all intent and purpose, settled on as the APC's presidential candidate and the guy to slug it out with  incumbent President Jonathan in the forthcoming 2015 presidential election, Icheoku will now revisit the merits and demerits of his choice over Abubakar Atiku as the APC presidential candidate. Icheoku will also go through Buhari's declaration of presidential intent against the background of readily available facts, history and antecedents of the man Muhammadu Buhari, and guided by where he has been, where he currently is and where possibly he is going to, and analyze same in tandem.

Icheoku says if they could, those sponsors, propagandists and praise singers of Muhammadu Buhari's preeminence stature and "over-qualification" for the presidency of Nigeria, would rather millions of Nigerians that lived under General Buhari's jackboot junta were all brain dead or have amnesia not to remember the horrors of that inglorious regime? Also this group of Buhari's apologists would, if horses are dreams, wish that Buhari's past is magically all-wiped away; and the despotic dictator is washed anew? Also that their "reinvented" Muhammadu Buhari is  now a "born-again" human being with real blood flowing in his veins and that this version of Buhari is no longer  the tin-headed, two-horn monster, whose arteries are filled with sulphuric acid and who hated Nigerians so much that he chastised them with scorpions.

But unfortunately for these town-criers, voluminous records abound which attest, loudly and clearly, that this Daura monster, who saw Nigerians as slaves that needed a slave master, is not good for Nigeria.  It is Professor Wole Soyinka who once said that "history matters; records are not kept simply to assist the weakness of memory, but to operate as guides to the future." Icheoku maintains that the erudite professor provides Nigerians with a very  important beacon to guide them as they contemplate and gravitate towards a possibly Buhari's presidency in 2015? The professor wants Nigerians not to become victims of a deceitful campaign jingoes or become beguiled by the repackaging of a devil in the cloak of an Angel Michael? A Buhari is a Buhari and will always remain a Buhari, period.

Icheoku says the Buhari then still remains the Buhari now and teaching an old dog new manners is often a task in futility. It is also on record that Buhari unlike genocidal 'Jackal' Gowon, since being ousted from office thirty something odd years ago, has not gone back to school to acquire a formal education or at least augment whatever little "the dangerously bad Western education" he may previously possess? It is also on record that Buhari has not traveled extensively around the world in order to assimilate edifying values and also expand his world views? It is also on records that Buhari has not done anything with his time out of office, except for the shoddy job he did at PTF which forced Baba Iyabo to shut it down.

It is also on record that Buhari did not in anyway put his services to use for Nigerians' benefit, not even through an NGO, in order to properly acquaint himself with public and human relationships' best practices? Icheoku says it is therefore far fetched and deceitful, for anyone, including these APC honchos, to try and suggest to Nigerians that a man who turned into a hermit, became a religious zealot, morphed into an ardent and fervent fundamentalist and who forced an enslaving life in Purdah on his wife, somehow, simultaneously, reinvented himself and would now lead Nigerians with some modicum of decency? Icheoku is not buying their tale by moonlight nor agrees that this Buhari of 2014 is any less the old melancholic Buhari of yore - the draconian dictator of 1983 to 1985.

Icheoku says to Buhari that overthrowing a duly elected democratic government of President Shehu Shagari is a worst form of injustice than any election rigging. Also if anyone ever held Nigerians in a stranglehold, it was the Buhari/Idiagbon military junta, between 1983 to 1985, but certainly not the PDP as people are somewhat free to say what they think including the opposition party. Lastly, Icheoku does not believe a hair of Buhari's assertion that his government would respect "constitutional separation of powers as well as rights of citizens" except his records as a military dictator no longer matters and is completely discarded:-

Decree 4 the muzzle decree, prohibition of drinking before 5pm in predominantly Christian Southern Nigeria in the name of WAI; disregarding Oputa Panel's invitation to appear before it; murdering three innocent Nigerians for an offense which was not a death-penalty offense just to bare his bloody fangs; locked away Southern Christian politicians in Kirikiri without due process while their Northern Islamic counterparts enjoyed convenient house arrests; etc. Icheoku was expecting Buhari, during his declaration, to acknowledge these shortcomings of his first adventure and duly apologize for them, but he didn't. Instead he failed and stubbornly refused to atone for his past and thereby further throwing sand in the eyes of conscionable Nigerians.

Icheoku says one of the funniest and craziest commendation heard during the said Buhari's declaration came from Audu Ogbe, Communication Minister during Shagari government, who said "Buhari's interest inn the presidency is to come and stabilize the polity and then STEP ASIDE?" Icheoku coils in shame at this parody of Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida and his shameful "stepping aside" episode, after the wicked June 12 annulment. Now Audu Ogbe, a victim of Buhari's highhandedness, is reminding Nigerians some of these haranguing and harrowing experiences that are better confined in the darkest corner of Nigerians forgotten history? Then, came Timipre Silva, who said Buhari is coming to properly intervene in Nigeria's economy but failed to tell Nigerians when and where Buhari obtained his 'PhD in Economics or his corporate managerial skills?'

Icheoku says Buhari has nothing palliative or new to offer to Nigerians or to help solve the myriad of problems facing the country. Instead he is the trigger of it all when he overthrew a duly elected democratic government of President Shehu Shagari, leading to the advent of Ibrahim Babangida and Sani Abacha's maddening institutionalization of corruption, which eventually cascaded to the cesspool presently hounding Nigeria. Icheoku maintains that but for Buhari's military coup, democracy would have since taken very deep root in Nigeria, with most of the current incidental problems already fixed by now. Further if Buhari's very advanced age of 75 years is not a militating factor against his ambition, does it mean that gerontologists are mistaken when they propound that certain risks are largely age related, including dementia, arthritis of the extremities, leaking and forgetfulness? Icheoku says if Senator Mamora is right, then Nigerians should expect to be governed by a Council of Elders in a Buhari's government regardless of their elderly infirmities?

