Icheoku says still looking for a reason to reject Bola Tinubu's controlled Muhammadu Buhari's bid for Nigeria's presidency, look no further. Unless you are part of the cabal that wants to maintain its stranglehold on the estate called Nigeria and in perpetuity, you are duty-bound to push for the full implementation of the National Conference Report. Unfortunately, Bola Tinubu's controlled APC has not shifted grounds on its opposition to the conference and they are now even saying that the successful holding of the conference notwithstanding, they will still not implement its report, if elected. Icheoku says it is for you Nigerians, to decide if Nigeria must remain the way it has been all these decades; of it being milked by a very few feudalistic cabal while the majority suffer in crass subordination and deprivation. Icheoku says it should not remain so and it is for you, using your votes, to say no to these quota-assisted group of very few select Nigerians, who are continuously lording it over others.
The National Conference was primarily set up to address some of these obvious inequalities and inequities which are deeply entrenched and institutionalized in Nigeria, foist by a few cabal with the sole aim of holding the rest of other Nigerians captive in their created large slave camp. But these very few powerful people fought back and in vain tried to derail the conference but Nigerians pushed back and went forward to embrace the conference and conclusively held it. But because power does not easily yield, they are now ganging up in solidarity behind the APC to see that the report of the conference will never be implemented. The same people who have been holding Nigeria back for so long a time are now more than ever determined to continue in this their trajectory; but only if Nigerians will let them. The implementation of the conference report is the key and every rational Nigerian must stand to oppose them by not allow them to have their way by rubbishing the effort that went into reaching this conference report.
Icheoku says very eminent personalities from all walks of life attended the conference, deliberated extensively and then arrived at certain implementable decisions which will help move Nigeria forward. So anyone trying to sabotage this effort by threatening not to implement the report cannot be said to have the interest of Nigeria at heart and therefore must be rejected. It is of general knowledge that the man who owns and operates APC, Ahmed Bola Tinubu and his minion-APC governors, did not even want the conference to hold and somewhat boycotted the conference. So it naturally follows that the same anti-conference personalities as populate the APC, cannot now be seen to suddenly turn friendly towards implementing the far-reaching decisions of the same conference which they tried so hard to frustrate and sabotage. It does not make sense and it is illogical that the APC would implement the report which they wanted to abort its conception and therefore must not be allowed to kill it by electing them.

Luckily, any previous second guessing of the APC over its stand regarding the National Conference report implementation has now ended. The Director of Publicity of Muhammadu Buhari Presidential Campaign Organization, Garba Shehu, confirmed and unequivocally, that his party is opposed to everything and anything, the National Conference. The director reiterated that his party, the APC is strongly opposed to anything National Conference, including its implementation and will kill it if elected. According to Garba Shehu, the report of the National Conference is unimplementable; hence the APC would not even bother trying! Mallam Shehu even went further by disparaging the effort of those eminent Nigerians who spent time and resources clobbering the report together as a charade, dubious, circus-show, sinister and indeed unimplementable? Icheoku says if the report is unimplementable to the APC, it is certainly not so for the PDP; which midwifed it and would gladly see to it that the goodies of it are fully implemented to the letters and to the general benefit of majority of Nigerians.
Nigerians should know that there is no way the APC which wanted the conference aborted and which went as far as boycotting same, would ever implement its report. Therefore any Nigerian who desires to see the CONFAB report implemented, in order to right the wrongs of the past and make better the path of Nigeria's present off-course direction, must do the needful; by electing the man whose baby the conference is and who would gladly nurture it by fully implementing its report, there will be a guaranteed outcome. One thing Icheoku is certain about is that the implementation of the National Conference Report is on the ballot in this election. The National Conference and decisions therein reached are very important to the continued existence of Nigeria as one entity; hence its implementation is held so very dear to the hearts of millions of descent, peace-loving and real progressive Nigerians, who desire to see a better Nigeria come to fruition. Therefore it is not a "cheap blackmail" as the APC's Lai Mohammed would like to beguile some gullible Nigerians, to desire or crave or clamor for the full implementation of the National Conference Report.
Icheoku is emphatic that so many Nigerians, including Yoruba Southwest Nigerians, are deeply troubled by the position and stand taken by the APC not to implement the report of the National Conference and would vote against the APC's position by voting PDP to authorize the implementation of the report. Millions of Nigerians who want to see a reorganized and repositioned Nigeria that works for everyone and not just a few cabal, see the National Conference as a ticket to achieving this. Therefore any political party, including the APC, that is standing on the way of implementing the report will be swept away by the denudation that is Nigerians forthcoming overwhelming vote to have the report implemented. Or which sane Nigerian does not want to see a more functional Nigeria that works for everyone? Icheoku says since it is now obvious and beyond every shadow of doubt that the APC is against the National Conference and will not implement its report, it makes better sense that Nigerians vote for the party that will implement the report - the PDP. So on MARCH 28, VOTE to have the National Conference Report implemented, VOTE GEJ.

Atiku’s South West followers endorse Jonathan for Presidential poll
ReplyDeleteMARCH 17, 2015
The candidacy of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential flag bearer in the March 28 election, President Goodluck Jonathan on Monday received a big boost as he was endorsed by the South West political family of the late Gen. Shehu Musa Yar’adua and the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential aspirant, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar operating under the aegis of Atiku Abubakar Associates (AAA) and Peoples Democratic Movement (PDM) Collectives.
The groups, while declaring their support for President Jonathan said they were motivated to endorse the candidature of the PDP flag bearer because of his commitment to the implementation of the 2014 National Conference report.
Speaking on behalf of the South West AAA/PDM Collectives, a leader of the group in the region and former Member of House of Representatives, Bode Ajewole at a media briefing in Akure organised for the same purpose said the outcome of the APC’s presidential primary election left much to be desired, adding that members of the Collectives in the South West region had deliberated on the ongoing debate concerning the restructuring of Nigeria to have true federalism, which they said the Yoruba people had long been agitating for and had reached the conclusion “that we should align with the yearnings of the Yoruba people.”
The Collectives mentioned further that “the Yoruba people are in support of the recommendation of the Confab held last year, most of which President Jonathan has vowed to implement immediately after his re-election,” hence, the Monday endorsement.
The Collectives said “believing in the ultimate fulfillment of Jonathan’s promises to us in the South West, we therefore direct all members of AAA/PDM Collectives and all members of the Yar’Adua political family in the South West, including those in APC, SDP, PDM, Labour Party and Accord to support and vote for President Goodluck Jonathan.”
Reacting to the development, Ondo State Governor and South West Coordinator, Goodluck Jonathan Presidential Campaign, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, while thanking the Collectives on behalf of the president, also commended their decision to throw their weight behind the PDP candidate , insisting that after March 28 they would celebrate together as President Jonathan would win not only in the South West but get the highest vote.
