BIAFRA, A MOTHER AND CHILD?

Icheoku says, a country that would starve her citizens to this level of living-dead and failed and/or refused to pay compensation thereafter, to the surviving victims of its machination, is mean, vicious and retributive.
The mother and child above, probably did not make it out alive from the genocide of Biafra; but they live on in this iconic portrait of man's inhumanity to a fellow man! It is because of mother's love, that she was prepared to still make additional sacrifice of letting her similarly emaciated child, feed off what is left of her breast-milk? To this mother, Icheoku says you are a great mother, the pride of every womanhood, anywhere!
Now you know why the memories of the Biafran war of self preservation against the foreign powers backed Nigeria government, is still very raw and provokes great sensibilities in the minds of the people of former Biafra, 39 years since the end of fire-arm hostilities? Biafra needs to be compensated for the war crimes committed against them by the Nigerian government. Icheoku says, this is the right thing to do and now is the time to do it; thereafter, the healing can earnestly begin. Until then, who knows?
