ICHEOKU SAYS NO TO POSTPONEMENT, ELECTION 2015 MUST GO ON.

Icheoku says 'NEPA or no NEPA, Aduke must go on; and so the scheduled election must go on as planned. There is never a time when all registered voters ever votes in an election, so with whatever voters INEC has, they should proceed with letting Nigerians decide who leads them going forward post February 14, 2015. Alternatively, just like Abubakar Atiku suggested, INEC could revert to the good old ballot paper system or better still, allow non PVC holders the opportunity to paper-vote while PVC vote accordingly.

Icheoku does not ascribe to the postponement of the election whether on grounds of unavailability of PVC to some registered voters or any other ground whatsoever. Luckily, INEC has risen to the occasion by assuring that those who are yet to receive their personal voters cards would so receive before the election; and this is a good confidence-boosting news. According to a release by INEC,  the chairman said “We have assured that the issue of concern, namely distribution of PVCs, will be addressed before elections; and the cards will be made for all registered voters. As evidenced in our preparations, we are ready to hold elections in February.”

Icheoku says now that Nigerians have once again heard from the man charged with conducting the election, Atahiru Jega, on his commission's preparedness to holding the election as scheduled, they should therefore ignore the earlier fears expressed by the National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, suggesting a postponement.  Icheoku says the assurance from Jega is highly commendable and with that, Nigerians must now continue to prepare to vote as scheduled come February 14, 2015. And please remember that Muhammadu Buhari is not the alternative Nigerians desire nor deserve and/or are looking for; so vote Jonathan Goodluck for stability, fairness and to enable his South-south Niger Delta region complete their own two terms at the presidency. I am Icheoku and I approve this message. So on February 14, go VOTE and please VOTE GEJ.
