Icheoku says if indeed those hollering Jonathanists are serious that a scandal was triggered, implicated or in any other way brewing by the lack of certificate tender by the APC presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, why has none of them deemed it fit and proper yet to move the court to so find and thereby disqualify the candidate? Icheoku has discreetly contacted a person supposedly connected to the seat of power in Aso Rock about this joker; but thus far, it has remained mere verbal protestation when there is a legal way of conclusively resolving or ascertaining that which is disputed.
To date no one in Project Jonathan 2015 camp has proactively engaged the process to compel Muhammadu Buhari to show cause why he should not be disqualified for failure to produce his requisite qualifying certificate. Icheoku wonders why they have not taken this step since he who alleges has the onus of proving the alleged and by going to court thee would have the matter resolved. Therefore baring the candidate himself coming forward to establish his qualification as required by producing his necessary certificate, the only other way productive is through a motion to compel or prayer to disqualify him because of his failure to produce and thereby authenticate that he is duly qualified as required to contest the presidential election. This is he only way and only true route to once and for all rest the Buhari certificate-gate debacle and move on with the politics of 2015 election.
Even the chairman of INEC Attahiru Jega pointed the Jonathan people to this direction but till date, they have not deemed it necessary to pursue the course; but instead they have resorted to somewhat blackmail, to try and make the man from Daura throw in the towel and scamper out of the contest. But regrettably, they forgot that they are dealing with an army man who is not used to being easily intimidated and barring a proper finding of the court on his ineligibility by reason of lack of certification, will not back down nor recuse himself from the coming election, regardless. Although as recent as few days ago, one Professor Dupe Olatubosun has turned up to say he will move the court for a pronouncement on this; but Icheoku does not know his nexus to the election or party of the president to successfully assert a standing in order to bring the case. But at least it is a good move and a show of the way and only way forward with this issue.
Hopefully the professor will move the court soon enough before the other party will plead undue advantage it will confer on their opponent and hardship of finding a credible replacement candidate within such a short period before the election. In conclusion, Icheoku says until the party with interest successfully moves the court to so find that Buhari is not qualified to run for the presidential election because of his certificate snafu; and/or at least "make that move right now baby" (thanks to Shalamar), Icheoku and other well meaning observers will simply regard their current busybody hullabaloo as mere hot-air. Icheoku admonishes all the Jonathanists, if they have a strong case against Muhammadu Buhari's qualification or lack thereof, to go to court and establish same. I am Icheoku and I stand by this comment 110%.
