Just wondering why the foot-dragging by NATO in providing a cover for the civilian population in Syria, who are being massacred by their own government. Have enough of the civilian population not yet been massacred already to warrant such an intervention of NATO as is being witnessed in Libya? Icheoku asks, what is then preventing NATO from also acting to protect civilian population of Syria from continuously being murdered by the Assad regime or is Gaddafi's case somewhat personal and special? Icheoku says if NATO cannot extend similar protection to the Syrians, then they have lost their moral argument for being in Libya as there is no is no more justification for the ongoing bombing-runs over Libya; or are the Libyans more human than those Syrians. If NATO is waiting for Syrian protesters to graduate into armed rebels before intervening or for their population to be drastically reduced by the Assad's military machine, then the wait can go on forever, otherwise let them intervene now to save lives and protect properties. Icheoku therefore call on President Sarkozy of France and NATO to extend their Libyan intervention to Syria and equally protect Syrian civilian population as well.
