NAACP JULIAN BOND, DEAD AT 75.

Icheoku says the former NAACP chairman and civil rights activist extraordinaire, who prominently featured in the civil rights movement era, marching with Dr Martin Luther King alongside many others, has passed on. Julian Bond was 75 years old and died of brief illness. Icheoku wonders when Mr Brief Illness left the shores of Nigeria and traveled all the way to a land so distant, to America, to kill someone? Icheoku says may his restive and restless civil-rights equality for all soul now get some well deserved rest IJN.

Hopefully he will meet up with MLK as well as many other similarly departed freedom loving heroes and heroines of America who were involved in the struggle for and made civil rights possible for black Americans. May be together, they can strategize and petition the Almighty One to directly intervene in the affairs of America towards conclusively improving race relations therein. Icheoku says adieu brave and courageous one and may the good Lord richly reward your effort while your sojourn here lasted. Many came and left without leaving any footprint on the sands of time; but Julian Bond walked the land a giant. RIP Bond.
