ICHEOKU says he said that job loses are mounting, yet he canceled two major contracts that provided jobs for more than 20,000 American workers. Keystone XL pipeline and the Southern border wall projects gainfully employed thousands of American workers until a thoughtless executive order laid their jobs to waste, sending thousands of Americans into an otherwise avoidable unemployment market. Also raising the minimum wage to $15 during this dire economic problem in the country will force many employers to shave off thousands of employees as simply unaffordable and too expensive cost of doing business.
ICHEOKU says the new administration is turning out to be jobs-killing virus instead of jobs-creating worker bee trying to create jobs for the over 15 million unemployed American workers who lost their jobs due to the Coronavirus pandemic. If they cannot make the job situation better why make it worse, adding to the unemployment pool by destroying already existing jobs. It is not a good policy direction for the country, especially not at this time of great peril in the land. Why rush to cancel these projects now? If these are signs of things to come, then like Houston, America, we have some problem. It is sad.
