Icheoku is not buying it, the tale that the very insurgent who pulled the trigger that brought down our Chinook helicopter and with it our 30 plus special forces team has been killed? Icheoku wants to rather believe that the story line is more of a confidence booster than reality as there is no way the military could conclusively know which insurgent fired the darn rocket propelled grenade that did the damage; afterall several of them could have been just firing away and one of them got lucky?
Anyway the real issue raised by this tragedy of our fighters going down in Afghanistan is the wisdom and judgment in packing 30 plus service men in one helicopter, knowing the risk involved should the unexpected as just happened occur? So instead of the military trying to sell us a fable of nailing "the particular insurgent that pulled the trigger", they should explain why they decided to pack that number of our special forces inside just one helicopter. Icheoku has no beef that these type of operations have been ran several thousand times and successfully in the past; but why that many service men in just one helicopter? That is the issue at stake here and not whether such has been successfully done in the past or that the very insurgent who pulled the trigger was killed?
