ICHEOKU says one of the mistakes President Donald John Trump made following his 2017 inauguration was not forcing out the leadership of the party in the Congress. He would have removed both Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan and replaced them with his own trusted people. But he allowed them to stay on in the interest of party unity and both men have proven their true colors. Ryan, was in not allowing any of the president's agenda to come to fruition and now McConnell, for driving in the final Brutus stab, accusing the president of provoking the Capitol melee.
Who did Mitch McConnell blame for provoking the attack on him and his wife when they were went out for dinner in Lexington in 2018? Was it Congresswoman Maxine Watters who had urged Democrats's foot soldiers to confront any Trump's supporter wherever they see them? Who did Mitch McConnell blame as provoking the attack on then White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders when she was refused dinner at a Virginia restaurant? Was it Hillary Clinton and her band of Russian Collusion propagandists for their false allegation that the president colluded with Putin to steal the election? Who did Mitch McConnell blame for provoking the mayhem that descended on American cities last summer? Was it Nancy Pelosi and Charles Schumer for their acerbic rhetorics, with the former referring to the president as an impostor and the later threatening Justice Gorsuch and Justice Kavanaugh.
But no, it is attacking the president that is his specialty and priority as he blames him for "provoking" a mob action without any evidence in support. Meanwhile his reelection was facilitated by the president and many of those people he now refers to as mob and he gladly welcomed their support when it mattered to him most. Now he readily threw them under the bus just to curry favor as they are refiling the Washington DC swamp which was being drained until now. It is sad that the leadership of the Republican Party does not give a damn or care a hoot about their base and to so disparage the president in this manner, publicly accusing him of provoking the Capitol melee without any evidence, is the lowest of the low any leader of the Republican Party could go. Why are these people so unthinking believing that their credentials as Washington DC swamp dwellers is better than loyalty to their party base. It is sad.
