“If you are involved in any shady deal; if you are found anywhere elections are rigged; and partake in any form of manipulation, it means you have not learnt anything from your experience. Real power belongs to God. It does not belong to PDP. It does not belong to any president. As from today, you are expected to represent Christ. You are an ambassador of Christ. Never again will the name of God be soiled through you. Shun thuggery. Shun violence. Shun greed. Shun rigging and whatever that can cause trouble.” - Pastor Venantus Tayo Aduloju admonishing the freed ex-convict Bode George, during a thanksgiving service held in his honor to mark his completion of prison term. Icheoku says a word is enough for the wise; but with the keeping of the company of people like Olusegun Obasanjo, Bode George can at best hope to return to prison as it is simply too late now to teach that old dog some new tricks. Moreso, he is a politician; and politicians are not consistent people but are always shifting their position like quicksand provided there is something in it for them? Simply stated, Bode George will overdo and outdo himself on these vices, prison or no prison experience and pastor or no pastor admonition. He is a Nigerian politician, period!
