ICHEOKU says if indeed Piers Morgan was a friend of President Donald John Trump as he often times frequently touted, he should command the president's ears. He should have the president's direct telephone line number through which to reach the president whenever he wants. He should also have the president's private mobile cellular telephone number as friends normally do. So that whenever there is any issue, both personal and official, bordering Piers Morgan or concerning the presidency of Donald John Trump, he can easily discuss it privately with the president.
But for Piers Morgan, despite his acclaimed relationship with the president which would have ordinarily provided a back channel line of communication with the president, to continuously publicly bash the president over his coronavirus pandemic effort, leaves much to be desired of a friend. As Julius Caesar would say and as would be paraphrased by the president, Et tu Piers Morgan? Why join the army of vigilantes out and about to get the president? Why go public with criticizing and chastising the president when he could have privately communicated his discomfiture to the president. Why did Piers Morgan not call the president but instead went on Twitter to attack the president over what he considered the president's lack of skill and competence in handling the coronavirus crisis.
That Piers Morgan went to the extent of using words like "stupid" to describe what the president was doing is a pointer that Piers Morgan does not mean well with his criticism, but wants to become just another pain in the butt for a president, who is already doing so many battles on so many fronts. Why add to the president's troubles and as a friend, don't he think that the president already has plenty on his plates. Why make the president's task even harder or shouldn't a friend be seeking a way to lighten the load which his friend is carrying? Piers Morgan acted with malice and his conduct was meant to damage and disparage the president, not to correct or point the laser at the right direction. His intent and execution are both faulty and he so desired it, period.
Had Piers Morgan not declared that he is a friend to the president, ICHEOKU would not have bordered with how he chooses to criticize the president. But friends do not pile up on their friends, especially not how Piers Morgan is currently going about it on Twitter. A matter made worse because so many people are already knocking the president and the president could use less detractors at present. But here is a Piers Morgan, a self confessed friend of the president, now joining forces and in the bandwagon of the president's traducers and you wonder why. The worst enemy anyone can have is the enemy within, the proverbial green snake in green grass; like Judas Iscariot was to Jesus Christ. How does the president protect himself from such a frenemy.
Piers Morgan is now another addition to the band of jackals who are baying at the president, including Michael Cohen and Anthony Scaramucci; people who the president took into his bosom but who ended up being what nobody would wish on their worst enemies. ICHEOKU says is not saying that the president is above reproach or that his "friends" should not criticize him, but that there are more acceptable ways of communicating their dissatisfaction short of through public Twitter attacks. If ICHEOKU had a back channel to the president as Piers Morgan made the world to believe he had, being his personal friend, would always call the president with whatever concern or opinion ICHEOKU might have regarding the way he is running his administration. That's how true friends act, they are unofficial backroom advisers; but they never publicly take side with the enemy against their supposed friend.
Piers Morgan is complaining that the president unfollowed him on Twitter and you ask Piers Morgan what did he expect to be the president's reaction, watching his "friend" go rogue on him in such a public manner. It is also not on record that Piers Morgan previously tried reaching the president but failed or that the president did not listen to his wise counsel; he just went public, believing that it is what the woke generation expected of him. Such a betrayal should not be accommodated, not by the president and not by anyone for that matter. Piers Morgan was malicious in publicly airing his discontent with the president and it is inexcusable. Friends do not upend their friends that way, otherwise with a friend like Piers Morgan, President Donald John Trump does not need an enemy, not anymore.
A time like this requires the support, counseling and reaching out by the president's friends to help the president succeed. The president was fighting too many battles before now that the coronavirus have made it more complicated and all he needs now is not the extra distraction of Piers Morgan. Therefore, it is fiendish for Piers Morgan to choose now as the time to strike at the president and to continuously pile up on the president as he is currently doing now on Twitter and other media houses is enmity not friendship. But who knows his motivation, except that Piers Morgan was once fired by CNN for tilting to the right and now appears to be seeking a second chance at revalidation. Piers Morgan probably figured out that the fastest way of accomplishing this is through an onslaught at the president. Now he is a hater who does not mean well for the president. But the good news is that those ones who came before him did not succeed and so shall he too fail; as the harder they come at the president, the harder they fail underneath his crushing feet. What a joke of a Brit.
