ICHEOKU says it is now "alea iacta est" in Igboland Southeast as Caesar had to cross the rubicon to put down the gauntlet. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu have bravely and courageously thrown the marker against the Fulani hegemony in Nigeria which stultified Nigeria's developmental growth, and mired it down in near complete paralyses and we need to thank him for it. That any Nigerian or Biafra or nwa-afor Igbo has refused to see where the Ohamadike 1 of Igboland is coming from, denying himself all the privileges of this life for so many years, pursuant to a cause bigger than him and selflessly taking punishments because of his conviction in the rightness of his cause, is simply beyond belief.
You might not like him; you might not admire his methodology, but you cannot deny the fact that that guy is brave and courageous in resolutely damning the Nigeria establishment. Every time people talk about how things are not working in Nigeria and how Nigeria has been stunted since independence, they fearfully refuse to address its root cause. They usually pronounce all the diseases afflicting the country but nobody seriously dared prescribe the medicine that will cure it until the advent of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu on the stage. He articulated the solution correctly and he is doing something about it to have it fully implemented as two strange bedfellows do not peacefully enjoy night's sleep on the same bed.
Nigeria's composition is the problem with Nigeria as a moving train goes in one direction. Europeans were fighting various internecine wars amongst themselves until they became civilized enough to know that the answer lies in the complete balkanization of Europe such that even very tiny Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Vatican, Monaco just to name a few are independent sovereign countries. Many of these European countries are so tiny that even only the five core Igbo States population is far more than some ten European countries combined. So why does those Europeans reserve the right to separate themselves into workable political arrangements but do not see the same virtue in Africa doing the same separatism.
This is where Africans and Nigerians must wake up and understand that the festering situation is as was intended, conceived and orchestrated by Europeans and Americans because they cannot afford to see an Africa that is finally awake to its responsibilities. Therefore waiting for these people to intervene and willfully separate Africans into various functioning nation States will be a wait in vain and forever. Africans and Nigerians must therefore take the bull by its horns and do the needful by themselves if they really want to aspire to greater heights. This is what Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's shared vision is all about, let every person go their own ways and develop at their own pace; enough of the sending a dog and a tortoise on the same time sensitive errand.
While Europe have solved their own problem and is fully liberated, with every identified and identifiable nationalists forged into their own separate independent political estates, Africans have been left in the darkness of colonial gerrymandering, forged with the single purpose of keeping Africans fighting against each other and being so distracted, cannot do right for themselves or build their own various nation states. We all need to support Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in our own various little ways and in making required sacrifices too, including understanding that pain comes before gain; and that people are dying for the cause. The least those not in the field of confrontation can do is to show those waging the battle and paying the supreme sacrifice that they understand and appreciate.
Therefore in solidarity with the cause, we must show to the world, especially Europe, Britain, America and other powers that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is not a Lone Ranger nor a rabid dog baying at Nigerians, and that his cause is shared by the majority of the people. His current ordeal's triggered sit at home resistance protest is a test case for Biafra solidarity and it should be carried to the letters, regardless of whatever associated hardship. The watching world must be told in unmissable and categorical terms that IPOB leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu speaks for the majority of Biafran people in his demand for a Biafran homeland. The world is watching to see how deeply rooted the agitation for Biafra nation really is and they are beginning to feel it.
We must not give the detractors a reason to celebrate, because if botched, it will completely collapse and cripple any future talk about Biafra. They will say that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has lost his following and that his wish is no longer in tandem with Biafrans, particularly Ndi Igbo of Southeast. By Ndi Anambra holding the election of November 6th instead of carrying through with the coming sit at home protest for MNK's release, the Nigeria government will have a bragging right that they are now more influential than MNK in Southeast Igboland and that the people have abandoned him. Such will be a huge humble pie of shame, too bitter for any bona fide Nwafor Igbo to eat. Asari Dokubo must also not be allowed to beat his chest in triumph.
It might be difficult because of attendant hardship but Igbos are survivors and not strangers to hardships. We have seen 9 and 10 will not make any much difference. If President Muhammadu Buhari could shut down the NIgeria's land borders for more than 12 months and also forced Nigerians into over two months complete lockdown because of the coronavirus, what amount of starvation will 5 days sit at home levy on Ndigbo. A people who survived Obafemi Awolowo's engineered 3 years of demonic complete economic blockade and its triggered kwashiorkor can survive just anything. We can do this umu-afor and it is very important we do it in order to press home the cause for which so many have been slaughtered by Fulani herdsmen and many more murdered by their State security agents.
A one week shutdown of AlaIgbo to press home the demand to release the Biafra hero is not too much to ask for. He has spent more than four months in detention already on behalf of Biafra, so what is one week of hardship compared to what he has sacrificed so far on behalf of the cause. Ndigbo must remain resolutely strong and remember that the closest hour to dawn is always the darkest. The horizon has come into view and only little perseverance is all that it will take to get to the promised land. "Ntasi obi ka anyinya ji ari ugwu." Lets show Nigerians and the world that Ndigbo means business and that Biafra is our only way to realize our full potentials and attain real greatness. Those politicians clamoring for election are just conducting their business of profiteering in politics and should be ignored. If Buhari likes, let him appoint an administrator for Anambra State afterall genocidal Yakubu Gowon did a similar thing with Ukpabi Asikia, but where is his generation today?
We can do this; and like Julius Caesar, lets damn it and bravely cross the rubicon. People have sacrificed more to realize their dreams and a worst Biafra will always be better than the best Nigeria, especially for Ndigbo; and other willing partners from the former Eastern region. Lets support Mazi Nnamdi Kanu finish what Ikemba Odimegwu Ojukwu started. A lean freedom is better than a fat slavery and since Ndigbo live everywhere just like the Chinese, those residents in Nigeria after separation can always maintain their abode as either naturalized Nigerians or permanent residents. There are Igbo traders in India, so there will be Igbo traders in Nigeria. There are Igbos who own properties in London, so Ndi Igbo can still own properties in Nigeria.
All Biafra is asking for is the freedom to chart their own destiny, formulating progressive laws that are not inimical to development and build back better their homeland. Imagine the amount of presently subdued minds that will be released from their mental shackles and the increased international trade with booming importation that an independent homeland Biafra could unleash. The Jews did it and so can Biafrans. Lets go for the final push and permanently push off the yoke of Fulani/Hausa hegemony on our necks and save our generations yet unborn from suffering the same fate in the hands of a very oppressive ethnic irredentists seeking perpetual domination over the rest. These people are the least educated and least traveled in Nigeria, yet they are lording it over everybody. Say yes to no election in Anambra State on November 6th, 2021 and say hello, welcome another sit at home protest. Long Live MNK; Long Live Biafra! Biafra Lives Matters. #VivaMNK.