And in a world where most world leaders are now barely the half age of Buhari, Icheoku wonders the inconvenience of bilateral relationships between a Buhari and these other leaders? Icheoku asks does anyone know if Buhari knows how to even surf the Internet? Also George Akume extolled Buhari's time as Petroleum Minister but tactically forgot that the issue of the $2.7billion missing oils money during Buhari's said tenure has not been conclusively resolved till date? An APC women leader Hajia Rabiu Ishaq urged fellow women to support Buhari as a leader who can liberate Nigerian women, but failed to mention that Buhari's own wife, a woman and potential future Nigeria's First Lady, is not herself free, but is forced to live a pining-away life in Purdah? Icheoku asks Hajia, who would be Nigeria's First lady or is she auditing for the job to act in the stead of the Purdah(ed) Buhari's wife?

Icheoku bemoans that the owner and the CEO of APC PLC Bola Tinubu is going to blow this golden opportunity at his party's best shot at the presidency with this Buhari misfit. Buhari is not sellable nor acceptable to Nigerians and irrespective of who he chooses as vice presidential candidate, he will not be elected president of Nigeria. If he chooses Rotimi Amaechi, the Southsouth will not trade their number one presidency for a mere number two vice presidency position? If he chooses Fashola, Ngerians will not accept two Muslim candidates, neither would Igbo Southeast accept two affirmed Igbo haters at Aso Rock? If he drops his erstwhile running mate Pastor Bakare, he would be making a statement that Bakare was not good enough and made him lose the previous election, thus creating bad blood between they supporters? If he chooses Rochas, Rochas is a lightweight and will not deliver any Igbo State?

So generally asking, why would Northern Nigerian Christians, especially those in the Middle Belt, now choose a Muslim over their already existing Christian president or  put in another way, who prefers the shackles of slavery which a Buhari presidency portends to the boundless freedom relatively being now enjoyed under the Jonathan's presidency? Lastly, Icheoku says Nigerians are fed up with these military men, especially after the garrison government ran by the other military man Obasanjo and wouldn't stand for such hallowing experience again. Icheoku says Muhammadu Buhari is a wrong choice and if Bola Tinubu does not listen to Nigerians and foist him, the APC would woefully lose the coming election. Icheoku says APC must say no to Buhari, they should reject his candidacy if they stand any chance in 2015.

OBASANJO'S SARCASM - ADE ADELEYE

obj

"With sarcastic glee, former President Olusegun Obasanjo told supplicating PDP leaders pressuring him to return to the party that he never left the party in the first instance. He, however, admitted to being passive. He put down his passivity  to what he grandiloquently described as his “principle, morality, honour, integrity, commitment and character which are paramount.” He could have fooled us. Given his failed third term project, the Transcorp shares deal, his cruel mistreatment of political opponents, etc, there is nothing about his person or ideas that exemplifies any of the virtues he undeservingly arrogates to himself." - Adekunle Ade-Adeleye. (Culled from Nation Newspaper, October 18, 2014)
Icheoku agrees and adds that the same Southwest PDP coordinator he is now attacking and accusing of all manner of things equally once worked for him, as a sitting president, in his unrelenting war of attrition with then Ogun State Governor Gbenga Daniels. Then, Olusegun Obasanjo never knew or did not know or deliberately chose to forget that the man he is now accusing of being Nigeria's 'Pablo Escobar' and waging war against, was then so suspected? Also Obasanjo in his hypocritical style of selective self absolution, has not told Nigerians how he went from having zero money before he became president to now being a billionaire? But hey, it is Nigerians and their usual mental inertia that allows such despicable vermin as Baba Iyabo to still remain relevant in the affairs of the land after all they did. Icheoku says what a jerk this Ota deity is, that won't just fade away into irrelevancy just because of their being too self absorbed in their illusionary importance, like without them, Nigeria will evaporate?

NIGERIANS ARE BONE HEADS - WOLE SOYINKA.

"To deprive a people of volition in their own political direction is to turn a nation into a colony of slaves. Buhari enslaved the nation. He gloated and gloried in a master-slave relation to the millions of its inhabitants. It is astonishing to find that the same former slaves, now free of their chains, should clamour to be ruled by one who not only turned their nation into a slave plantation, but forbade them any discussion of their condition." - Professor Wole Soyinka.

Icheoku agrees that there is something certainly, patently and endemically wrong with Nigerians in the manner they react to most things in their lives? Icheoku emphasizes that the very fact that this murderer, Muhammadu Buhari, is getting any serious attention whatsoever to preside over Nigerians again, defies every sensibility and logic. That this adoration is coming, especially from those Nigerians old enough to have lived through the experiences that was his infra-dig happenstance upon the Nigerian stage, makes the matter more hair-raising and utter sordid. A situation made worse because he went up against the same democracy that he is now trying to profit from; and some of these marabout-politicians now clamoring for him were at the receiving end of his melancholic and choleric despotism.

Icheoku says so it is not without reason that some school of thought heavily weigh towards agreeing that the neurons in many a Nigerian brain is out of sync and firing wrongly? Icheoku says it is as perfidious as it is self-lynching for Nigerians to be holding this very same Muhammadu Buhari in such a high pedestal, despite the not too long ago history of his callousness and inhumanity to Nigerians. Indeed it is regrettable and smacks of a people with little regards for their self worth and self esteem; and who could in the situation equally pass for a bunch of sadistic vermins. Icheoku queries, Buhari of all persons?
