IPOB: NOT A TERRORIST ORGANIZATION - USA

“The United States Government is strongly committed to Nigeria’s unity.  Important political and economic issues affecting the Nigerian people, such as the allocation of resources, are worthwhile topics for respectful debate in a democracy. Within the context of unity, we encourage all Nigerians to support a de-escalation of tensions and peaceful resolution of grievances.  The Indigenous People of Biafra is not a terrorist organization under US law.” - Russell Brooks, United States of America.

ICHEOKU says Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) is a separatist organization led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu which  wants a number of states in south-east Nigeria, made up mainly of people from the Igbo ethnic group, to break away from Nigeria and form the independent nation of Biafra. To achieve this, IPOB is calling for a referendum and will continue to agitate until the Nigerian government fixes a date for the referendum "to settle the issue of Biafra in a civilized and democratic manner, once and for all. With the America rejection of the terrorists tag on IPOB, following European Union's earlier rejection; President Muhammadu Buhari and his Fulani Government of Nigeria seems to be running on empty, trying to brand innocent people terrorists. ICHEOKU says shame on them!
