What President Jonathan sought by removing his trusted kinsman as National Security Adviser and leaving his security in the hands of his main opposition bloc, Jonathan has now got as Boko Haram bombers has finally penetrated Abuja and within a few striking distance to Aso Rock. What a fiery touchdown at Aso Rock it would be if these lunatics find their way since these two bombings must be test-runs and feeling the grounds respectively.

What happened to the middle belt or even Yoruba Southwest; afterall Colonel Areh is still around and knows much about national security. All Jonathan would have done was effect a minor cabinet reshuffle, move the Internal Affairs minister out of the present Middle Belt region to some other region and then appoint a Christian Middle Belter as his new national security adviser. But hey, who knows what the gods are up to and thinking about the president anyway?
