BUHARI BOTCHED A REAL SHOT AT THE PRESIDENCY, DID NOT SERIOUSLY WOO THE ACN?

Icheoku says on hindsight, Imam CPC Muhammdu Buhari must be regretting now why he did not bend over backwards to accommodate Bola Tinubu and the ACN and at whatever cost. Looking at the geographical spread of the just concluded Nigeria presidential election, it showed that Buhari and Jonathan were nearly evenly divided, with each winning their primary areas of catchment geopolitical areas. Icheoku says what a difference the Yoruba southwest votes finally made breaking for President Jonathan as opposed to Muhammadu Buhari whose stubbornness prevented an alliance with the Yoruba regional party, ACN.

So peradventure, Buhari would have been the president-elect and designate in the waiting had he co-opted Bola Tinubu and even made him his vice presidential running mate if that was what it will take. As it has been shown, the fake Pastor Tunde Bakare had no political utility to Buhari's campaign as he could not muster a win even in his Opebi constituency of Lagos State Nigeria; so Icheoku wonders why his selection? A Bola Tinubu vice presidential candidacy would have made all the difference, a whole lotta difference to the outcome of the last presidential election as Buhari would have handily won with that key Yoruba Southwest ACN votes. But hey, we all are good at Monday night quarter-backing! Thankfully, the goodluck-God shadowing every step of President Goodluck Jonathan hardened Buhari's heart and there was no alliance!
