Even the 23-year-old from Conway, Arkansas was surprised himself that he won; and after recovering from the initial shock, in his own words, said "I'm sorry, I don't even know what to feel right now. This is crazy." 
Allen's smooth vocals and boy-next-door image probably gave him the edge, after nearly 100 million viewer votes were cast, choosing him over the rocker Adam Lambert; a hitherto fans-favorite? Icheoku congratulates the Arkansas native on his victory and wish him a successful career run.
