LOVE IS NOT A CONVENIENT ENTERPRISE?

Loving friendship is not a convenient venture; it requires a lot of sacrifice and pain. Jesus Christ died upon the cross not because it was easy but because he had to do it for his love of mankind. So when a friend tells you it is not convenient, ask yourself whether it is worth it? If a friend cannot take some pain for you, or suffer some inconvenience on your behalf, then such friendship is suspect and should be reviewed or jettisoned. True friendship involves some level of pain and suffering in addition to the other superficials of wining and dining which some novitiates solely mistake for love?
