John Murtha, democrat and representative from Pennsylvania has died following complications from gallbladder surgery. He was 77 years old and was the first Vietnam veteran to serve in the United States Congress. He was implicated in the 'Abscam Corruption Probe' but was never charged. He once said of the Iraqi war, "The war in Iraq is not going as advertised. It is a flawed policy wrapped in illusion!"
John Murtha was survived by his wife of nearly 55 years, Joyce and their three children. Icheoku says, may his soul rest in peace! What a loss to the Democrats and the Obama agenda!
