Another Nigerian high up has joined his ancestors, but this time however it was at a local hospital. Unlike others whose remains had to be flown back to Nigeria from various foreign hospitals wherein they expired, this latest ruler died in the land of his forebears. The Gbong Gwom Jos and Chairman of Plateau State Council of Traditional Rulers, Da Victor Pam, is dead. He died at Jos University Teaching Hospital by 5.00am on Saturday March 7, 2009 at the age of 73. The deceased, a Berom, hailed from Du district of Jos South local government and was the third Gbong Gwom Jos; the other two being Da Rwang Pam and Da Fom Bot. He ascended the throne of the Gbong Gwom in 2004. Icheoku says, adieu Gbong Qwom!
