"We cannot only depend on prayers without hard work. The ongoing Boko Haram crisis is lingering on because those who should speak out lacks the courage to do so and people can do and say whatever they like without consequences. The spokesman of Boko Haram was arrested and only given three years for misdemeanor when we all know that it is terrorism and then we begin to wonder what is going on.
“There are also people who said they would make Nigeria ungovernable if they didn't win the presidential election and I don't think anything has been done about that. Someone else took the opportunity of the fuel subsidy removal protests to call for regime change and they are all allowed to walk freely on the streets after their treasonable statements. The problem is that people don't want to tell the truth. If we are all able to come out and handle things the way they should be handled, we would have nipped everything in the bud." - Governor Babangida Aliyu of Niger State speaking on the fast deteriorating state of Nigeria.
Icheoku says this man has a fan in us as he has consistently rose above board to speak up on matters affecting Nigeria as a threatened entity, principally due to the irascibility of the ever violent and easily provoked Islamic Northern Nigeria; particularly their insurgent Boko Haram. Icheoku says if only all other Northern so called leaders like Danjuma, Gowon, Buhari, Babangida, Useni, Ciroma and of course Atiku could bravely rise up and face down these terrorists in their midst and tell them to back down and back off. What a people that are not deserving of inclusion in the Nigeria experimental geography which makes Gideon Orkar's failed attempt at redressing the problem continually more regrettable.
