MARTIN LUTHER KING JR., A BIRTHDAY ANNIVERSARY!

To the man who prophesied a Barack Obama's presidency, Icheoku says, happy post-humus birthday to you! Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I have a dream" speech is today, a reality; and in the White House is an African American president who was judged not by the color of his skin but by the content of his character.
When Martin Luther King Jr foretold several decades ago what is possible in today's America, many people never knew that, to his many attributes, he was also a prophet. In their midst was a prophet, who was without "honor and unknown" in his country? But belatedly though, many now acknowledge and some even reluctantly that he was definitely a unique and special kind of person.
So, as we mark his birthday today January 18, 2010, Icheoku prays that America continues to give purpose to his dream; and that before too long America will be more united, more color-blind and together we all can help make America, greater and better for all to live in as well as enjoy the bountiful opportunities, therein abound. Once again MLK, Icheoku says, thank you for braving the trail that led to today's more accepting and more all inclusive America!
