ICHEOKU says veterans of Biafran war who fought to save the indigenous peoples of Biafra (IPOB) and despite their gallant effort, over five million Biafrans were still massacred by the rampaging Nigerian army aided by their British and American as well as Egyptian war machines, we celebrate you. Despite the overmatched power, Biafran veterans held their own and kept Biafra alive for three long years until the economic blockade of food and medicine took untoward toll on their will of resistance. For their unmatched bravery, ICHEOKU celebrates them on the occasion of Biafra Memorial Day which falls on May 30th, which weekend we are now in. The rising sun will take its rightful shinning place again and possibly before too long. It is only a matter of time for the confluence meets. Remain the blessed and proud Umu Chineke which you fellas are. Happy Memorial Day weekend Biafra!
