WUHAN CORONAVIRUS: WHY THE GOVERNMENT EFFORT IS NOT APPARENT.

ICHEOKU says American people wants their life back, to come back to normalcy, to what they are used to before the pandemic. So until this is achieved, they  cannot really appreciate the effort which the government is making to get a handle on the Chinese Wuhan virus disease and make America safe again.

It is true that the President and his task force on Coronavirus are doing tremendous job to arrest the situation, including banning travels from Europe, United Kingdom and China, as well as other afflicted regions of the world and pumping money to various areas of the counter virus measures. But American people want these actions to translate into a common language which they can understand, which is to get their country back and resume their normal life of mingling, going out and just being free as they live, enjoy and pursue their respective American dreams.

America is the land of the free and home of the brave and nothing less or short of this endowment Is an acceptable substitute to the American people, no matter how fleeting it  lasts. American people are used to being free, including free from virus and will not accept that a virus named Corona would take this their freedom away. Therefore the government must be cognizant of this consequential fact and double or even triple its effort to arrest this Coronavirus before American people start losing their minds over the threatening shut down of their country. The Coronavirus must not be allowed to get the upper hand as adjusting is often very difficult, especially when it is from everything which has sustained the country and made it what it is.

Unlike 9/11 when American people were asked to adjust for extra security checking at the airports, but were allowed to avoid this little inconvenience by not flying; this Chinese Wuhan pandemic has not afforded American people the same or similar choice. Instead, everything that makes life livable in America is effected, including sports, shopping, traveling, schools, colleges, dinning out, theaters, mass transits, movies, concerts and gatherings of any kind. In short, the Coronavirus somewhat translates to end of life in America as a society, as there is no way in hell any sane person can be expected to fully adjust completely to such an over broad, all encompassing, end of existence sort of situation.

The media thought that they were taking it to the president when they went ballistic with their hyperventilating coverage of the virus, only to find out now that they have created so much panic in the society that America is gradually shutting down. How can store shelves in America look like those in Venezuela and other conflicts ravaged areas of the world, not being stocked and suppliers not meeting the increased run on basic essential commodities. So many store shelves are gradually assuming the image of store shelves in Russia following the collapse of the Soviet Union, all thanks to the media which caused the panic buying and hoarding of every essentials that make modern living possible.

Should the president declare another national emergency, this time on the media and clamp down on their reportage until the crisis is over, may be. A sort of a martial law and rein in these wily agenda driven maniacal media which behaves as if they have another country other than America or are immune from the Coronavirus disease. instead of taking a break from their anti Trump frenzy and giving American people tips on how they can protect themselves and the latest updates on what the government is doing to quickly get the situation under control, they are busy diminishing the government's efforts in their sadistic attempt to damage the president and thus increasing the palpable fear in the country.

American people are scared and panicked about the unknown and are buying up supplies for a possible lengthy hunkering down. The media therefore, must help to assuage the panic which they created by lifting the fog of fear which they enveloped the country in with their crass reportages. The media must change course, revert to only a responsive, sensible and objective information based reporting and not continuing with their agenda driven propaganda which is causing serious mental anguish on the American people.

People are scared stiff of their fate and the fate of their loved ones and whether they will survive. How anybody, especially the media in America, could be this nonchalant about the American people's welfare as well as their psychological health is imply beyond comprehension. Why create such panic in the society as if the skies are tumbling down and turn American people into Chicken Little? The media needs to do some self censoring, understanding that their over-hyped sensational reportage on the Coronavirus is causing grievous harm to the American people and damaging the America foundation as a society.

Anyway, President Donald John Trump and his team of experts are doing wonderfully well so far with the counter-attack on Coronavirus and hopefully very soon, their effort will begin to yield the desired result, translate into a restored freedom in America. This is the ultimate objective and this is the only thing that in fact will really matter and make a definitive sense and difference to the American people.

So, until the magic hour strikes, the government should know that American people are deeply worried and their panic might translate into something ugly, especially if their store shelves and water supply completely empties out and dries up respectively. ICHEOKU prays it will not come to that and commends the government for their effort so far, in both reassuring the society and in trying to solve the virus problem and restore America back to what America is and stands for, a FREE country.
